Mo Yuan and Shao Wan's love affair started a long long time ago. Mo Yuan loves Shao Wan and Bai Qian resembles Shao Wan. I think he likes Bai Qian because of his love for Shao Wan.
Another theory is that the author originally wanted to write that Mo Yuan likes Bai Qian and thus dropped some subtle hints but when she decided to write a book about Mo Yuan and Shao Wan, Bai Qian became someone who resembles Shao Wan. We will have to wait for the fourth book to find out more because when Bai Qian's story started, Shao Wan was asleep/dead for a long time. I guess until we get an answer from the incomplete book, readers' views will be divided.

But well, the drama has to obey SARFT first. Not much interaction between the two of them. From now on, it will be Bai Qian and Ye Hua's story.
The drama may not make it clear, but Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen are a couple as well. That's why Bai Zhen is always staying at Zhe Yan's place.
Qing Cang's story is more interesting too. When Qing Cang kidnapped Ling Yu and Si Yin, he took a liking to Ling Yu and wanted to marry him. When he was sealed in the bell, he missed Ling Yu. Bai Qian did not know that he would break out of the bell, she was just passing by and saw that Qing Cang was breaking out, that was why she sealed him in again. This is different from the drama. The reason is very romantic, that day was the 150000th birthday of Ling Yu. When Bai Qian confined him in, Qing Cang kept shouting Ling Yu's name. He wanted to wish him happy birthday in person. He wanted to ask Ling Yu whether he still remembers him.
Unlike in the drama, Ling Yu didn't die. He stayed behind and took care of Kunlun Xu when everyone left.

Sorry, I should rephrase it. He cheated on her with Xuan Nv in the book as well. Xuan Nv looked like Si Yin and is a female so he cheated on her with Xuan Nv as he thought Si Yin is a male. But he still loves her even though he thought she is a male. When Xuan Nv stole the body of Mo Yuan, Bai Qian went to get his body back, it was then that he realized that she is a female. It follows the novel quite closely except for the BL stories(SARFT regulations) and some minor details. In the book, Li Jing did not know that Si Yin is female, he cheated on her because he thought she was male and they will not have a future together. Xuan Nv looks like Si Yin, thus he married her but the one he truely loves is Si Yin. Qing Cang loves Ling Yu and wanted to marry him but Mo Yuan took Ling Yu and Si Yin back to Kunlun Xu. This incident was what caused the Ghost clan rebellion. Ye Hua's spirit was in a golden egg not a golden lotus. Si Yin's sorrowful cries after the demise of Mo Yuan woke Ye Hua's soul. This was why Ye Hua was drawn to Bai Qian. Ye Hua's mother accidentally ate the golden egg and thus gave birth to Ye Hua.
The sequence of events is also different from the book. The book start off with Bai Qian as her mortal form Susu. Thus the 'betrayal' of Ye Hua was more impactful. The events at Kunlun Xu was a flashback in the book. I guess the drama start the story chronologically so as not to confuse the viewers.
Oh btw, for people confused, Ye Hua and Mo Yuan are not the same person. They are twins.
Have only watch till episode 10 for now, there should be more differences. Read the novel a few years ago, my memories are hazy.

Kissasian just take the subtitles from legal sites like Dramafever or Viki. If Dramafever or Viki does not license the drama, high chance it will not be subtitled at all. Your best hope for the drama to be subtitled is to send requests to Dramafever or Viki.

I requested the change. Even if you are using the 'official title' by Dramafever, it should be "Ten Miles of Peach Blossom" and not "Ten Great III of Peach Blossom". Does "Ten Great III of Peach Blossom" make more sense to you?

Ambiguous ending. If you are in the Xiaofan-Biyao's camp, just imagine that she woke up, if you are in the Xiaofan-Xueqi's camp, she didn't. This drama pissed off lots of Zhu Xian book readers. The storyline changed a lot. Biyao never woke up in the books. Xiaofan married Xueqi and have a son together.
