Question - as far as I can tell, the Bong Nim = Strawberry is speculation and but for some visceral animosity between Granny Evil and BN at school, is there any other hints/clues/foreshadowing? Because TWICE, Uncle said that BN inherited her good eye-sight from their father.
Meanwhile, Kim Hye Ok's (BN)agency sent a food truck with - get this - STRAWBERRY milkshakes.
And then in celebration of Choi Ja Hye's birthday (Ji Myeong), she was presented with a cake with - ta-da - strawberries and the little note said "strawberry" in ENGLISH (not Korean).
But she HAS to be added to the family register by her 'mother', right? And they both have to consent to it.....If…
My impression (but, unlike paternity legal rights, I never did a deep dive on this specific issue) is that the register is more patriarchal. The register is maintained in specific "ward offices" where the family officially resides - or, where the family "leader" resides so that he/she can ensure accurate information. Originally, it was based on the "MALE family head" although that may have changed in recent years due to recent changes in laws regarding paternity, adoption, birth registration requirements, etc.
The MOTHER is the only one who can file the birth registration wherever she may please - it doesn't even need to be in the same ward as the family registry.
I don't believe the "family registry" is a requirement for inheritance - Korea relies upon official (government) registration (with the ward office) for birth, adoption, marriage and death.
As of 9:00 am PDT (1:00 am KST) it's up on Viki - VERY early compared to many other dramas.
Thank you for explanation - it confirms some of what I have noticed (including the fact that sometimes the subs may be only 80% complete at time of release on viki and later completed or even supplemented w/notes on Korean culture/slang.
A year ago, I was watching two dramas. "From Now On Showtime" and "Sh**ting Stars". FNOS was available almost immediately on Viki (comparable to Netflix release w/in hour of broadcast) and SS - if we were lucky - would be 14-1 hours later.
I've been spending too much time in a hospital (visiting patient) w/nothing to do but browse the internet and today and I began to research Korean inheritance laws.
As far as I can tell, Strawberry is an heir if she is located. She cannot be disinherited. If she is alive (Bong Nim scenario), then she gets 50% of NX Group shares. If she is dead, then her children get her share.
I have no idea who Strawberry is (or was) - I'm waiting for a strawberry embroidered handkerchief to appear. But, regardless - there is more at stake than Granny Evil finding her lost daughter.
If JH is not the father then whom? The story will be pointless
I wavered for a few episodes on the fraternal twins part when "Strawberry" was introduced, (went from 100% certain to 75%) but I'm back to it. The visceral hatred between the two men (not to mention their close birth dates) is the stuff of k-drama makjang.

I think it depends upon if the sub team receives the drama in advance or not. 4-5 hours (such as this one) is VERY short. I've been watching "The Real Has Come" and it's frequently 16-18 hours later (after broadcast in Korea). I don't have time to watch right now, but hope to later today (tonight my time).
At first I didn’t like TK’s grandmother at all and thought that she was just an overbearing woman who loved…
I will always hate Grandma Evil - she terrorized her family for 60+ years. Used and abused others. If I had my way, her funeral would be incorporated into Episode 49.
All 3 evil spirits have nice clothing, hot bodies and styles... and they gave Yoo Inn Soo a bad wig lol (I know…
The hair might make some difference, but in the past two years, Yoo In Soo has played four very different characters and it wouldn't matter if he was wearing the same hair style or not - he brings a different voice and style to each one: Gwinam, Park Dang-gu, Bam-sik and now Jeok Bong. But I'm biased - he's my favorite kdrama actor because he is so versatile.
Are those ratings good or bad? Please provide some context and not just some raw numbers.
LOL, I eagerly watched the first few episodes of King the Land and eventually, I will finish it. - But once the romance was established (I paused at Ep. 8, I think) , my investment of time moved elsewhere. (Plus, major family emergency interfered) For now I have time ONLY for my favoritist kdrama actor Yoo In Soo and my gosh, did he deliver today as new counter Na Jeon Bong or Did He Deliver???!! 🥰
Ga Mo Tak trying to be so cool when Na Jeok Bong woke up in the hospital was funny and well-done. Even though produced by the same company and network, they intentionally avoided any Uncle Park/Dang-gu references or vibe. Sometimes k-dramas do too much wink-and-nod references to prior dramas or characters.
Meanwhile, some of the humor (especially in Ep. 1) seemed a bit cheesy and fell flat for me. Perhaps Ep. 1 was important to re-introduce the main characters? Episode 2 was much better, IMO.
Does she remember WHY she wanted Se Jin to marry him? Answer: So Grandma Evil could control GTK through SJ. It…
So if JH or SJ ever feel bad about what they have done, it will be okay with you. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That wasn't a serious question - it's all good - these ARE fictional characters after all. I'm way behind at this point, but enjoying the comments. 🥰🥰🥰
I loved how grandma said that she couldn’t believe how she wanted the biatch getting married to GTK 🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻
Does she remember WHY she wanted Se Jin to marry him? Answer: So Grandma Evil could control GTK through SJ. It was HER idea, not SJ's. She terrorized her family for 60+ years, used and abused those around her. No forgiveness from me EVER (even if Joon Ha turns out to be her grandson - I hope better for him.)
Well, DAMN - the whole reason I have been waiting for Season 2 was to watch Yoo In Soo - it's been on my Watchlist since he was announced last October and I even watched the original just to understand the series.
And I just discovered that In Soo doesn't appear until Sunday's episode!!! I guess I will sleep in tomorrow and watch later in the day. 😢😢😢
Do you have the original Uncanny Counter on your Watchlist??? If so, you will get a notification that a new episode will be released tomorrow (Saturday, 7/29). It is simply a "new episode", not a separate or 'new" drama.
Release is usually after the drama airs in Korea - I'm guessing 11:00 pm KST (Korea Standard Time) which is 7:00 am PDT (my time). Use a time zone converter.
delulu debbie the character has nothing to do with the actress tho. I bet she is a sweetheart irl
Since I don't like where JH's story is headed, I was honestly unhappy with the toys. But CJY seems like a remarkable actress. Her next role is The Main character as Queen Won Kyung, an apparently real person (and manipulative like Se Jin), in the drama "Won Kyung". I guess she's type-cast for now.

I wonder if we are being played by the writers.

Fortunately, I like Min hyun.
