Ok, I'm gonna call it. Dr Slow Mo is definitely the cause of all of Tharn's love ones dying right?? I think in past lives he always had some obsession with Tharn but he always loved Phaya, or even other people, and Doc kept getting jealous and murdering them. He probably thinks if he's the only one in Tharn's life that he'll choose him in the end. The only reason Yai is still in his life is because how ridiculously, maddeningly in love with his wife.
Holy hell can you imagine how the next episode is gonna mess with Tharn?! Here he keeps saying he can't love someone because they'll get serious hurt (ie, his parens, his last relationship, etc) and then the next freaking episode Phaya drowns AGAIN!!
True, the tonal shifts in each episode has taken some getting used to. I think it's because they are cramming so many different plot lines in this show that it doesn't necessarily flow that naturally. However, they are doing fine with what they have so far.
I kinda of hate how quickly Charlie is forgiven. I know they are supposed to be in love in all that but he did a pretty terrible thing without Babe's consent. If people are not getting this then I want to suggest another (don't know if this work) situation:
Imagine a rich person(Babe) and they met someone(Charlie) they fell in love with them. Over the course of months said person gained their trust, integrated with their friends and reap of the benefits of high society life and money(After stealing Babe's powers he's gotten better at driving even after being only a newbie). Turns out it was because every time they met that person was stealing large amounts of his money(powers) and using it themselves. Then when they are find out they said it was only because they loved them and that they did this to them for their own good because having all that money will cause the rich person(Babe) nothing but pain and made the decision for them to take it off their hands. How is that any different than a con man?
I guess they had to tweak some things for the tv show but in the book he was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…
Yeah, I know. Hell, even in the novel this decision made things so much worse for a bunch of people. Charlie serious went about this problem all wrong.
Huh? Why shouldn't he forgive him when everyone Charlie did was trying to protect him?
Sure. In the novel Babe hated everything Charlie did in the name of "saving" him. I think for weeks, or maybe even a couple months, Babe wanted nothing to do with Charlie and pretty much alternated between crying every day or try to go back to his temp lovers situation he had before Charlie came along. (Couldn't go through with it though). But honestly with all Charlie did, how they handle it in this series was kind of a slap in the face and greatly disappointing.
It does not really what happen on the book. I think they messed it up. One major scene got deleted and make the…
Right, I think the book handled it way better than what happened in the show. Sure Babe slowly starts to forgive Charlie but I like the fact that it was over WEEKS of him dealing with his feeling of betrayal and hurt. I hate that it was so instantly forgiven so I wonder how they are gonna roll with this in later episodes.
Huh? Why shouldn't he forgive him when everyone Charlie did was trying to protect him?
Because he made life-altering decisions for him, took his power without his consent, then pretty much used emotional blackmail (saying he has to die to return his power) to justify it all. In the novel, how this was handled went down differently.
To think I waited an entire week for it to be another imagination. This series is really good but they are pissing…
I knew it wasn't gonna be real simply because I thought it was too early. Also how the scene came about. I thought it was randomly placed; that the scene became romantic all of a sudden. My biggest peeve about the whole things is that I liked the way the scene was framed in the teasers but none of those shots were used. I think I'm just a little disappointed with the overall moment. Still loving the show with it's blend of police, mythology, and their romance so definitely in it for the long haul.
Ok, this has only dropped a few days ago and I've already rewatched the first episode 4 times. I think I might have a problem. I'm loving the story so far. It wasn't perfect, and had some things it could have improved on, but I'm highly anticipating the coming episodes.
What the heck was up with that kick! Yeah, the quality is definitely less compared to their work on To Sir. On another note, Charn might legit be a psychopath. Don't know how they get to a point of falling in love but at this point I really don't want them to lol. I'll get it the 4 ep test and see where this ends up on my "do I continue to watch" list.
Can I know your reason? Why sad ending?I don't like sad endingðŸ˜
I expected a sad ending, but I think I'm also fine with the one we got. One thing I was definitely certain of was Jia and Li's ending because they were the start of it all. Karma and all that. I wish Jan got a little more coming to her because of all the stuff she did, but I get why she did it too.
Can we give a big shoutout to Mat for being the best spy though! Literally every single thing everyone else did was instantly found out as it was happening or seconds later. Though she wasn't the mastermind, she knew the assignment, correctly played the game, and was only found out because the family was told only when they were going to be of use to her and Xiao Tong. Bravo, woman, bravo.
This was another good ending for a BL series. The series wasn't perfect but its been better than a lot. Sometimes I don't need a serious, super realistic storyline but enough fluff and romance to get me by. One thing I will say though...Sig cracks me up!
PS. Rain and Sky must have some serious thin underwear with the amount of times they have sex with them still on lol.
(HINT: If they shouldn't be noticeable maybe bright blue its the best color to go with 🤣)
