They finished filming in February - they can't assemble everyone together again easily for "new" material/scripts/etc.

I think this may be like Alchemy of Souls - in the middle of the series, they skipped a weekend and aired really interesting "filler" - behind the scenes look at the CGI, interviews with the cast as they explained some of their scenes and emotions (they could 'spoil' at that point) and some funny out-takes.

Unfortunately, those two hours were never on Netflix - just tvN. 😥

Apparently Eun Seong - but it's not clear just HOW he did it. 😊

Perhaps after being in a couple of back-to-back mega hits (Glory and QoT), he will be able to take his time for a different but equally challenging role.

However, I see his next drama is what will undoubtedly be another mega-mega hit: Squid Game 2. And there aren't too many "good" guys in Squid Game, lol.

it also beat out the current top weekender "Beauty and the Romantic", so I assume it was the highest rated of all shows, broadcast and cable in Korea for last week.

The process in Korea is this:

#In order to divorce "by mutual agreement', the couple must be married three years. This explains why Hyun Woo did not consider it prior to the three years - in that event, he would be required to sue and list why (cheating, abuse, etc.
#Once the agreement is signed, then it is filed with the courts (and I'm pretty sure it becomes public at that point - the drama is glossing over that).
#The parties must appear before a magistrate and confirm it is their intention to divorce. This usually occur w/in 30 days (90 days if children are involved). Both must appear in person - no lawyer representation.
#Then the magistrate approves and it's final.

I have no idea if the drama will follow the law or not - they've done a good job in many respects (how Eun Seong collected stock and kept it below the level required for reporting).

I would love to know how Koreans are viewing this part of the drama.😊

Filing the divorce agreement isn't enough in Korea - there is a process that still takes place.
if I was a Korean viewer, I would be asking - how could the divorce be final yet? They haven't appeared before a magistrate yet (a requirement when divorcing by 'agreement). it usually takes 30 days. They must appear together - attorneys cannot represent them.

Well, that's the law and I'm sure Koreans know it well.

Perhaps it's like a marriage. You can have the ceremony and considered yourself "married" - but it's not legal until registered with the local jurisdiction? ? So, they considered themselves "divorced" (they are living separately) but it's not legal/final yet?

#Father Hong asked if anyone had confirmed that Hyun Woo signed the divorce document - so that's still an open issue because we never saw Hyun Woo placed his seal on the document.

Ahhh. . . but one reason it's a masterpiece is that the writer does turn the tables - plot, afterplot, after plot.

There's no doubt in my mind that we will get several more twists, including the son's paternity and Da Hye doing her bit to turn the tables.

Whose identity did she steal??? She used her legal name when she married Soo Cheol.

Da Hye didn't commit fraud - she used her legal name when she married Soo-cheol.

However, it looks like she took some of the family "treasures" and may have taken them to the USA - not clear if it was legal (authorized by Madwoman Moh?) or if she declared them thru customs. Might be the way Hyun Woo tracks her down.

I'll repeat what I said earlier: This is a drama. A play - like in a theater. Act 1 was Episodes 1-8. Today was Act II, Scene 1. 😊

I think she wrote it that way so that he would hate her. But of course, he doesn't.

Now that Da Hye is in New York City, perhaps Hyun Woo can convince her to help him -----OR --- face criminal charges for taking stolen goods internationally??? That's what I want to see.

I do feel bad that so many MDL'ers hated today's episode, but I'm enjoying this roller-coaster ride very much. We just completed the first big climb/descent (Ep. 1-8) and now some more twist and turns before the next big climb. Epic story-telling in my book. 😍

What's his plan? I don't know and looks like we find out tomorrow? But my GUESS is that he will offer to bring her back as President of the department store and he thinks that she wants that more than anything else?

The part I don't understand is the "guardianship" but Hyun Woo now knows about that (presumably) so unlikely it would work.

She needs that miraculous recovery because time is running out - she's down to a handful of weeks in the original 3 months.
