Were there two comments about YD's father/BN's husband? This is from my notes (Ep 8,M ark 15)BN to her brother:…
Unfortunately, I don't take notes until I realize that there are certain secrets/mysteries to be revealed (usually about 30% of the way through a drama) and that clues or even "red herrings" have been sprinkled around - and then I realize that certain comments (like "brother-in-law" insurance money) mean something w/r/t to parentage. I don't have time to re-watch every single episode, so when I do re-watch something and an innocent/meaningless comment appears, I take note. Example: it has been mentioned twice that InOk once taught kindergarten. huh??? why mention that once, let alone twice??!!
In the end, unlike most folks here oh MDL, I want to know JH's family history. That's why I am sticking around and I will be furious with the writers if they flub one of the major "secrets" that has been there from the beginning. As they say: "Hell hath no fury. . . "
Well another theory Strawberry theory is BN IS strawberry but YD is not her bio child. We don’t know much about…

BN to her brother: "If you did not steal your brother-in-laws insurance money [note; "brother in-law" is BN's hubby presumed dead because of the "insurance money'), Yeon do could afford her wedding (this was during dinner with TK where he got drunk and they were both saying they didn't want a wedding). Uncle did not apologize in that scene.
I thought there was another comment once about Uncle "borrowing" the money for some get-rich scheme, but I haven't found it yet, so probably my imagination.
Lee Chae Min, the actor playing Min Ki (Qui?) is 22 years old, still in University and is booked solid (all on Netflix). Surprising that he is playing an older character in this drama but he's a rising star.

Okay, listen up. I have a MAJOR major issue with how YD is handling this and in effect treating TK. This is due…
Yeah, but if they were married, it wouldn't make a difference - under current Korea law, JH would have zero rights to custody, visitation, nothing. She must have left the father's name off the birth registration (to put in TK's name would be fraud). i'm not like bloomingtide and most others - I've never cared much about YD's story because it will have a very happy ending - but I just don't want to watch a supposedly intelligent woman be so f**king stupid.

Yeah, preach it. And even worse IMO is that by running away and not getting married, she failed to protect HER BABY. I can't forgive her (well, actually I can't forgive the writers) for making her so stupid. Which means we will get the Most Unimaginative Trope Of All - the demand for THE DNA TEST. The one thing I was hoping they wouldn't make the viewer suffer through just to fill up a couple of episodes.
I wondered why, after TK said at the very beginning to change the passcode on his door, they never did - and in…
SJ was in charge of decorating the new" hotel apartment" so she would have had the passcode. As for TK never changing it after . . . . how many months w/YD there?
Putting up w/brain dead characters in 14-16 episode drama is tough, but in a 50 episoder, the writer thinks the VIEWER is brain-dead. Don't insult the viewer writer-nim.
I don’t think BN will be Strawberry - that would make DW and YM cousins. I don’t think the writers would go…
As I've posted several times in the last few weeks, I don't think her hysteria/possesive love regarding TK has been hidden - it has manifested many times but never appeared full throttle until yesterday. I really hope we learn some of InOk's back story so that we can understand why she acts so desperately w/r/t him.

