"This is show is well written if you only focus on the main relationship" is unfortunately not true. Don't get…
Let me suggest a different way of looking at it.
It's called IRONY - and rather brilliantly executed by the writer. Mad Moh, not knowing that Hae-in had already decided against the surgery, decides to kill Hae-in. And it had the exact opposite result.
I'm not Korean, but perhaps they understand the concept of "fate" better than many of us, and I include myself in that category of not understanding. Mad Moh has spent 30 years trying to manufacture her own version of "fate" for her son - but she's up against a different "fate" (Hyun Woo and Hae-in) - something that wasn't manufactured.
You forgot one: Hyun Woo serves up the sniper kill shot.
Not if he's saving Hae-in's life! But, if he's going to die, it must be at Hyun Woo's hands. All of that foreshadowing at the Hunting Lodge (pointing his rifle TWICE at Hyun Woo) means something and it isn't just his financial downfall. I fully expect Hae-in to regain her memories in Ep. 15 and be part of his downfall (Episode 10 redux, but works for me). As his world collapses around him - both in regard to Hae-in and the stockholders/allegations of embezzlement, etc, Eun Seong will do one last desperate act and killing his mother won't be enough. Hae-in? Hyun-woo? TBD.
I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of her regaining memories. It's possible her memory loss is temporary due to the…
The drowning scenes (Hyun Woo' saving her) was part of her flashback when the boar attacked - and she has no idea it is him because she thought it was her brother. It absolutely will be connected to her memory recovery - or the writers were playing a stupid, meaningless stunt with those flashbacks. And so far, between epilogues and flashbacks, everything has been intentional, not fribolous.
I think Eun seong is going to overplay his hand again - perhaps claim that it was HIM that saved her from the boar attack.
Is it legal to set Yoon Eun Seoung on fire? Actually, can we set him on fire regardless? Asking for a passionately…
Pleading with my fellow QoT fans to stop fantasizing about a mysterious "someone" to take out Eun Seong and focus your energy on the scene where BAEK HYUN WOO will be the one to do the job - hopefully with a sniper kill shot. That's MY fantasy. 😎
I think We should all thank Moo Seol Hee. Her plan is the reason why Hae In decided to get the surgery 😌
I am really hoping that Eun-seong is the one to kill his mother when he finds out - not just the red truck but I still think she's the reason for Hae-in's illness.
The final episodes will be next weekend. The cast video is two weekends away.
I'm surprised/not surprised by Ep. 14 ratings - the end of Episode 13 (Hae-in refusing treatment) was the last straw for many viewers and the previews didn't provide any positive indication that she would change her mind. 😥
But now the viewer can look forward to the destruction of Eun-snake and Hyun-woo to get back into hero mode for both families. Ratings will go up for the finale.
This is my public service announcement for those MDL'ers who have been hoping for a sad or "open ending.
You got your wish in Episode 14 - this is the time to stop watching. 🤣🤣🤣
Because In Episode 15 and 16, Hyun Woo - the GD Hero of this drama - is going to rise from the ashes and destroy Eun-snake. He's not going to destroy Mad Moh - ES will take care of that.
HW is pretty much the one that has been talking to the doctor and nurses this whole time, not even HI because…
Preview for next week:
Eun-sung protects the side of Hae-in who has lost her memory with utmost devotion. Meanwhile, all the evidence during the investigation points to Hyun-woo as the culprit. Everyone works in unison to save Hyun-woo who is in a bind... In front of Hyun-woo, who is obsessed with keeping his promise to be by Hae-in's side, Hae-in comes to him!
I'm still holding onto my idea that her illness was caused by Moh and that she was recovering just fine while away from the Queens compound. What was that pill she took on the airplane? Why did her WBC go down after all her healthy eating and rest?
And once again mdl is so cut off from what other people think. Many such cases. Just finished the episode and…
They promised us a roller-coaster and we are on the last steep climb before the final descent. However, Ep. 14 was messy and still too many unexplained events, such as. . . just how did Mad Moh assemble an international gang of thugs in such a short time??
Definitely my least favorite episode because they threw in from left field one last contrived plot . . . . it's not even a "twist", it is simply a poorly contrived reason to separate them again.
KSH talked about the "fantasy" aspect of the show and I guess he meant Hae-in waking from surgery with perfectly coifed hair/no head covering. 🤣🤣
I think people here suffer from the waiting and overthinking about what remained in the story. Shut down ur speculation…
I love all the characters and I love to speculate. It's a great drama - caveat, of course, that Hae-in lives and spends the rest of her life with Hyun Woo. If not. . . . the wrath of,. . . . . . . etc., etc, but I'm not worried.
Partial rough (very rough) translation: HI: something about praying to see each other in heaven (??) HW: I wasn't praying to go to heaven. HI: So? HW: I want you to have the surgery. I won't ask you to save all of [my]? memories. I just asked to save you
Writer-nim has laid it all out about the power of prayer and Hyun-woo's prayers. It's all so obvious to me and I'm feel so sorry for those who are pessimistic. 😥
Anyone here remember our convo a few weeks ago about Hae-in's health - and the theory that perhaps Mad Moh had been poisoning her?
Today, writer-nim telegraphed many – like A Great Many – clues that Hae-in is not dying. She has already survived 1 month beyond the original date (diagnosis in late May/death est. late August). She hasn’t had a memory lapse or black-out/collapse in 5-6 weeks. One hallucination (Eun-seong) around the same time. NO evidence of a speech impediment. NO evidence of sensory loss. In Episode 13, in what was supposedly over a week or two of time, she suffered NO memory lapses and instead remembered a great deal – whether short term or long term.
As the Keeper of the Madwoman Moh Suspicious Body Count, Hae-in’s current health crisis has been a sub-category, “dying/poisoned”. Especially when Moh told her son “Forget her [Hae-in]. You will eventually.” It’s been almost 2 months since she was living at the Queens compound – thus 2 months since her food has been prepared by Moh. As someone here (sorry, I can’t recall who) speculated, the headaches could be withdrawal symptoms from poison.
So, although Hyun-woo’s video was heartbreakingly beautiful, I think writer-nim is gently manipulating us again and has prepared a very different plot twist for Hae-in. Which, frankly, would be a good thing if we don’t have to suffer through amnesia/time-skip trope.
That's Hyun Woo's job. With a sniper shot. Somethings ARE foreshadowed, ya know. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, it's the little things like. . . .Eun Seong and Hyun Woo pointing their rifles at each other in the forest and Eun Seong carelessly pointing his gun at the dog and then swinging around with it aimed right at Hyun Woo (who did not flinch) and saying with a smile "I almost shot you again." Plus the fact that Hyun Woo is a skilled marksman (Marine Corps Reconnaissance Unit.). So, consider it my little fantasy about the final end of Eun -Snake.
Perhaps no guns but I fully expect a fight to the finish but, alas, I suppose Hyun Woo won't really kill him 😥😥- unless Hae-in is in peril, of course. 😊

Nevertheless, waking up with perfectly coifed hair and no head-covering is pushing the limit of "fantasy".
