I don't know if I should watch is or if it'll be boring hmmmmmm
This is literally my favorite drama. The characters are well-written and make you want to root for them (even the petty majun lol). It has a really beautiful message and you'll either be smiling like crazy or crying buckets the whole time. It's a drama that really makes you think about life. Anyway, I love it and would definitely recommend it. Hopefully after two years you'll finally decide to watch it ;)

So I watched this when I was 13 and now I'm watching it at 18. There's something I never really realized before. The dad, Il Sung I believe, is awful. He literally doesn't visit his wife in the hosptial when she's giving birth, he has an affair while she's giving birth, he never stands up for her when the grandma is being rude, and overall is really apathetic towards her. I'm also watching his scenes with tak gu, and while I'm glad tak gu has someone on his side at that poisonous house, how he favors tak gu is really disgusting. Tak gu literally just waltzes in and the dad gives him all sorts of attention. While majun is petty and immature, I don't blame him for hating takgu. Tak gu is getting attention that he never got. Also the older sister clearly wants to learn from the father, but because she's a girl he never teaches her or gives her the time of day? Wow, he just really bothers me and I can't believe how I didn't realize how awful he was when I first saw it.

He did an amazing job in solomon's perjury. I really hope he gets more roles, because he has so much potential.

Review Solomon's Perjury Spoiler
Wait so I have a question. I finished this drama and to be honest the ending really took me by surprise. I had guessed it was a suicide all along, but what took me by surprise is that jihoon left his friend on the rooftop. I just thought that was really out of character. He seems like the really loyal type so I don't know why he would do that. Also didn't he confide in his dad that he was worried that sowoo was more depressed than usual, and it was scaring him? And didn't he say he was guilty about his mom's death...so wouldn't he avoid being guilty over his best friend's death too? Also this guy is so calculative, as in he doesn't let his emotions take control...but on the rooftop he lets all his emotions take control. I guess I'm saying that I feel like it's out of character, and I really don't understand. Can you explain?? Because I feel like I'm missing something.

Did anyone else find the scene with joon ho and kijoon completely drunk heart breaking. Joonho clearly felt so guiilty for his friends death and was suffering so much, yet he had no reason to be guilty at all. agh it was so sad :'( My baby!!

my god, call the doctor. Everybody is losing their spines! actually, nevermind. they're evil too I can't…
I sorta get ki joon's perspective. I mean he thinks joonho is dead, and he doesn't want to lose jiah too. Jiah I think is pushed to her wits end. I think she's just thinking about survival at this point. But I do think that they'll come around. You can see that kijoon is already feeling guilty.

I wouldn't watch it...it's like an addictive drug. not good for you but you take it all the same. But if you really want to know watch it yourself. Some people really like it. I personally find it too illogical. But the one positive thing about this drama is joonho and is relationship with bonghee. I personally adore his story and find him the most well developed character.

I read a fanfic where he survives and had to pretend to be dead to be undercover. That's the ending I choose to go by

They're my favorite couple ever. If I was rating this drama based on the main leads I'd give it a 7 but for the second leads I'd give it a 9. Would be a 10 but you know he dies...

Title The King 2 Hearts Spoiler
my typical question: how's the romance in this? hahahhaa I'll probably watch regardless though XD
Main romance: I didn't like ha ji won...she seemed too easy. After all the crap she goes through, when the main guy proposes she's all like "ok!" I just didn't like how easily she forgave him for his awful treatment towards her. Shi kyung and jae shin on the other hand WERE AMAZING!!!! Like I seriously loved them!! Their love story is still my favorite. They were an amazing couple and I loved how they supported each other and how we was always there for her. I love how she lights him up and he grounds her more. Such a beautiful love story, and honestly my favorite.

Title The King 2 Hearts Spoiler
This seems interesting but I was told that it has a REAL jerk of a male lead, who apparently even tries to/manages…
It's been a while...but if I remember correctly she had been framed as a traitor of the country. Not that that excuses him in anyway. It's pretty soon after that he changes and becomes a real man. But the real reason I watched this show was for shi kyung and jae shin. I loved them so much, and if anything watch it for them. There love story is so so sweet. And to this day they're still my favorite couple of all time.

Looking at the comments, i can already tell that my opinions on the drama wont be agreed with much... but im gonna…
I gave all those reasons because someone said I was just complaining and not even bothering to justify myself. So those are my justifications, to show that I actually think about it and don't rattle off popular opinions. I genuinely would like you to explain your opinion, and address the things that I brought up. And lol to flag down comments that disagree with someone's opinion is childish honestly, it's a kdrama not worth getting into an actual fight over. I would like to hear what you have to say, though I can't promise I'll agree with you. Just like I'm sure you don't agree with me. It's interesting to hear different perspectives though.

