Made it to episode 13 and Ying Shi has really grown on me. Unfortunately my dislike for Xiu Ming has also grown.…
I had to separate the novel and the drama too, and in the end I kinda understand why they made some of the changes, not all I agree with, but love love love the chemistry between the leads! Hope you carry on watching and enjoying it more and more. ☺️
The colorfull atmosphere of the heaven realm is the most beautifull i have ever seen in a xianxia. It is so full…
It wasn’t a dream (at least that is how I understood it) - after be died, she gave up her duties and looked at the sky each day, when she saw his star return, she descended to the mortal world to find him again. To regain their power, they have to go through tribulations, when they were tied with the red thread, CK would only gain power at the detriment of XY, but the thread was broken when he “died” but some essence of him remained and he was able to reincarnated which is why she asked at the end who are you this time? He obviously remembers her and his smiles says everything. So I would like to think after they die in the mortal world, they would return to heaven together.
I actually loved it more after the rewatch. And I agree this is underrated.
Sometimes I do feel Chinese beauty standards are very toxic - DYX looked amazing in this series…I really liked YCY…had heard so much bad stuff about her, and I do think it’s so unfair.
Dropped after ch 15. Read the novel, it's so different and much better
I initially hated the changes too, but as it went on it was its own thing and CK in this drama is so much sweeter than the book version. XY was way cooler. I think they should have kept the big bad the same ie XM’s character but maybe played by the HX actor, as I ended up not hating XM.
Only other thing I missed from the book is the lip bite from the 3rd tribulation in the drama 😍
i love the main leads, i love the visuals of the entire show but i guess the storyline just seems slow and long,…
So glad you persisted - it’s a slow burn, but so worth it in the end. I have been on a time loop soaking up BTS and clips of the show ever since - CK and CH are just so adorable ❤️
Depends? It is different for everyone. For myself it is one of this years favorites.
Same here - it took me a while to get into it, mainly because of the deviation form the novel so it was quite jarring at first, but once I let that go - I was obsessed! Just is beautiful and loved their healthy relationship!
Hey there, fellow drama enthusiasts! If any of you happen to have some clear answers to the burning questions…
Well in the novel (which this show deviated a lot from, sometimes for good (CK was much nicer here than in the book) and some bad (novel had a more conclusive happy ending - they get married and she is pregnant) - their primordial souls are shattered and they have to cultivate to get back to the heavenly realm. The show already told us that by experiencing tribulations it restores their primordial souls, but the catch was that they had the same primordial source of soul - due to CK protection spell. But as he died for her, the red thread and his spell was broken, so I believe they were no longer tied. So I would like to think, that after 300 years he went through a few tribulations and they managed to find each other. More so he obviously knew who she was when they met up again. So all that was missing from the show was that they went back to the heavenly realm together and start life anew with twins and boy and a girl. That is what lives in my head. Saying that it’s been over a month and I am still not over them!
