The instagram photos from today are very encouraging. It seems that our wishes may be fulfilled, and the writer may use the amnesia storyline for. comic rather than tragic effect.
Perhaps this amnesia is a blessing after all. In ep 16, all the people calling DD the daughter/niece were making YG seriously doubt whether this relationship could really work. If he still feels the same about her in his "22-year-old" mindset - when he would see her as older than him - it may give him more confidence once he recovers. Also, if he thinks he's only 22, he's going to be horrified by that "old lady" SR suggesting he ever had a relationship with her! I had been dreading the amnesia storyline, but it's quite possible that it could be entertaining if written well.

Accidentally saw next week's preview. Looks like we're getting the amnesia storyline next. I REALLY hope this writer doesn't disappoint. *crosses fingers very hard*

Here's a radical thought. Amnesia plot doesn't even happen until episode 49, when all our couples are happily paired off , and is simply SR's attempt to get her son back, and nothing to do with breaking up DD and YG at all.

It said something about 22 years. I'm not sure if that means he forgets the last 22 years or forgets everything since he was 22. Either way, I think that may take him back beyond even knowing his wife...

That's an interesting point. They would all be utterly horrified. I think there's a high probability that they will happily accept Dan Dan as a stepmother, but they all dislike Sa Ra, so any hint that their dad might have had a relationship with her - especially when their beloved mother was alive - would devastate them. I don't think Jae Ni would believe it at all.

After the whole SJ running away episode and her promises to SJ then, it would seem like a huge betrayal to the kids if she left for America. She might think about taking up the offer, but if she actually left, I think it would be out of character.
spoiler for the upcoming plot as per the charachters description so don't read unless you know about it :) I think…
Yes, I had the same thought when Mrs Yeo Ju saw them. She's well meaning but loves gossip, so she'll put two and two together and make five. I have a nasty feeling that Sa Ra will try, "Se Jong is our illegitimate son - look, DNA proves he is biologically mine" when YG loses his memory, without thinking that it works both ways and doing a DNA test on SJ and YG will prove that he's not his son. I *really* hope they don't drag the amnesia/Sa Ra plotting part out too long, because the whole heart of this drama is the happiness of the two leads and the joy they're bringing to the viewers.
The writer has done so well so far that I'm getting nervous. Up to episode 14 we've had a lovely build up, great pacing, potential misunderstandings cleared up fast, and main leads who trust each other. I'm just terrified that, with 36 episodes to go, the writer will fall into the usual drama trap of a string of drawn-out misunderstandings. It would be very refreshing to see a long drama which manages to avoid those.
Interesting storyline. I like the male and female lead; however, I am not interested in the second couple with…
The only problem with Dan Dan going to America is that she would have to leave Se Jong, and she has made a promise this time that she will stay until he starts his next school. The kids would all feel completely betrayed if she left.
I'm trusting the writer to do something a bit unpredictable, so I hope she doesn't follow the Book of Clichés that so many Kdrama writers seem to own.
I would love it if he regains his memories fast, but doesn't immediately admit to it, so that he can see what SR is up to.
