1. Getting her chef certificate will give her more cred than being an amateur. 2. Her dream isn't to "rake in the ad revenue", it's to follow Seung'-hyo's example: do to what she loves in a way that she will be able to support herself.

Of course, as I said - toward the end of the drama she will definitely embark on some sort of plan that will be fabulously successful. And then there will be some sort of crisis (business? medical?. Family/neighborhood join together and save the day.

Classic, predictable, charming.

Which is one reason why the ex MUST appear sooner or later. He will be the catalyst for unraveling the messy tapestry of their (SK and SR) relationship.

Noone knows that the ex cheated on Seok-ryu, so it's perfectly reasonable for Seung-hyo to believe she still loves the ex. We, the viewer, know differently so that's why we, the viewer, believe that the scene with the wedding dress on the i-phone is misleading.

He thinks she is still in love with her former fiancée. He's tried to be a good friend, but supporting her as she continues to love someone else is a bridge too far for him. That's how I interpret it - perhaps because that's how I would feel in a similar situation.

I thought she would only be on for one episode, two at most - sort of a catalyst for Seok-ryu to get jealous and Which worked for the plot this weekend.
But now? was her friendliness towards Seok-ryu a sham? If she's still carrying a torch for Seong-hyo, she won't be exiting quickly. 😟

Hah, very perceptive and join the crowd. He's Korean, he's an "international lawyer" - yeah, he's going to show up as part of the Grape/Griep contract and OF COURSE, at the precise moment that Seung-kyo is about to confess/make his move with Seok-ryu. Can Not. Wait. This is why I love kdramas.

Writer-nim has been slowly peeling back the layers of what happened 15(highschool) - 10(college) - 5 (Seok-ryu's 1 year sabbatical) years ago. Much more to be revealed. I enjoy it as well. 😊

In a 16 episode romantic and/or slice-of-life drama, Episode 8 is THE classic "accidental" or "pretend" kiss cliff hanger.

Ahhhhh - I thought the title/end revisions were actual/close translations. And. . . as I visit the tvn site w/Korean text, it doesn't show the Korean Hangul (고백) at the beginning of the drama but rather the English words "Go Back". For all other episodes, the titles are presented in Hangul.

Another strange piece of trivia. 그레이프 is phonetic sound of the word "Grape" and translated as such in news articles, but for some reason, Netflix intentionally translates it as "Greip". Maybe to avoid a lawsuit with Apple??

well, we will eventually find out, but I think there is a reason (involving her feelings for Seung-hyo) that she "ran away" to the USA after only one year at Korean University. Just as ML's ex may have been a re-bound after he found out about Brian, perhaps Brian was her method of burying her feelings???

Just because the writer isn't "showing it" in the same manner as Seung-hyo doesn't mean there aren't a handful of hints in the time-line or even the unknown known w/r/t the time capsule. Lots more to be revealed.

I think you are right.

We still don't know why Seok-ryu left the Korean University after only 1 year - I've wondered if it is because she knew she had feeling for him but something happened to scare her away. Maybe same fear that he had - afraid to lose their friendship. Honestly, I think that's where their stories (their "black history") are headed - and Mo Eum's role as the pathfinder becomes clearer.

In k-dramas, the classic inadvertent and/or "pretend" kiss is usually at the end of Ep. 8. 🥰

Maybe Seok-ryu's ex shows up and she grabs ML for a fake smooch? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Will be interesting to see how they revise it at the end.

Netflix calls it: "Charming, Feel-Good, Romantic". From the beginning, the writer has been slowly peeling away the various layers of everyone's story/history and it's working for me.

Definitely not a roller-coaster drama like Queen of Tears.
