Just wanted to say thanks to whoever decided to keep the scenes of them cracking up, they made the jokes so much better Also, Shotaro Mamiya's piercing eyes omg
So Ra has main character energy. Of she was the lead in a show, she'd be the grumpy part of grumpy x sunshine. It's just because she's the side character that we can see her so objectively. It makes me wonder about other such leads I've seen.
Thinking of starting this: what's it like? Does it drag? I've never been able to complete a sageuk before because all the things I like about them change in the second half. What's the romance/comedy/plot ratio?
Thanks for bringing up this important point! I refuse to watch shooting stars because of that. Could you please…
Same, I refuse to watch shooting stars because of that too. Basically, she said that in Auschwitz, when people were given a glass of water, they drank half and washed their face with half. The word excrement was also used. Then she said she read it in a magazine. This was all part of a very superficial conversation. It was so unbelievably offensive, honestly. Who in their right mind would use it to make a point about grooming? Disgusting. I hate whoever wrote it.
I cringed when Bora asked Su-Hyeok to join them for a drink. Can she not navigate tough situations without alcohol? I thought initially they would address it somehow, but nothing seems to have happened.
Another thought I had while watching today's episode: Bora relies so heavily on her pretty privilege, and she'll probably never acknowledge it. I know her character is not supposed to be some down-to-earth person, but I feel like they've gone too far making her seem like anything's justified by her Feelingsβ’οΈ
