leave Jin Han alone. TJC is a well-rounded entertainer and deserves the success, but no need to bring down another…
It’s called an opinion everyone has one. You cannot tell someone what they can and cannot say or feel about someone else. If you don’t like what someone has to say about another actor, it’s not your place to TRY and check them on voicing their thoughts…..this is NOT a place where you can control people’s voices or opinions, this is NOT a dictatorship. You need to stay in your lane.
I am liking the Chinese version of this drama, but her hair is driving me crazy. Why do they have her walking around with those 2 little braids pigtails. Why not have her hair down or even in a ponytail. She looks like Pippi Longstocking and it’s not cute.
I guess since there's no top actors, there's no fans giving it a 10 just because their crush is in it...
I completely agree with you in your thoughts about DOS. I tried several times to watch/finish that drama and the struggle was real; I just couldn’t do it. It’s such an awful drama, and I will never understand why it was so highly rated and loved by so many people.
They were long term partners and were already discussing marriage before she found out she was pregnant, as explained…
@PrettyCarEye I understood EXACTLY what you meant and I agree with all of it. And, you were right to not engage the foolishness that person was trying to bring you into.
is this heavily dubbed? it's so annoying so pls someone help let me know
That’s the issue I have with c-dramas I can’t stand the dubbing; it ca sometimes grate on my nerves . But, this drama is not like the others, if it’s dubbed I honestly couldn’t tell, so I would almost say that it wasn’t dubbed. It doesn’t happen often but there are times when they don’t dub. Give it a try you will love it; it’s just cute.
A lot of you commenting here don't even know how Japanese society works. Marriage is a cynical transaction to…
Ahhhh...you had me completely agreeing with you until you brought up the possibility that the 3rd baby might not be his. Your argument as a whole made perfect sense, but it was wholly unnecessary to mention their kid(s). Comments like that are what causes rumors to start floating around; now I’m not saying that this will happen, cause let’s be honest this is not/and will not be read by everyone in the free world, but it’s kind of tacky and very distasteful to say that. If that’s how things are in Japan more power to them...if they like it I love it; I just think you could have explained Japanese culture without that comment.
THANK YOU!!! I completely agree with you. The entire rant made zero sense and has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this particular drama...especially since it’s not even out yet (insert eye roll here).
NOOOOOOOO ?????????!?!? Why is the date now 2020, that can’t be right ...I just refuse to believe it????????. I (along with everyone else) have been waiting forever for this to come out????????♀️????.
I used to love the song “Say Something”, but now it’s starting to grate my nerves. Granted, I have to admit there are some cute parts in this show, but MY GOD they are playing the HELL outta that song. The hate watch continues, while holding out hope it will get better.
There are so many things wrong with this drama I can’t even begin to name them; I would be here all day if I tried. I was really excited to watch this version, thought it would be good...WRONG!! I just can NOT handle this supposed relationship that the female and male lead are trying (but not really trying) to have. Every time he tries with her she is not having it; like he will go around calling her his girlfriend and she like, NO. Ok, at this point I think he needs to move on from her. The push and pull is to tiring. I keep hoping that it will get better, because at this point I think I am just hate watching this now.
Peach blosspms is an exception not the rule I think we will be disappointed if we compare it to that
Ok... pump your brakes...THE ARTICLE IS COMPARING IT TO TMOPB. I was talking about my obsession with TMOPB and hopes that this will be just as wonderfully done, buuuut (there always has to be someone that does this) you took what was a fun / lighthearted conversation about the love of a show....NOT comparison of a show, how can I compare TMOPB to a show I’ve never seen????. We were fine, we did not need this Negative Nancy or Debbie Downer type of comment. Thanks, but no thanks. What I need you to do is THROUGHLY read the article, and move on.
If you are comparing this to TMOPB I hope it’s good....cause that’s some really big shoes to fill. I had been debating whether or not to watch this, but based on what you’re saying I’m going to give it a try. I had been looking for something along the lines of TMOPB, because I watch that drama over and over again every few weeks...what can I say, I love it from beginning to end; every time my 13yo daughter sees it on she looks at me in disbelief and says “REALLY MOMMY! You’re watching this AGAIN”, my reply “YEP, as long as it’s in Dramafever I’m going to keep watching it”...it never gets old. Hopefully, this one can break my TMOPB obsession.
I love this drama, and you’re so completely right it does have a good amount of everything, as well as, great chemistry between the leads as children and as adults. But, I have to disagree with at least one of the characters introduction / trait...part of it anyway: Gil Nak Won; after reading what you wrote it made me wonder if we are truly watching the same drama, or at least the same people in this drama. So you said:
- a woman who fights her demons
- a woman who is NOT afraid to open her mouth and defend herself or others
- a woman whose life motto is carpe diem
1. I don’t believe she fights her demons, because she is letting her fear win almost every time. To fight her demons it means that she is beating them, and not letting them beat her. She is CLEARLY losing that battle with the exception of the last episode (when Na Moo was hurt). She always just freezes and cowers...that is the complete opposite of fighting ANY type of demons. It’s caving to that fear and allowing it to be upfront, and present...with no fight or flight reflex in her; I mean who just cowers in the face of danger instead of trying to fight for their life, and I am only speaking of her as an adult not when she was a child. Please know that I am not speaking lightly on the effects of PTSD, but victim advocates will tell you that it’s about overcoming what happened to you, not succumbing to that fear, and letting it have power over you.
2. Can you really say that she has been defending anyone?? Cause, what I have seen is that she will disagree with her brother on how he feels about Na Woo, his mom, or sister, but that is where it ends. She does not stand up for them, not really, when he is rude, nasty, or even when he punched Na Woo. She will say something to the effect of “don’t be like that with them / him; or it’s not their fault, and don’t blame them”, her brother will come back and say what he thinks, and she shuts up about....she doesn’t even defend the situation by telling her brother it was all her not Na Won in some instances like when she came to his police graduation. I don’t look at that like defending at all; if someone is defending me I would want a stronger argument than that. I fought harder or defended my reasons for a change on a test grade when I was in college than she did. I mean COME ON ????????♀️.
3. Carpe Diem (Seize the Day), having watched all 18 episodes that have aired so far, does not really fit who she is in the drama at this point; unless she changes how she reacts to fear or her defense of others...including herself. It’s more like one day at a time (for like the last 12yrs), that is until something triggers that all consuming and paralyzing fear that overcomes her. Also all my reasoning in 1 apply for 3, as well.
But, despite all that, which probably seems like complete hate of a character, I do love the drama and all the actors. I went into this drama as a fan of both main leads...the male lead was so good in Go back Couple & My Mister; and the female lead was so good in Misty. I hope people do give this a chance....come for the drama and suspense, and stay for the hope that maybe love can conquer hate / fear.
