I finished Ep. 42 last night and was caught off guard when Hee mentioned "her mother". Has she mentioned her before?Anyway,…
Thanks for your answer 0 it helps clarify context.
"I give up with the year-count with these writers!"
But a viewer Should Not Need to Give Up!
It is a Very Big Deal with me that at the end of the drama, the dots are connected. Perhaps some dots are never connected, but a writer should at least prepare a story board w/the important time-lines, facts and character descriptions that show commitment to the story.
Anything less is contempt for the viewer. I don't like to be held in contempt. In fact. . . .I hate it.
I just rated a few episodes today (gave high marks to Episode 8 and YD crashing the wedding from hell). I usually drop a drama and don't bother with a rating before it gets this low. But this far into it? - there's a reason why the algorithm is trending down and it isn't just me.

Thanks for answer re: mention of Hee's mother.🥰
"Also i am sure there had been og plans to make the creep indeed the grandson of halmeoni for rehabilitation's sake as they planned to have him toned down a lot. But then they sent him off the deep end instead "
I mildly disagree - I believe the original connection (family) was supposed to be TK. "Strawberry" didn't even earn a mention until. . . .when? Episode 28? I know you all hate it - but the hints/clues (birthdates w/in 30 days of each other! visceral hatred from Day One!) were there - intentionally!!!!.
However, I agree with you that writer-nim decided to send him off the deep-end. Joon-ha was a semi-redeemable rogue until about Episode 29 and then. . . .all I can say is that they really did actor Jung Eun Jae dirty by having him promote a promised secret family connection - absolutely unforgiveable.😢😢😢
I'm trying to distract myself from this afternoon's dental appointment, so since it's a quiet Thursday, here are…
I finished Ep. 42 last night and was caught off guard when Hee mentioned "her mother". Has she mentioned her before?
Anyway, now that they have given us a rather "firm" age for Strawberry (which means Granny gave birth at age 14 or 15!!!!), it all lines up that Hee's little boy is a Gong and if he needs that Gong rare blood transfusion, all is good. I don't believe that was the original story because Hee was as useless as the pharmacist lady and the co-worker w/r/t to creating angst with the oldest Gong grandchildren (CM and JM).
My recollection is that Hee was DS' first love but it was something like 20 years ago. But then everything else that originally happened "20" years ago has now recalibrated to 16 - no make that 15 - no it's 17 or 18 years ago. 🤣🤣🤣
Someone Tell me about Seo Ji Hoon character ?! Like screen time , any love triangle
Although I didn't begin this drama just for Seo Ji Hoon (although he was one reason), he is pretty much the ONLY reason I am continuing to watch beyond Episode 6. I was hoping there would be more re: the mysterious disappearance of the ML's ex-girlfriend but at this point it just seems to be a plot device to that will become the center of the romance - the why and how won't matter in the end.
About six weeks ago, I posted that TRHC is a Five Book novel.
“Book # 1 - the set-up and first Major Cliffhanger at Ep 8 (YD crashes the wedding) Book #2 - a family gradually forms and Major Cliffhanger at Ep. 20 - TK tells YTD he "likes her" Book #3 - Romance. Major Cliffhanger at Ep. 30 - 1st medical trauma (YD)
Speculation: Book #4 - all dragons are slayed, life is good but old, forgotten mysteries begin to appear and Major Cliffhanger at ep 40 (I'm guessing Baby Real medical trauma, but it might be sudden appearance of ??)”
STATUS: Accurate insofar as all dragons were slayed and life is good as of Episode 40/41. Lots of kumbaya moments, more dragons (JH/SJ) slayed in Episode 42 so Book #4 ends at Ep 42 with. . . . . . . the sudden appearance/revelation of “Strawberry”.
Finally, I speculated that Book #5 would be: "clean up on Aisle 9 as all problems are resolved, all secrets are revealed, and every major character gradually finds happiness.”
