Loving the drama so far and hating that the rating is so low. This would be KILLING IT if it were on Netflix.…
It's killing it in Korea - highest viewership Friday and Saturday for an episodic series.

Latest article/press release from JTBC all but telegraphs a happy ending. Viewers are told to expect a "warm feeling" at the end, etc. etc.

As for my two babies (Seo Ji-hoon and Lee Joo-myung):

Seo Ji-hoon: "I hope that the characters who live their lives with their own circumstances will realize the power of caring for and understanding each other and support each other on how to get through it"
Lee Joo-myung: "I hope that the warm afterglow will remain in the hearts of viewers for a long time. . . "Please look forward to what kind of shape the love between Sun Woo-hae and Sung Jae-yeon, Mo Tae-rin and Kim Seok-joo will complete, and the colorful ways of life of the characters until the end."

I subscribed to Hulu for the specific purpose of watching this drama (Jung So Min forever!) but it Hulu doesn't release k-dramas until Wednesday in the USA - 4-5 days after airing in Korea.

It is the WORST APP EVER - tons of commercials and I can only watch on my computer. On my Smart TV, it requires me to set up a new Disney+ account. Ef That.

Classic kdrama rom-com and I intend to enjoy every single minute of it and if I must watch on the computer/laptop - then I'm back to subscribing to VPN.

8⭐ to begin, but unless they totally screw this up, it will be 10⭐ by Episode 6.

so a very not so happy ending is anticipated. not a drama i would go back to rewatching later because of the bad…
I don't care if Hae lives or dies, but I think he's off for that hospital in Pittsburgh - they wouldn't have identified a specific hospital name/location if it isn't intended to mean something. Or, perhaps I should say a good writer does not insert certain information/items into a narrative if they aren't important eventually. But, as you noted, this drama is a "mess."

He held a grudge against CEO Pol-du. And when the drama began, they clearly showed that he disliked Seok-ju - and then we eventually find out they are quite close. Some of the worst writing in the whole drama.

Why do we fall for Seok Ju? I think we see a mature man who is sensitive and sensible. He may have issues with…
Seok-ju is the one character that has a relationship with every single significant character (except, perhaps bookstore lady). In Ep 9/10, he interacted with all them - and showed a different facet of his personality with each one.

Nu-ri - caring brother (and sacrifices his pride (with his mom) in order to get her to exams)
Mother - caring, respectful son (classic Korean relationship - must be respectful but yearns to be independent)
Chan - utter contempt
Je-Yeon - shocked that his quasi-sister had sex
Lee Geon-no - co-conspirator embarrassing Je-yeon
Bang Han-ma - professional, reserved
Choi Gi Bbeum - suppressed outrage
Tae-rin - once again, swallowed his pride and pretended to be a "fan" to protect her from gossip
and finally. . . .Sunwoo Hae - Shock, anger and fear as he processed the news.

I know I over-analyze this, but Seo Ji Hoon is the reason I even considered watching this melodrama. Someone posted on Viki that "he steals every scene he's in". And it's true because he communicates Seok-ju's thoughts and emotions without words.

Seo Ji Hoon was only 27 years old when he filmed this drama portraying a 34 year old character! One of my favorite kdrama actors.

I noticed that as well. I think production companies are beginning to sign up critical parties to option contracts if the program can be structured into "seasons"

I just read: "Confidence Queen dominated Amazon Prime Video rankings, taking the No. 1 spot in five Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, and even entered the worldwide Top 10. " These are the ratings that matter.

Where can I watch it?
It will supposedly be on Hulu in the US on Wednesday. I finally subscribed to Hulu for the specific purpose. If it doesn't show up there, I plan to re-subscribe to a VPN so I can watch on Disney+ Asia. I will NOT miss So=min's latest.

I love "caper" movies and this one starred three very entertaining, talented actors. The plot was intentionally over-the-top but still more restrained than the outlandish Japanese version. Glad they are planning a second season.

Ratings in Korea aren't that great but this is Amazon's first Korean original drama for Prime Video and it's available in 240 countries with 30 different languages (audio).

Gave it 9⭐simply because connecting dots from i-rang's childhood trauma to the present was missing.

is there anything to watch in this drama, I usually like slice of life with romance but there's usualky some kind…
I don't consider this slice-of-life. It's a melodrama with much angst and trauma. I find the main couple to be boring and if you have watched 4 episodes, you realize that they take up 75% of the plot/story/scenes. On the other hand, there are some interesting side characters and the other main couple is delightful. If I didn't like the 2nd couple so much, I would have dropped long ago. The FF button is my friend.

The drama has repeatedly told the viewer that Chan "dropped off the daughter of the woman he was living with." Chan is not her father.

She calls him ajusshi ("uncle") and she calls Pil-do "ajumma" (auntie) as a sign of respect for elders - especially those that took care of her.

The scenes between Seok-ju and Tae-rin were the highlight for me and for once they were more than 3-4 minutes.👏👏

I feel like producers decided to make last minute edits which is why they Moved Ep. 12 to next week. Today's episode kept jumping back and forth in time (*current time, not flashbacks) so continuity was a mess. Sunwoo Hae tells Nu-ri that they need to talk as soon as her exams are over - but her exams ended and we never saw that scene. So did he tell her or not??? And after Ep. 10 ending (at the hospital), NO scenes at all between Hae and Seok-ju in Ep. 11??

It's like they are throwing a bowl of ramen at the wall and seeing what will stick.

I just checked JTBC web site and Ep. 12 will be at least 80 minutes. I hope they aren't going to make viewer watch 20 minutes of repeat scenes from prior episodes. Still holding at my 6⭐rating.

I signed up for HULU (USA) for one reason and one reason only - to watch my favorite Jung So Min and this new drama. However, all my searches are zero. Do I need Disney+ as well? If so, then I'll watch illegal if I have to.

Quotes from article:
"Kim Seok-joo is summoned to the comic room by Mo Tae-rin's surprise call. Unlike usual, when there was no disheveled hair, the disheveled hair and clothes give us an idea of how hurried he was to run."
"The changed atmosphere of Mo Tae-rin and Kim Seok-joo, captured in the church, . . .Kim Seok-joo looks at Mo Tae-rin praying. You can feel [his] affection for [her] in the way he never takes his eyes off [her]. Even if they are different, we are looking forward to where the relationship between Mo Tae-rin and Kim Seok-joo, which is so different, will go."

"The production team said, "In episode 11, the romance between Mo Tae-rin and Kim Seok-joo, who have entered each other's private lives, deepens. The unpredictable-to-tat romance between the two will create a different kind of excitement."

For all fans of the adorable, sparkling, witty "second" couple (pffft, they are the OTP in this drama - tell me why I'm wrong), JTBC released still cuts for Episode 11. I adore this particular couple - my one and only thus far in 2025.

Photos involve a "comic" room (???) and one is set in a Catholic church. Spoilerish quotes from article posted below

Does feel like this is going to be a weekend ruiner. I hope I am wrong and we get the miracle cure.
Maybe a two weekend ruiner? There will be only one episode (#11) this Friday (10/10) and the final episode will be Friday Oct. 17. No reason given, but sometimes tweaks or add-ons are a reason.

I view it as a good sign - they can't stretch out Sunwoo Hae's death spiral over two full episodes, so I'm hoping he's off to that clinical trial.

I've only watched first 20 minutes and I like the lawyer character. Probably because I like the actor. The ML/hero is already boring. Not sure if this is the right drama for me, but I'll keep at it for a couple of episodes.