Bong Nim and her brother have mentioned twice that she inherited her good eyesight from their father. My impression of the writer is that they don't throw out red herrings (false clues) like that.
I woke up in the middle of the night (well 4:00 am my time) and decided to watch the raw feed for the first time. YD makes my blood boil with her noble idiocy. They jumped the shark today with all the cliches, not to mention that all other side stories have now "ended" apparently (JM/HW in particular). And why the hell is that Hee woman still in the picture - I swear if they try to make her into Strawberry that will be it for me because the age doesn't match up.
Excellent analysis. I think there were several prior "incidents" that show that InOk is obsessed with her son.…
Thanks for your perspective. Sounds like I need to watch - and probably won't be on viki until at least 9:00 pm on the West Coast. Venting her anger on YD makes sense because up to now, she has always protected TK and blamed others (OR, herself). But for her to make HIM choose - writer-nim not being very consistent. oh well, a plot device is a plot device, ut I prefer character driven stories.
I just watched the subbed version as well. I will not be watching that one again, ever. Like most of you, my neck…
Excellent analysis. I think there were several prior "incidents" that show that InOk is obsessed with her son. She was never bothered by the fact that he wasn't married or never stayed with any girlfriend longer than 3 months. Episode 4 (?): " Since I was pregnant with you, I decided to live as your mom. I decided to die as your mom and gave birth to you." She ran away from the family when TK said he would cut ties with the Gong family. She returned, only several episodes later announce she was going to divorce her husband (because the inexecrable Granny played a nasty stunt on TK). She was near hysteria in those scenes.
We don't know her back-story except: (1) she was apparently (?) married to TK's father and he died before TK was born. (2) She taught kindergarten. (3) She has endured humiliation from the Gong children for almost 20 years in an effort to protect TK.
The writer actually laid out the foundation for this (hysteria) if they choose to go in that direction; I hope they do because it would be far more interesting plot (InOk is more than simply TK's mother); why she has lived as a doormat all these years and why she feels so betrayed by the lies and deceit by her OWN SON. It isn't YD that betrayed her - it was her son.
BT, relax and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Don't stress out.I don't have twitter, but after watching the YouTube…
I haven't watched yet either and won't until Viki release late tonight, but my primary question is going to be:
Is In-Ok the real psycho on this drama (there were scenes in past episodes about her hysteria and possessiveness when it involves TK) OR, was today's rampage merely the plot device writers chose to give us a 5 month time skip and all will be well by Ep. 36?
As much as I like the 2nd leads, I don’t feel any connection to their characters at all. It’s hard to root…
Thank you. I was really looking forward to this drama (together with "King the Land") but I am repelled by the Main Couple story - she's a stalker, he is a moody, somber mental case who lives in the past. I think the fact that their story checks all the boxes that I dislike (melodrama, reincarnation, childhood trauma) meant that it was never going to be a favorite. BUT, several people said that they loved the 2nd couple in the webtoon even more than the 1st couple, so I stuck with it. This drama really needed 16 episodes OR it should have cut the Main Couple scenes by 50% so that other character history could be explored more in depth. Looking back, it was marketed as something cute and funny (the trailers, the flamenco dancing, etc) but it is pure melodrama. I'll watch w/heavy hand on FF button but it will get one of my lowest MDL ratings ever.
I noticed that many viewers have dropped this drama and only given it one star since last week.I find it amusing…
MDL ratings mean zero in the total scheme of things. Netflix Top 10 Global (non-English) and Korean (in country) are the ratings that matter. Millions of viewers (yes, MILLIONS) around the world love this show and will watch to the end - very, very few of them even know that MDL exists.
I was first introduced to the actress Cha Hwa Yun in "Divorce Attorney Shin" - a chaebol wife and grandmother…
Thanks for suggestion. I checked it out on Viki - and "Once Again" appeared . . . . . as a 9 episode BL drama! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But I kept checking and sure enough, the weekender "Once again" with Cha Hwa Yun was also on the list. I'll watch the episodes you recommend this evening (my time0 so I can be "prepared". However, I'm one of those viewers who think YD/TK deserve huge reality check for their deceit and lies. Mrs. Lee In Ok is just the one to do it - let's get this s**t over with and fast track the marriage registration!
Just one more day till momzilla arrives in Toky... err Seoul. We better brace us all for it😂Edit: Just saw…
I was first introduced to the actress Cha Hwa Yun in "Divorce Attorney Shin" - a chaebol wife and grandmother to Attorney Shin's nephew. Little did I know that she is the veritable queen of weekend dramas - however tomorrow's scenes play out, she will give a bravura performance and we will understand why she was chosen for this part.
