Just wondering if people in the comments would also call the female character stupid for not calling nearby help…
Right. People give her so much hate, but don’t mention the fact that ML RAN INTO A MINEFIELD. S’ok I still love him, but I’m real life that would not have turned out haha. People are too harsh on female leads...

Episode 11 was so emotional! This whole time Hyun Soo thought that if his wife knew the truth she would leave him. He worked so hard to be the person she wanted. It must’ve felt so relieving to know that she loved him regardless of his past, and that he could be himself—ugly past and all—and still receive her light and love. His character has really come along and I’ve loved discovering who the real Hyun Soo is right along with Ji Won!

We don't know yet if nobody is not going to jail.I'm sure if Do Hae Su ended up alive, she may end up in jail,…
Wonderfully said! I 100% agree! It’s really clear in episode 9 (I have yet to see episode 10), that he has tried to live a normal life with the resources he has been given. I think he really does want to be normal and give his wife the life she deserves. He loves her but doesn’t know how to describe it. I wouldn’t say he manipulated her, but more did the best with what he could, yet it still didn’t turn out then way he wanted. Sometimes people try their best and end up making things worse, it doesn’t mean they’re evil, but have more to learn.

I love how patient and loving Ji Won. She doesn't push DHS for answers. She just let's him know that she'll be…
I haven’t seen the latest episode...but when she was saying that she was being seriously passive aggressive....she does love him but she might murder him with passive aggressiveness at this point lol

I mean this show is about a guy that’s been lying to his wife for years. He hasn’t killed anyone, but he does torture and make them think that he’ll kill them. This show is full of toxic relationships, but I’m not in it for the romance more for the cat and mouse chase and seeing how this will play out in the end.

I could’ve misunderstood. I thought it said he raped them. It said he watched the tape over and over and that made me think he raped them tbh....Didn’t do Hyun Soo say that he watched his crimes over and over? That led me to think that he was a rapist, at least in the past, since I’ve heard rapists do that.

I hate that the show ships Moo Jin and Hae Soo...he literally raped girls and made tapes of it...why would we ship him with anybody?? I really hope he gets revealed and goes to jail in the end...

As the drama goes on, the more I'm gearing towards a tragic ending. It will not be a happily-ever-after ending,…
Yeah I agree. Their dating life is messed up. When she said “it’s obvious you like me” I was like what do you mean? At what point has he acted like he likes you? If I was a bystander I would think he was neutral and maybe even hated her. Her whole relationship with him has been “I want him no matter what” and she deludes herself until she gets what she wants.

I’m binge watching it currently. I HATE joseon dramas, but I loved this one! I have one episode left and so…
Lol. Other people can like them, I just hate them. I hate them because everyone is evil except the two leads. Usually the two leads are tragically unable to be together until the last moment. The king is ultra evil and always offs the main characters whole family. Any side character that is good gets killed off which just fuels the angst of the ML or FL. I just feel like the same plot is used over and over again. I just get bored of them after a while. Others can like them and it’s fine, but I personally don’t like joseon dramas. Other historical pieces are fine tho (like historical movies or books)

Title The Tale of Nokdu Spoiler
I still hoped he will end up as the king .. it does not make any sense why the other guy is still with the king…
Nokdu didn’t have enough political power to be king. He would’ve been assassinated in a flash. He didn’t have enough support in the court to maintain loyalty. To be king he would’ve had to kill Yeol Mu’s followers and become brutal to protect his seat, he didn’t want to become someone like that. It’s sad because he would have been a better king, but this is the most realistic ending imo

I haven't reached that part yet (and I don't think I would), but yeah I can already gauge the quality of this…
Lol, that's what i was thinking! Text him! But maybe she was worried he wouldn't answer the text. If he wasn't answering call, he probably wouldn't text. The female lead made some unwise choices, but I liked that she actually had a story. Sometimes I feel like female leads in crime dramas are just candy and support systems for the ever so tragic male lead. I liked here that they both had their own tragedies that they were coping with. I was actually more invested in her story than his story, was a bit sad that she had to die like that!

Title It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
PS. I understand her character description says she has a personality disorder. My undergrad and masters are in…
Lol! I'm so glad I saw this comment, we can be baffled together lolz. Well what kills me is that some people are like "only the male lead would have the potential of understanding her." And to a certain extent that's true. He works in mental health and he's been taking care of his brother for as long as he can remember. If he was in a healthy state of mind, I think he would be the only one that would be able to understand her. But he's not. I mean this boy is just as problematic as she is but in a different way. I'm only halfway through episode 6, but this boy straight almost left his brother to die in the pond. He was so sick of being looked over by his mother, that he almost left his brother to die. Then he realized how sadistic that was, and went to save him. It's my personal belief (though I haven't finished the episode so I could be wrong), that he felt so bad about his own feelings, that he devoted his life to putting on a "smile" for his brother and taking care of him. As if to convince himself and everyone else that he isn't as dark as that moment showed. That he genuinely cares. He only needs his family's happiness to be happy. It's like he's been punishing himself ever since for his moment of weakness. Obviously he is super broken himself. He needs someone to rip open his wounds that he's been hiding (which the female does), but he also needs some space (which the female lead doesn't provide). He needs to learn how to healthily take care of people. Now it seems like he's slowly learning this, but I still don't like the female's methods. She scares me in how she goes from "nice" to emotionally manipulative the next moment. I'm not going to lie, she really does remind me on an emotional level of the abuse stories I've been reading. Physical and sexual abuse always pairs with emotional abuse. I mean she threatens him when he says he'll leave, stalks him when he says go, isolates him from his friends, acts possessive, uses his trauma against him to get him to stay, and directly goes against his wishes with everything--but specifically his brother. She also flirts with him, declares her love, and analyzes him. I really hope the female lead cleans up her act, and this doesn't turn into an emotionally abusive relationship. The thing about emotional abuse, and any abuse, is that they have their "good moments" and then they have their "bad moments" too, which can sometimes cloud the victims thoughts. She's obviously broken, so I don't blame her. I want her to be healed too! But she does worry me, and I wouldn't ship her with anyone until she's healed herself.

Lol you feel me!! I'm a social work major, and on the inside I'm like "nope" But I find the characters all highly intriguing in their own right. The main girl isn't evil but has antisocial personality disorder. I'm hoping that she'll "learn facial expressions" and "add value" to make it more healthy. One dramabeans person said that maybe she could learn to value something, and value what that person values. Still a bit dysfunctional, but more healthy. I'm curious to see where this relationship is heading, and if there's a happy ending for the FL. Sorta hard to change your behavior if you don't see the reason why. I also hope there's a happy ending for our ML and he doesn't always feel "tied down." That he can give care, but also feel genuinely happy himself.

I never was a fan of Kim Soo hyun, i never liked his acting , i watched a couple of his dramas, and nothing. Though…
TBH I’m not a huge fan of KSH either, but I really love him here! He has realistic acting and isn’t the too stiff. He communicates “suffering caregiver” extremely well. I feel like he has greatly improved. It’s an interesting show, I’d give it a shot!

Title It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
Can someone pls explain what's up witth all the hate towards juri?
lol I feel akid0u. I don't really hate her either, not that I love her. I would've been crushed too if my childhood bully had been hidden in the house and supposedly had sex with my longstanding crush. The biggest thing I find annoying about her is that she can't get a hint. Kang Tae obviously doesn't like her, yet she clearly still likes him. Sometimes people just need to move on, instead of torturing themselves further. If he didn't like you then, he's probs not gonna like you if he's living with you. She's slightly annoying, but I wouldn't say she's a bad person at all.
