Sorry to nit-pick, but the JTBC website states he was actually 20 (in Korean age) at the time, presumably because he missed a year due to his illness. In Korea, high school seniors are "19" years old based upon the year they were born, not their actual birthdate. It's very confusing to anyone who uses standard international age protocols.
They are one of the loveliest kdrama couples of my (limited, lol) experience, but apparently this writer is known for last minute "break-ups/rushed reconciliation" of 2nd couple while he focuses on the on/off/on/off main couple. Which has been the status quo thru-out this drama.
Instead of endless angst w/main couple, I would have wished for a few more - just a FEW more - minutes of their high school years. Also, while we saw Tae-rin fantasizing/remembering Seok-ju many times, we didn't receive anything close to that to explain Seok-ju's recent pivot in his feelings towards Tae-rin.
My final rating of this drama will depend TOTALLY on how they handle the 2nd couple. Right now (and from the beginning) I have been at 6⭐.

As for the rest, I honestly can't tell why the writer felt compelled to write this drama.
Overall themes seem to be "does anyone remember the first snow of the first season" and "Just one stone slipped out, but everything crumbled". Those phrases are repeated over and over again throughout the drama (starting in high school) so perhaps everything will be connected in the last episodes.

Lee Joo-myung and Seo Ji-hoon got into a fight without realizing that they were being attracted to each other. In the meantime, the released photos foreshadow a change in their relationship. Seo Ji-hoon's sad face, which rarely shows his emotions, is unusual. Lee Joo-myung comforts him and pats him on the shoulder, making us guess that they are getting closer.
Lee Joo-myung's unstoppable straight line was also captured. Lee Joo-myung, who strides up to Seo Ji-hoon as if he is about to kiss him, and Seo Ji-hoon's expression, which is confused by the unannounced straight line, attract attention.

Reading the official character descriptions has helped me to interpret/sort through the dialogue and figure out character motivation, but many viewers continue to ask the question - why are they doing this? This doesn't make sense (especially CEO's obsession with Chan).
2nd lead couple is a slow burn romance. She had a crush on him in high school. 15 years later (when the drama begins), fate throws them into each others orbit time and time again, with no plan or intent.
Many viewers prefer them far more than the on again-off-again romance of the OTP/main couple. 2nd lead couple is primary reason I'm continuing to watch the moment the episodes are released.
Anyone else re-watch that beautiful bubble scene between Mo Tae-rin and Kim Seok-Ju.??? I think I've re-watched at least 10 times. - adore the look of wonder and joy and each face.

I always wonder how Korean drama fans view these matters. The fact that Sunwoo Hae was in a hospital after his mother's death is mentioned on the JTSB website. He has been shown to be taking medicine and getting regular "annual" blood work. So, do Korean drama fans read the PR/public information? Or. . . .note that he is taking pills and note that he is getting reminders to come in for scheduled blood work. The hints were there all along,but viewers who are 100% focused on the romance or the cinematography or a particular actor probably missed it.

JTBC took a gamble that a big name celebrity (SJK) would entice viewers to watch back-to-back on a Friday night. It might have worked for an exciting or mystery drama, but lovely (cinematography) plus slow-mo plot isn't enough.
As always, the best part of the drama (for me) were the scenes with Tae-rin and Seok-ju and I adore them more than ever, but writer still treats them as mere filler in between long, boring scenes of main couple angst.
However, for the very first time, we find out the last name of Je-yeon's mother (Kim Su Jin) and wonders of wonders - it's the same as CEO Kim Pil-do. Are they sisters? Mom didn't seem to want Je-yeon to date Seok-ju - she wanted Seok-ju to set her up with a co-worker accountant.
If Je-yeon and Seok-ju are cousins, then this would explain their quasi-sibling arguments which seemed out of place if they were mere classmates. He also called the mother "auntie" - so perhaps they were simply very close neighbors growing up. Anyway, I like this twist very much. 😊
Also we finally got some insight in Seok-ju's childhood growing up with his mother - someone I rather sympathized with previously, but boy she went into bitch overdrive today.

Jo Han Chul is a great actor - able to transition from fool to anger to anguish in one scene. But it fell short for me as well because the viewer still doesn't get much insight into what was happening with him mentally/emotionally back then (when Hae was 13 years old - 20 years ago).