The SFL is getting on my nerves to the point where I just want to smack her. like girl stop pulling these psycho…
Lee Si Woo is a great actress, isn't she? I assume that the character of Syaon will eventually get a meaningful character redemption or turn-around.
I'm watching this drama because of her and Seo Ji Hoon. Main couple bores me to tears because of writing and pacing - extra long pauses, staring off into the distance, the dialogue isn't witty or remarkable.
I think there’s is something fishy about him and that he was involved in the whole thing about Kim Do Ha’s…
I think CEO knows what happened and iirc, both he and his brother are the "alibi" for Do Ha. CEO's wealth is clearly reliant on Composer Do Ha and Singer Syaon which is why he is protecting both of them.
We aren't even sure what Kim Do Ha believes or knows, do we?? (I keep falling asleep watching this drama) other than he thinks that his "break-up" was somehow the cause of. . . . . .what?? suicide? disappearance?
Ok so the territory is something that actually comes on it's own but when moon joined them, they found out that…
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
One of the biggest mistakes Season 2 made (in my opinion) was assuming that all viewers had watched S1 and therefor knew everything about counters, the Territory, etc. When Jeok Bong joined the group - his first meals, etc - it would have been a great time to provide a brief refresher on the different levels of evil spirits, what the Territory does or doesn't do.
I have a theory but I have to tell you a big spoiler. Are you sure you want to hear it?
Most viewers do not know about the cancer back-story (although it was mentioned in early press releases). But yes, when he didnt tell her the truth about where he had been or why he was exhausted it was because he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. But she broke up with him before he could tell her. My assumption is that he didnt want to burden her at that point or guilt her into returning to him. It is a big "spoiler" but i think it will be revealed in episode 8 -- the midpoint of the drama. Just my guess.
If it is KST, I know how to convert for my time zone in the USA.
When you said "PST" did you mean "PDT"??
Also, I didn't realize the raw version was on Kokowa - In order for me to watch raw Korean broadcast , I would have be up at 4:00 am (PDT)! Have done it before for one of my favorite dramas, but THRC isn't worth that kind of effort.
For those who watch on Kokowa, when do the TRHC subs usually release KST time??
I wasn't going to subscribe just for TRHC but now an older drama on my watchlist is available (which I could easily watch w/in the two week free period). Just wondering if Kokowa would make financial sense if TRHC released early - it's usually late at night (for me) on Viki so it may take several days before I watch.
No, still no relation! Ye on Doo is NOT blood related to Granny.
Cousin in-law? Well, it beats the alternative which I'm still holding out for.
I know you hate the idea, but there's a reason why Joon-ha's family history has been a mystery all along and a reason why we were told right from the beginning that the viewer would need to watch until the end to find out. So, unless the writers plan to toss it all aside (and since Joon-ha is a Main Character), I don't think they will. He's related to someone - and it can't be Kang/Oh or Jang.
As you know, the mystery is the only reason I still watch, lol. 😊😊
Oh definitely. twitter (xitter? pronounced shitter, how fitting 😂) buddy also said the actress playing the…
Still need to watch Ep. 42, but I don't think she and Joon-ha are full siblings. Joon-ha mentioned his dead mother twice, but nothing about a father. The "sister" is definitely not Strawberry's daughter. But Joon-ha??? Maybe - I'm not there yet. The actor said we would have to watch to the end to find out his family history.
I know this has been said, but I’m on 41 and how the hell is writer totally ignoring Korean law with JH? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬…
The writer is following Korean law. Several of us have posted the actual civil code which authorizes an UNWED bio dad to register their child to protect his parental "rights". Why should he have to provide DNA when the mother - in front of many witnesses - acknowledged he was the father?

Is it something that simply exists in different locations - which is why the Evil Duo is able to see it and avoid it?
Or is it something that only So Mun is able to summon on his own?
And what is the purpose/function of "the Territory"?
Communication w/Jung? extra support from Jung? Counter power is enhanced when inside the Territory?
I sped through Season 1 but I never really felt that there was a good explanation of the why and how of the Territory.
Thanks in advance.
