Maybe it's just me, but episodes 13 & 14 really were just “meh” and didn’t really move the story along or make an impact 😑😔. Here’s hoping for better episodes tomorrow 🤞🏽.
Sorry, for the late response, yeah I did like it. Some things were a little different, but it was really good; if it had been exactly like the original it may not have been as good. But, if you haven’t watched it yet, give it a look.

I agree. While I really do prefer XL, and would love for them to be the end goal, we all know that he is on his path and it’s not looking like he is giving that up 😔. So, Jing would be the only logical choice, but he is just so FUCKING WEAK, it’s HARD for me to stand behind him. I mean really who wants to be with a weak man, or just a weak person in general who can’t / won’t speak up for themselves. Honestly, we know XY doesn’t like to be lonely, but this is slim pickings, she would do better to just choose herself, but where’s the “romance” in that 🤷🏽♀️😒.

I have watched every single remake of this, some (Korean) were definitely better than others. I’m watching this now, I hope it does justice to the original, which I absolutely loved.

Wow, really!?? You must not watch anything that is based on historical facts, because no one in history is wholly good or bad. Yes, I have also read about things that she “may” have done and find them deplorable, but I say “may” because history is written by the winner not the loser. If you were the loser do you think the things written about you would be a shining testament to how amazing you were or would you be dragged all over the place for being the worst example of a terrible woman gone wrong, and the example of why women should not be in power. Ergo, I said all of that to say that when I read about historical figures, especially women who did things that were way outside the norm of societal standards, I remember that history was written by the winner.

Let’s be honest with these types of dramas romance is always an element that’s included in there, even if it doesn’t say it. Therefore, because of the lack of it, people can be disappointed about it. If you liked it, I love that journey for you, but there’s no need to be snarky because other people didn’t like it and/or take issue with what was lacking. It’s called an opinion, everyone has one, just like a**h***s ✌🏽.
