Last ep tonight. I realise i keep getting disappointed bc i have such high expectations for the drama but now…
Nah - it will be explained in a more rational way. Perhaps a few teeny, tiny holes in the plot, but overall the puzzle pieces will fit.
I have been waiting forever for THE flashback scene at the orphanage where Mad Mom decided that she was going to send her son to the USA and WHY. Truly, Eun-snake is a tragic figure (not that I give a s**t about him) but her rejection of him at a yong age was tragic. Rest in peace Eun-snake and Mad Moh. π₯π₯π₯π
Some comments and people...I don't think we will ever get something we all enjoy together at all!! π I know…
mdl ratings are meaningless. Korean Nielsen ratings [millions of viewers and another bump up for Ep. 15) and Netflix (we are talking about MILLIONS of views/viewers globally) count far more.
There's still the court scene not shown. Lawyer Baek Hyun Woo will be back. And then I guess Hyun Woo and Hae…
I don't follow much on ig - can you provide a link to the KSH "spoiler"? Or, has it disappeared.?
The lavender fields in Germany are part of the "Miracle" poster where the translated text something like: This is the place where their love story begins again.
And now, I will get on my soap box and say MDL viewers can cry and wail because they don't get 100% Hyun-woo and Hae-in lovey-dovey scenes non-stop or they can't follow the intricate plots and HISTORY involving a multitude of characters, but this is a Korean drama for Korean viewers and go pound sand you little cry-babies. π
Did I just post this? I might delete but probably not. π€£π€£π€£
Episode 16 pre-release ---- and THIS is why I love this writer (spoilers so donβt read further If you donβt want to knowβ The Pungsan dog and his owner return! Yeah. ππππππ Hyun-woo is back at the Hunting grounds. The very place where he and Eun-snake had their first face-off. Iβm feeling smug, oh yeah, because I said β over and OVER again, that the scene with both pointing their guns at each other in Episode 2 was foreshadowing their final showdown. Unfortunately (for my prediction), Hyun-woo isnβt carrying his sniper rifle β but he IS there (I assume) because someone abducted Hae-in (Iβm assuming the Snake because Mad Moh would have simply had her killed).
She forgot the events of her life, but remembers everything else, how to do her job, what her job even is, what…
I posted below about memory.
The part of her memory that was damaged was the Hippocampus. That's the part of the brain that remembers "facts" - dates, names, events.
Other parts of the brain are non-factual - subconscious, motor skills (such ask knowing how to ride a bicycle or drive a car), repetitive tasks, she knew she liked tofu (but didn't know if Hyun-woo felt the same).
Can you please repost the brain stuff u mentioned I want to read it again thanks. And I think she is pregnant…
I did do a repost a couple of hours ago. π But this forum is on fire today with most people coming only to whine and complain. Bunch of cry-babies, lol.
Try scrolling down - but I might repost again. I added that I think the writer is doing exactly what the memory post indicated- subconscious (today they showed her having a dream of a past event while in the hospital), physical/sensory, things that are triggered. She's not "falling in love again" - she prayed that she would be able to cherish memories of being loved and loving others.
you would think doctors at the hospital would run tests and detect if she was pregnant before brain surgery?
She would have been only about 1-2 weeks pregnant at the time. Ten days is pretty much the earliest you can test. And you would need to specifically test for pregnancy - it wouldn't show up in standard blood work.
Did everyone miss the hints that Hae-in is pregnant??
Feeling nauseus? I mean, writer-nim is laying it all out for us.
I don't think she knew before the medical procedure - she would have wanted to live if she knew. But we are now conception date late September and add 6-8 weeks and. . . . there you have it.
Nominally a mid-June due date, but baby needs to be born in May so twins - they come early. as a twin mom myself, I hope we get some fun scenes of Hyun-woo and Hae-in t coping with parenthood.
Honest question, I keep seeing people on reddit call this a makjang drama, does makjang mean poorly written? Also,…
The term is thrown around carelessly, but it commonly means "over-the-top" or preposterous, extreme plots. There are very few kdrama (including most rom coms) that don't include makjang plots devices - birth secrets, switched identities, blackmail., corporate revenge.
The type of makjang that I really hate is when a makjang moment occurs late in the drama for no reason other than to add a couple of episodes. For instance, a childhood connection is discovered in Episode 14 or birth secret divulged or switched identities. It's a cheat if there was no warning.
in Queen of Tears, EVERYTHING has been foreshadowed if the viewer was paying attention. For instance, we know that Eun-seong was an orphan - so it won't be a surprise if we find out who his father is (and, we may never find out). It was easy to predict that Mad Moh was Eun-seong's mother.
I have come to realise that maybe I might be misunderstanding the genre and point of this show. With Kdramas,…
I love the show, but yes - it's a Korean drama written for Korean viewers, although Netflix poured money into it as well, so some of old-school crazy Korean personalities (the type you might see in a weekender: shrill mothers who hit their children) or toilet/poop jokes have thankfully been omitted.
Koreans love plots involving chaebol families ("Reborn Rich" - the 2nd highest rated kdrama); crazy marriage ("Word of the Married", the #1 kdrama!!); rich/poor families (Sky Castle #3). Queen of Tears has it all - but with pretty significant twists from the three I mentioned.
Except for the prison scene, I loved the entire episode. π
Because I don't like to see sad Hyun-woo? It didn't add anything to the over all plot although they did connect his words to her notebook, I guess. π
I've never watched any of her prior dramas (and I will never watch CLOY because of the ending), but from the very…
Maybe it's because I've enjoyed the corporate intrigue, revenge plot, the family dynamics and team work, but this drama is exactly my cup of tea. Frankly, if it was just the romance, I probably would have dropped it long ago as I dropped so many romances this past year.
But as I always say, the world would be a boring place if everyone agreed on everything. π
