This writer never disappoints us. It's another masterpiece... so good and exciting to keep watching. All I did…
She won't die. She'll be pregnant.

With twins (lol, I'm a twin Mom so I always predict twins).

I don't know much about business, I only watch dramas and Kim Soo Hyun Lol. I guess I didn't learn anything from…
They haven't lost everything - but between Eun Seong's stock ownership (31%) and Mistress Bitch's legal control over Grandfather's shares, ( my back-of-the-envelope calculation is about 20%), they now control >50% of the shares. They got other shareholders to agree to throw the family out of "Queens Group", but they still own their personal stock, personal bank accounts, etc.

The danger is if and when they are prosecuted for fraud they will be personally liable and at that point could lose their personal fortunes - that's why Hyun Woo (presumably) advised them to disappear while he plans the counter-offensive.

That's when Hyun Woo will kill him with a sniper shot to the eye. 😊
My assumption is that he will be rescuing Hae-in from a deranged Eun Seong at that point. Or, call it wishful thinking. 😊

Guess the only way for the Hong family to have their company back is just for Hyun Woo, Hae In and her aunt to…
Unfortunately, Gramps knew that she was fake and still gave her the POA.

They need to prove that she's been poisoning him all along. - if they can do that, they can challenge the POA. Best way to do that is to get his hair analysis. Maybe that's why they are in a hospital - that would be fun. 🤣🤣🤣

We still don't know how she weasled her way into the Grandfather's orbit; what happened to the original Moh Seul Hee (assuming she was a real person at one time); is there anything more than greed (and obsessive ambition for her son) that has driven her to go after the Queens family.

Lots of people around her and Eun Seong have died "mysteriously" - that's the proof they need to bring her to her knees.

I have a very different view - There is no indication whatsoever that om wanted her son to marry into the family. In fact, in Episode 8, it was very clear that she doesn't want her son near Hae-in - she didn't want him sitting next to her at the 80th birthday party. I bet she doesn't know about the necklace he wears.

However, we shall see how it all unfolds.

I think eun seong has something to do with hae in's miscarriageIf they had a baby it would have been impossible…
Do you mean Eun Seong's mother? Eun seong wasn't in Korea for the last several years and certainly nowhere near Hae-in. I wouldn't be surprised if Mistress Bitch has been systematically ensuring that no further heirs are born to the Queens Group.

Uncle falsely accused of embezzlement and expelled from the family
Soo-cheol - somehow, Grace - who introduced Da Hye into the family - thinks that the baby is not Soo-cheol's
Hae-in - miscarriage.
And for extra noir value - the presumptive heir Hong Su Wan died in a "mysterious boat accident"

What are the odds, lol

Pretty sure we will, especially after Ep. 8 when Hyun Woo reminded Soo-cheol that he wasn't just "in the Marines" but that he was part of the Special Guard Team.

Hong Hae In is not full of pride? Are we watching the same show? She is literally one of the most self centered…
You are 100% correct - but now we will see her transformatio.

For eight episodes, the viewer heard all about Hyun Woo wanting to stay by her side and protect her (the two promises he made before they married) and Hae-in relied upon those promises and took him for granted.

And then viewers learned that the promises SHE made to him (Trust me and I'll never make you cry) were simply done because she wanted to marry him.

That's why the Ep. 8 Epilogue is so profound - Hae-in recognizes for the first time in their relationship that she wants to be by HIS side.

Everybody is "that way" for a reason. Mistress Bitch is evil and conniving because the hard life she had. Eun seong is evil because he feels abandoned. Soo-cheol is like a foolish child because his mother still treats him like a foolish child.

I did not understand...why she left? care to explain please? The scene was heartbreaking
Her entire identity was fake and she was part of the plot to help Yoon take over Queens Group. They paid her a lot of money but she had to disappear.

I think the baby is his but if the pregnancy was planned via the Queens Family Method (artificial insemination), it's possible that the plan all along was to ensure no more heirs.

Which, of course, puts Hae-in's miscarriage in the suspect category as well.

Do you think it's still possible for them to not push through with the divorce given that there is a law that…
This drama is pretty good about accurately describing the legal niceties - when they want to. I've been wondering about the 30 days as well - as in, did the 30 days pass already and that's why the divorce is considered final by everyone? My understanding (when I researched months before) is that when divorce is filed, it's part of the public records but then w/in 30 days the couple appears before a magistrate to confirm that both parties want the divorce and that neither party was coerced.

But they are on a tightly wound schedule - various documents and video dates show a time progression from late June to early July to late July - I'm not sure where the calendar is now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm convinced that Hyun Woo never placed his seal on the document - which means it was fraudulent and not legally binding - if he can prove it. 😊

I find the relocation of the family wierd. CEOs come and go, companies change ownerships but a chaebol always…
Hae-in owns the building in Youngdu-ri. 😊

The family has gone into hiding because part of Eun-seong's plan is to send them all to jail for embezzlement/fraud (Gramp's slush fund) at which point he would probably gain control of their stock shares while they are in prison.

Correct. I'm never sure what some of the corporate terms mean in S. Korea - manager, director, etc.
.To the extent he was the leader of the Queens Group Legal Department, he reported to the Chairman. However, to the extent he was also the leader of the Queens Department Store legal department, he reported to the CEO of the Departmment Store (Hae-in) and apparently can only be fired "for cause". I assume that at that level, he had an empliyment contract but don't anticipate that the writers will dive too far into the details.

His obsession with Hae In will be his downfall. Mama wants him All To Herself and sharing with another woman is not on her agenda. A few days ago, I said I thought that in the end Eun seong would end up killing his mother and folks said "why". Well, THIS is why.

Kill evil Mom and then Hyun Woo can provide the sniper kil shot to Eun Seong's eye and karma will reign once again.
