I think he wants to die though, and he knows she has a conscience and would probably not really want to destroy the entire world in the end, so he's using this contract as a way to trick "fate" or whatever into letting him die. He'll try to charm her into falling for him so that he will be the one she loves most by the end, and he can finally die and escape having to see only destruction and pain every day. That may backfire, as he experiences happier emotions with her. Just my theory.

You really shouldn't skip them. They're so funny!

It's good. Not too ridiculous. The main characters remain pretty consistent throughout (you won't end up with 2nd lead syndrome), and they do communicate sensibly with each other. I think it's worth more than the current rating on here.
