The title "switch" is Quite unique and a harbinger (hopefully) of more small and charming elements of this drama.

Everything associated with the swimming pool - especially when ML leaned down to touch the water - was enchanting. But some say boring?? To each our own lol.😊😊😊

I love the direction. The swimming pool scene, for instance. Writer can write it - but it takes an incredible director and cinematographer to film an enchanting scene like that.

She also left Korea after only 1 year at Hangkuk University. Her mom said she "ran away". More revelations to come.

I have no theory on the 1-year sabbatical - could be anything. In the US, major tech companies give senior employees significant sabbaticals at the 5 year mark. Very Un-Korea-like but it's definitely a possibility for a big name US tech company.

Humans love these type of stories. From time immemorial. . . or at least since. . . .Shakespeare ("Much Ado About Nothing") or Jane Austen ("Emma"; "Persuasion"; etc.).

Squid Game may have been a ratings blockbuster, but the other dramas/novels I mentioned have been read and/or viewed by millions - yeah, millions - more.

Eventually. And we will eventually learn why she went to University in Korea (with Seung-hyo, I believe???) for only 1 year and then "ran away" (mom's words) to the US to finish her college/university education.

I know many viewers think that Seung-hyo feelings for Seok-ryu were "true love" (in highschool?? Give me an effin' break), but I hope there was more to their relationship than simply "me crush on you/cry/sob".

I like the way the writer/director introduces an episode with a title and then switches it at the very end. Hate/Love; Stop Line/Starting Line.

but I think the ex will show up eventually - simply the fact that he is Korean makes it seem likely.

I believe that in the next 6 episodes we will see more and more of their childhood/adolescence before she left for the US. The scene with the kids will be hilarious - and perhaps many missed opportunities and misunderstandings during adolescence. They understand everything about the other - except what is buried deep in their hearts.

Okay, Kevin Toronto and Ivy, I re-watched the flashback scene and there is one sentence that she was no longer needed, but it's unclear with all the other critiques/Korean bashing that follows. But, for now, she is apparently lying about what happened w/regard to both job and broken engagement.

I like the idea that she came home to "reboot". I hope to God she isn't pregnant because apparently early in her marriage, Seung-hyo's mother accepted a position in Paris and then found out she was pregnant. That would ruin the drama for me, but kdrama gods like to do those parallel stories, don't they? 😟

According to the official synopsis and various articles, Seok-ryu quit her job. I suppose that may turn out to be false eventually, but for now, that's the official plot.

That was my impression as well - she heard people not only bad-mouthing her - but they were bigoted as well. She wanted to be with her fiance and talk it over - and she discovered him cheating. Her perfect life in the US was a fraud, Since the fiance was also Korean, I anticipate we will see him eventually and discover more.

Sunday evening is usually a bit higher than Saturday. but it's a strong start. 😊

Are you looking at the time on MDL? MDL shows the time zone for where YOU live - not Korea.

You need to look at the time it airs in Korea. According to the tvN site, it starts at 9:20 and ends at 10:40 pm (KST). The first 10 minutes are commercials.

In the United States, we add one (1) hour to 10:40 pm - it should release on USA Netflix NLT 11:40 pm (KOREA time). Use a time zone converter to calculate your location. In my location, I will be rising early in the morning 😊

It usually uploads on Netflix 30-60 minutes after it ends in Korea. So, sometime between 11:00-11:30 pm (Korean Standard Time).

Thanks for the explanation. I don't like horror, but one of my favorite actors is Seo Ji Hoon and I was interested in knowing what kind of character h e would play. There's no one better at playing a sympathetic victim (Midnight Studio) or SML (Lovely Liar) but repeating another role as "victim" won't be enough for me to watch. 🙁

Hopefully he does NOT play SML again - he deserves a "happy" role.

Very enjoyable 1st episode with many, many camoes/supporting roles of favorite "senior" actors.

But. . . altho clearly a comedy, I'm mot sure if it is Soap Opera Comedy Korea style? Or, Korea comedy with soap opera undertones? the guitar music is right out of a telenovea, 😂

Regardless, it is quirky and amusing with endearing cast members so I hope it maintains the vibe. . . whatever it is.

Finally completed (been very busy lately) and glad I did (gave up on several other dramas). A lot of fun and some amazing cameos. Gave it only 9⭐because I consider it a shabby trick/meaningless plot device when an innocent is killed.

Very much looking forward to a Season 3. 😊
