Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Saeon is at a level of down badism that he didn’t even need an apology from Heejoo he was so ready to forgive her and even asked her to teach him how to sign that you forgive a person 😭

Someone pointed out that Heejoo stayed quiet when she was getting strangled, when she was about to be attacked by a dog, and when she was pushed off the cliff, but could not resist calling out Saeon’s name when Saeon almost got hit by a car 😭

I mean that phone is the only one of the two that she has that survived the very big fall, so props to that phone…
He was definitely waiting for the call a little extra that night 😭😂

Hahaha yes I was just joking about her consistency/dedication in calling him

The fact that Saeon hates the way he became Heejoo’s second prison while trying to protect himself when he was just trying to free her 😭

Also, not sure what your comment and the supposed nepotism and special treatment Heejoo got has to do with my review? I’m not really trying to argue with you on a potential plot hole you are bothered by? If you don’t like the drama it’s your choice to continue watching or to drop it instead of commenting argumentative comments to reviews that genuinely enjoy the drama.

Not sure what the process is with that, but I was just answering what I know since you seemed to be hinting at the fact that Saeon was the reason why she got hired 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, I’m sure those doing the background checks (probably not the same people who judged the interviews?) wouldn’t air out her business like that. There is such thing as confidentiality, especially in the Blue House I’m sure, so I doubt they would’ve gossiped to everyone that she’s his wife. And everyone has a fair chance at applying for the position. I don’t think there was any criteria stating that Saeon’s wife is ineligible to apply? Also, let’s say it is nepotism as you say, but didn’t Heejoo prove herself worthy to be a sign language interpreter for the Blue House? She showed how well she can sign with Saeon’s speeches. Not sure why it’s so wrong for her to have gotten the position as you are implying?

You get job at blue house and nobody even knows if you are married or not And who you are married to And your…
He did say she didn’t get the job because of him and as we saw there were judges (not including him) deciding which interpreters to hire and he was only given the paper of the top 3. She stood out because of how well she knew him and her ability to predict what he was going to say and sign it quickly. Also, like you said no one knew that she was his wife so she wouldn’t have gotten special treatment from the judges just to please him.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Still can't make sense of this drama - yet oddly addicted to it cause of the mysteries. The romance is not romancing…
Hi I just wanted to add my two cents! So in episode 6 it’s revealed that Saeon was cold to Heejoo as to not get attached because he always knew he would have to let her go at some point despite having feelings for her already (not the best way to do it but yeah) and he acted like he didn’t care if she died because he thought that the kidnapper was lying since he knows (double checked with her mom) Heejoo is supposed to be with her mom for dinner that’s why when he came home he asked her why she’s having dinner again in episode 1 because her mom said they were gonna have dinner together already. Plus he’s known to be a cold and unwavering hostage negotiator (didn’t even give in to the demands of that terror group in the first episode even though they threatened everyone’s lives) so he had to act like he didn’t care to what he thought was a voice phishing scam not knowing his wife was really in danger. Also we can see later on that he’s literally SHAKING in anger when he finds out that the kidnapping is actually true so he actually does care if she dies especially with the ending of episode 6. Plus from the little bits we saw Heejoo genuinely adored him and the stuff he says to 406 defending her is probably softening her resolve.

The way Saeon pushed her off of him on the bed and then in the bus shouldered her to move her head is so funny to me 😂😂 LIKE SIR BE GENTLE!!

Ooh tbh I suspected Dojae too cause he seems kinda sus 😅 But it makes sense to hint into the false direction…
You know with k-dramas they always try and trick us ;)

Saeon not revealing to Heejoo that he knows she can speak and is 406 just goes to show how much he cares and understands her. He didn’t let his anger overcome him and he understands that she used being 406 as a shield as well as a weapon to get out of the marriage she thought he didn’t want. He also understands that he can’t force her to speak no matter how desperately he wants to hear her voice and that’s why he continues to pretend to not know she’s 406 so he can still speak to her. Such a green flag our Baek Saeon!!

He called her Hui Ju at first but then switched to 3rd person. I think he did this cause he feared that she could…
I second this because even when Ina said she knew that Heejoo could speak Heejoo still didn’t speak. It’s become a part of her to not speak when she’s not hiding behind a phone call and voice modulator

The panic in Baek Saeon’s voice when he said “Are you there! Answer me!” in episode 6 is so good 😭 Yoo Yeon Seok can truly act even over the phone!

Y’all stop blaming Dojae for pushing Heejoo!! I don’t think it’s him I think it’s the real 406! Dojae can be seen trying to control the mob (turned towards the mob and away from the cliffs edge and Heejoo). I think 406 blended in with the other hikers and pushed Heejoo when given the chance. He also has the same black clothing.

I feel like why we have a preview showing a sketch of the real 406 is because they saw him on the cctv of the trail (the one they said they would review) and he was the one to push Heejoo
