I'm reserving judgement (and I would be happy is this is true). However, this seems just a bit too early to reveal the JH actor said we would have to watch "to the end" to find out who his family is.

Maybe he's Gong, but I'm still convinced that somehow, someway, he and TK are brothers.

The delicious irony is that although she claims to work for the "God of Truth", she lies often and without regret.

I'm here for Yoo In Soo and wouldn't be watching if not for him. Not my favorite in-soo character (than would be Park Dang-gu) but as always, he's portraying a very unique character, unlike any of his other roles.

Thanks to Na Jeok Bong, the team saved Mother Ma's life.

I've been reading articles (Korean - translated) and I'm even more confused about the nun and the ring, how did TK discover this, etc. etc.

So (sigh) I will need to watch on my own. I've never hidden the fact that JH is the character that I find most interesting ("we will find out his family history if we watch until the end") and I dislike the path the writers have taken him since YD returned. As you say "Let's see". Thanks again. 🥰🥰

Maybe older step-sister? Half-sister? He resented the fact that she never helped out but still expected "her share" of whatever he did.

Heck, I guess I will need to watch in order to understand this, but does the drama imply that JH has known all along that he might be related to the Gong family?

Some viewers don't appreciate "nuance" - they want it spoon fed to them so they don't have to think or analyze what they are seeing/hearing.

Both seasons (and the characters) are based on the webtoon -- thats where the plots and world building come from

Caveat: I have not watched Episode 41 and won't be able to until. . .probably Monday. But after reading the comments, I can't help but wonder: where the f**k did all of the so-called Korean Legal experts sprout from? Did ANY one read the Korean Civil Acts?

Yeon Do acknowledged – IN FRONT OF MULTIPLE WITNESSES – that Joon Ha was Han Beul’s biological father.

Joon-ha DOES NOT NEED affidavits (certified witness statements). Yeon Do did the work for him. He reports that he is the father - and as I read Korean Law - that is sufficient. Yeon Do can challenge it, I suppose> What is she going to do - refuse to sign a statement? DENY that JH is the father in an affidavit (which would be fraud as far as she knows). Are others going to sign an affidavit that they have no knowledge of JH's putative paternity? (fraud/lie).

Edited to add: I do not claim to be an expert in Korean Law but I DO know how to read statutes, articles regarding legal cases and draw some conclusions - which, in this case, appear to support the process as outlined in the script.

Haven't watched yet, but how many times have I told you that Uncle DS TWICE told Bong Nim that she inherited THEIR father's good eyesight. And she has always been the oldest.

At some point, the viewer will be handed a tidbit - a corresponding strawberry hanky is going to appear - OR someone is going to remember seeing a similar hanky.

I haven't finished all episodes yet, but that was my first thought as well. And since this is a 16 episode drama with a good guy cop, just about the time she decides to return, she's murdered for good. By the person who has known all along that she is alive. That's how my mind works and I make no apologies because so far this drama is meh for me.

in later episodes (and I don't know when, but I suspect it will be soon since it was part of the original press releases), the viewer will find out why he was lying to her.

Off Topic, but I finally located the "reviews" for this drama. It's at the very top with the notation: "Reviews: 16 users". So, I did locate my review. 😊

In the past, reviews were posted in the "Review" section and easy to find/read, even when the drama was airing - perhaps MDL put a stop to that w/in the last few months? I wish they would clean up the part that says "There have been no reviews submitted. Be the first and write one" (!!!)

I still hold with my prediction that early in my so-called "Chapter 5" (that - after the kumbaya moment of Ep. 40 - appears to begin in Episodes 41/42) that either some medical crisis occurs and/or there will be a new face from someone's past. I'm still behind watching episodes and at this point only keeping track to see my prediction meter is still working. 😊

Lol, you must have been editing when I was writing my reply to you. I'll search for the article regarding the jumper in the poster.

In the webtoon, Jeok Bong's personal specialty/skill is smelling evil spirits. Similar to Mrs. Chu's healing powers or Do Hana's mind-reading. So the drama follows that part of the webtoon.

However, in the webtoon, he is also extremely strong/athletic from the very beginning - on his first day of training, he is able to jump higher than anyone else except so mun. See the first few frames of Season 2, Episode 16:

In the webtoon, it wasn't clear to me how Jeok Bong became a counter. He agrees to a contract, gets shoved through a door and that's it. He's also a conceited musician (and a bad one at that).

So, the drama took us on a detour in order to provide a back-story for Jeok Bong as a country-bumpkin devoted to his father but also someone with a heroic (self-sacrificing) spirit. I like the drama much better but I am VERY biased for Yoo In Soo. 🥰🥰🥰

In-soo is my favorite k-drama actor. I don't let other viewers bother me - what counts is what the Director thinks - and in the case of All of Us Are Dead, Good/Bad Mother and now Uncanny Counter 2, they came to HIM and asked him to take on his iconic roles - no auditions required. (I'm not sure about his Alchemy of Souls role as Park Dang-gu).

It appears that it comes and goes when his nose gets broken.

He also showed far more extra power and strength - something he didn't have before. In the webtoon, he is a phenomenal jumper from the beginning - but they held him back in the drama for some reason. He's the counter making the major leap in the early promotional poster and I can't wait to see what becomes capable of in future episodes.
