K-Drama
Great show, highly rewatchable, wonderful characters and acting!
I have watched this show 3 times and will keep coming back to it during 'good k-drama' droughts. The cast and acting is wonderful. The relationships and stories are engaging, with so many funny and/or poignant moments. Watching it again I noticed different things I hadn't picked up in the first watch. I can highly recommend this drama. Something for everyone. Was this review helpful to you?
Messy medical drama on life support that's painful to watch
I have only watched 6 episodes so will update this review but I am having to force myself to continue - I want to see i it gets worse or better! The characters, in particular the ML, FL and Master Kim, are arrogant, self-centered and melodramatic. The hospital operates in such a BS way - stripping credibility from the characters, the set up and the story itself. Would doctors really step away from treating a critical patient to ring another doctor and yell at them or plead with them? No, a nurse or the administrator would call while Drs got on with doing what they could for the patient. I don't like melodrama and I think that's why this drama doesn't work for me. It's not a true medical drama or a romance. It's a drama about dysfunctional people looking for absolution or validation in their work - and so doing a crap job at it while being super sensitive and petty, and making everything all about themselves and their broken relationships and aspirations. I am only watching now to see whether the drama can be rescued from the slow motion train wreck it is currently, and because I am interested in later seasons (which seem to get better according to reviews). Was this review helpful to you?
