Did a container ship full of umbrellas overturn in the ocean near that island at some point? I can understand that bottles and buckets might wash up on the island beach, as they're the type of thing you might lose at the seaside, but SO many intact umbrellas? π
I just have a heavy feeling that Bo-Geol is Ki-Ho. I'M 100% SURE IT'S BO-GEOLHere are some big and small reasons…
#4 - Yes, Ki-Ho would definitely hate himself. He was trying to help his friend escape, and he accidentally caused her 15 years of hardship, living on an island alone. He has probably spent the past 15 years blaming himself for that.
tbh im surprised people have any doubt that woohak ISN'T kiho. tbh it makes the most sense that bo geol is kiho…
Have you ever watched What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? I'm getting a very similar vibe from the "brothers" here. One has lost his memory, but the other knows the truth (which is actually harder on himself) and is protecting both of them by trying to keep the memories lost.
So much fun! Definitely adding to my "recommend to everyone" list. The concept is fun, and the first couple of episodes made me laugh out loud several times.

All and all I this drama is good. But now we really start need to be focusing on certain aspects. I mean, we are…
If someone used one of the curses from the book on him, it won't still be there to read. Have you noticed that the last step. in every spell is to burn the page? None of the spells can be used twice and they are burned after use.
lol they have made this series dark, the original was light and funny and I really liked that one.
If you edited the kidnapping mystery parts of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon together to make a trailer, without adding any of the comedy bits, you would assume it was a dark drama. Let's wait and see when it's released. π
I would not be surprised if Na Yeon had cast some kind of obedience spell on Shin Yu to make him agree with whatever she wants, which would explain his passive acceptance of their "relationship" despite him obviously disliking her.
However, it's quite possible that he just didn't care, since he knew he was ill and likely to die young, and just agreed because it made his parents happy.
You'll notice that in episode 8, HJ has stopped saying "I don't like you". After the kiss she asked "have you broken up with NY?" and after the fake date she said "I don't want to steal someone else's boyfriend", but she has stopped outright denying that she likes him. If he broke up with NY at this point, she would give in and admit that she does.
I am so confused....Like isnt this kdrama supposed to be fantasy-rom-com? So now we are debunking the whole concept…
I agree. I don't think the spells haven't worked at all. I think they have all worked, but not necesarily in the way people expected them to. HJ thought she would suddenly look different after the "fair skin" spell, but since she already had what most people would call "fair skin" it was probably a silly spell to cast as a test. Tey needed an easily verifiable spell, like "turn a cat blue" or something. π Of the spells she has cast, the "cure disease" spell is the best one to check because the illness isn't an abstract thing like love or prettiness, and since HJ cast it, SY does seem better.
Really liking this drama but that damn sprig of hair dangling down Rowoonβs left temple drives me insane. Annoying!!
He's literally an anime character. That strand of hair is one stroke of a pen. π Have you noticed though that when he has his hair down in this drama, those are the scenes when he is more honest with himself, and more relaxed. The "perfect lawyer" image is just a facade.
But she is infatuated with the SML. The bickering she has with the ML shows that she is not indifferent to him…
I think he's going to explain the love spell to SML though, because he is feeling guilty about preventing FL from following her crush. I have a nasty feeling that either SML will see the love spell story as a weird excuse for ML to stalk her, or if he believes in it he will get quite annoyed about it. Either way, I can foresee him smugly putting every nice thing the ML does down to the spell, which will make SML start to seem less of a nice guy in FL's eyes. "Oh, you tripped over and SY helped you up? Must be because of the spell. I would have done that *without* magic!"
I knew SY was going to fall asleep right before the kiss, but I love his imagination. HJ was actually going to…
I agree that the spell and the Korean Odyssey bracelet have similarities. I think what I like with both dramas is that the ML is aware that he's under a love spell and is horribly irritated by it. It's much more fun than a love spell that the recipient is unaware of.
He told her he wants to break up but she said she needs time to process it and he gives her time. But she uses…
I think he only really accepted that proposal because he's feeling bad about his feelings for the FL and thinks he's stopping her from being with the man she likes. If the FL didn't exist, he would have rejected the proposal. Being an engaged man gives him a shield to hide behind, and a reason to tell himself that he can't be with the FL. He's both in serious denial *and* trying to be helpful to the FL.
For centuries, fairytales and stories about magic have contained the warning, "be careful what you wish for". Genies grant wishes that backfire. Spells have unintended consequences. This seems to be a modern fairytale. If FL had not cast the love spell, SML might have liked her eventually anyway. Now, she suspects that anyone who shows signs of liking her must have drunk some of the love potion and their "love" isn't real. The last spell went wrong because the dog interrupted and she wrote the character wrong. I wonder what went wrong with the disease curing spell, because I'm fairly sure none of the spells are going to work perfectly without any issues.
