I just realised what it is that actually irritates me about the character of Gao Tu. Because as everyone says he is actually quite pitiful and hasn't done anything wrong per se. As I was watching a short c drama today it flashed to me that his character reminds me of those white lotus/green tea characters in these dramas who act like a victim and frame the clueless FL/ML...lol. The difference being Gao Tu doesn't do it intentionally like these green teas and the one's judging the clueless Wenlang are the viewers!😅 But it doesn't stop me from being annoyed as hell for the unfairness of it all.
Despite getting humiliated(either directly or indirectly) by SWL for 10 freaking years, GaoTu remaining constant…
Agree to disagree. For each our own. You like characters with unrequited long term crush without actually doing anything about it and self victimizing, that's your call. But I think it's not healthy or sensible. But that's my opinion and feel free to disagree.
The comment section is getting messier here . And someone even wrote "Omegas are loved bcuz they are fragile"…
Despite getting humiliated(either directly or indirectly) by SWL for 10 freaking years, GaoTu remaining constant is called strength? IMO, that's called typical doormat behaviour. I would have appreciated his so called strength if he had manned up and told SWL face to face that he liked him and if rejected, told him to f@#k off and found himself someone who respected him!
I practically skip every scene Gao Tu appears in including his scenes with SWL unless it involves HuaSheng couple. I didn't like the second couple track in the novel and I'm not liking it in the drama either. I had hoped otherwise but it is what it is. Surprisingly I just love SWL with Hua Yong and SSY.
On the other hand, what's with the glow up SSY is having? He is practically glowing more and more in every new episode!
I don't think SWL looks cruel. I rather think he seems like he's not the brightest candle on the cake and that…
SWL's hatred of omegas is related to his parents and childhood trauma actually but I think a bit of jealousy is also there when it comes to Gao Tu. Also I agree that SWL is the most innocent and naive and not Gao Tu. IMO Gao Tu lives in a self inflicted victim complex world directed and acted all by himself. He gets worse after the pregnancy by denying SWL his child for years because of a random statement.
I might be in the minority but I am not liking SWL-GT track as much as everyone else. I feel like the whole track is very very unfair to SWL. It is being implied that he is cruel to Gao Tu but what exactly is his fault in the romantic sense other than having an EQ in minus and not realising his own feelings? He is a pretty shitty boss I agree, but Is he in any way obligated to return Gao Tu's feelings just because GT has liked him for so long? Did he ask GT to disguise his omega status? SWL hating omega gender is a fact and not a joke. But the way the show is portraying it are we supposed to think SWL is the reason for all Gao Tu's suffering? I don't see how!!
ok in the novel how long are CC and WSW dating before they break up? And how long are they broken up for? I can't…
I have not read the novel but will try to explain CC/WS timeline as I understand. They were together for 3 years, seperated for 7 so total 10 years. CC met WSW after he was separated from WS for 6 years hence he said he missed him for only 6 of those 7 years.
Finally began watching it today after only watching snippets of first 10 episodes because of my phobia of snakes. Please tell me there won’t be anymore scenes with them…
Just finished binging 3 episodes and good God, the duality of Hua Yong is deadly! Whole episode 3 was howlarious with how he was manipulating everyone around him, especially Sheng Shayou. The S-Alpha doesn't even realize he is being conditioned like Pavlov's dog.😂
Everything aside, I just love to hear Hua Yong speak. His voice is so soothing I feel like I could listen to it forever!
What a mind blowing experience this was! I loved everything about this short drama. From actors to creators, everyone poured their hearts into it and it showed. Mainstream c dramas must learn a lot from this short drama.
On the other hand, what's with the glow up SSY is having? He is practically glowing more and more in every new episode!