Looking at the comments, i can already tell that my opinions on the drama wont be agreed with much... but im gonna…
lol, I didn't want to make the comment too long so i didn't list off every reason. But here are the main reasons why I think the characters are stupid, I do have a reason for thinking this and am not just rattling off the popular opinion.
1. Taeho wants a raft to escape, the others are gonna use it to save bonghee and sohee. So what does he do? He pops the raft he needs. When Yeol fixes it, instead of waiting for him to fix it he gets in a fight with him and uses the air pump to hit him. *face palm*
2. When they find out that tae ho is truly a killer, they tie him up (smart) but then nobody keeps watch. In fact it's day time when he escapes and they don't realize he's gone till nightfall. one of you mentioned that they can't be keeping tabs on tae ho all the time. Um...when he's a known killer you NEED to keep tabs on him all the time.
3. Taeho doesn't want anybody to find out about what happened with jaehyun, since he killed him. So what does he do? He goes to kill the reporter. Either way they're gonna know you're a killer!!! Like seriously..if you're gonna kill him don't make it so obvious that you killed him...
4. How did the CEO survive after his car got smushed...literally blood splattered everywhere...nobody would survive that
5. The other CEO literally got kidnapped and nobody questions his statement...? In their defense they didn't know he was kidnapped but he did go "missing" and came back looking all scared. Like clearly something's up.
6. According to bonghee to "tire tae ho out" they're gonna pick mushrooms...leaving two people alone and unattended, easy targets for taeho. Wouldn't it be better to make sure no one is alone and unattended for long periods of time when there's someone as unstable as tae ho on the loose? And aren't you just distracting yourselves and giving him the perfect oppurtunity to run off, by doing this anyway??
7. Also the characterizations are inconsistent sometimes. This really bothered me, but joonho tells his friend to go die, his friend commmits suicide and the whole group never lets him live it down and ultimately excludes him. The guy with pigtails is supposedly told by sohee that she's gonna kill herself and he lets her walk off, and she dies. And what do they do?? They tell him "come eat with us! How about you get out of bed today." and make sure he's still a part of the group. Like what the heck..? Y'all lose your minds over joonho, but don't bat an eye when pigtails guy basically does the same thing??

Overall I think the drama is highly unrealistic, the characters incredibly stupid, and some of the characterizations are inconsistent. Also I do love suspense dramas and I love to be able to think and analyze a complex drama. I absolutely loved signal and god's gift. I actually don't like overly fluffy dramas as i find them a waste of time. I just think that the writing is pretty bad in this one and I do have reasons for thinking that. If you can explain some of reasonings, feel free, because I do want to continue this drama for joonho, but it would be nice if I didn't feel like throttling the screen the whole time.

Title Missing 9 Spoiler
Looking at the comments, i can already tell that my opinions on the drama wont be agreed with much... but im gonna…
I agree it's nice to have a kdrama that isn't predictable. BUT it should somewhat logically be unpredictable. As in the characters stay true to their character and once all the details are released it makes sense. I find in this drama it's "unpredictable" because the characters are SO STUPID. And no one would think anybody could be that stupid. Like leaving a known killer alone and unattended. As for coincidences I agree all kdramas rely heavily on coincidences. But that's not the problem here. The problem here is to further move the plot the drama removes the brains from the characters (and this happens a lot not just once in a while) or something highly unrealistic (even for kdramas) happens. As for the premise that everybody lives I agree they need a plot...so everyone needs to be somewhat well off. Some
people complain that they're blaming joon ho again (this would be the plot going around in circles I assume because he's ALWAYS the scapegoat) but I find this realistic and smart of Tae ho, because the public already hates him and he's supposedly dead or at least missing, so it's not like he can defend himself. The only plot circle that's annoying that I see is that the characters deal with Tae ho in such a stupid way. And also I like being tense and frustrated but not due to characters stupidity. Also I'd like to say I agree with you on that it's actually very realistic how joonho deals with Tae hos death, while it's easy for outsiders to say "it's not your fault" when you're in the situation it's a lot harder. So I found is reaction while frustrating realistic. Overall this drama isn't awful it's just the characters act very stupidly, which is a shame because it could be an amazing drama.

ive been putting this off for soooo long because from the few clips ive seen it seems kinda cheesy and cliche??…
It's not cliche at all. Joon hyeong is definitely a different type of male lead. And Shi Oh is a different type of second female lead. The drama is pretty realistic, which is saying a lot since it's a kdrama. It is a bit cheesy though, especially when they start dating. But overall it's a cute drama and is definitely different from your typical drama.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, this drama is fluffy and fun, but also becomes incredibly poignant. The pain…
Just finished episode 15. And I hate his mom so much. His reaction to his mother just really hit in the feels, especially since I have a friend with a similar situation. But I liked how he gave the hankerchief back and said "thanks for giving birth to me" as in that's all she is to him. Someone that gave birth to him, and that's it. She didn't emotionally help him, actually she emotionally scarred him if we're being real. And I liked how he came to further realize how important his aunt, uncle, and hyung are to him. Anyway, it was wrapped up really nicely and while I wish they spent a little more time on it, but at least they stayed true to his character. He doesn't seem someone that dwells on something too long.

So I'm really confused. Just finished episode 8, and Bokjoo is talking about how she told the doctor, Jaeyi,…
Wow that makes me mad. I really love joon hyeong, but I don't like bok joo as much. She just seems so self centered and childish to me sometimes. I mean he's really good to her, especially after the rice sack incident, but she seems to take advantage of him. I guess I don't like how she treats him. She'll blame him for stuff that isn't his fault, she won't tell him why she's mad, she won't admit to anyone that they're dating, when she's mad she won't ask his side and will just assume the worst, I could go on, but I don't know. While I don't hate her character I don't love her either. She just seems really oblivious to other people's emotions and I can't tell if she's really that selfish or truly doesn't know. I guess I keep waiting for her to mature but she never does. On ep 12 and hopefully she gets better
