Of course, I have. I read serial novels as a hobby. But there is a serious difference between slow burn and intentional baiting. For so many trailers making their relationship the main theme, they are not focused on enough. When a storyline is fleshed out and consistent, I absolutely love the storytelling no matter the genre. Besides, we have multiple plot lines going through this show but all of those are addressed multiple times in each episode, the boys are not. Maybe it'll pick up as I've said it is 28 episodes and it's only been 6.
I'm starting to think this show is clickbait for the BL aspects. I mean I hope it has a really great plot but the trailers I've seen were focused on the guys. They sprinkle in a few seconds of them together every episode to keep their viewership numbers up because of the BL crowd, but if that happens across 28 episodes...
Yup, that NC scene was better than any I've seen in a BL or any other series for that matter. As I realize there…
The level of intensity we get in these NC scene has been raising over the last few years. Sometimes it was just a "suggestion" that a NC happened or it shows maybe two frames of people kissing in bed with a music overlay and that's it. This episode's was another great step between sensual and sexual, the only thing that broke the spell a bit is the fact that they were supposed to already be having "fun times" while riding but the camera panned down too far and we see that Boss with his boxers on lol.
See if we are going to debate about holding characters accountable for consent, or developing Stockholm let's…
No doubt. I agree. It's like what Pete said. There is really no good/evil/heroes/villians, just the decision people make in life. People who have done bad things in life still deserve love but they should still be judged on the actions they take on other people. In this show they have their own way of taking care of things but we can't ignore all the stuff they do just because people want to see two people hook up/get together. Similar situations that happen in real life would be viewed very differently.
Wow I have no words. Sad that was the only scene we really got between Pete and Vegas but it was something. But, we're once again on the "consent" for me. We knew that Kinn and Porsche was attracted to each other in the beginning but their first time wasn't completely consensual, Porsche was roofied. Now we have Pete and Vegas. Everyone knows about kidnappers that take people for a long time and after a while those people experiences what we know as Stockholm syndrome. There could be a little going on here with those two, especially as these two don't really get close at all until the final 4 ep of the season.
Thoughts? (Not attacks, I'm getting tired of constantly being attacked for trying to have a deeper conversation on here)
They were all LITERALLY in a hospital and he's obviously isn't the only doctor there, why didn't a single doctor or nurse come to immediately help him???
Baby go watch the pure version u are not fit for uncut glory
I'm just stating the fact that even though I expected more mature scenes and content in this show it doesn't have to be thrown in every episode just to keep people watching. Just the fact that they are making this show and only halfway through I can already tell this is on a new level for Thai BL, doesn't mean gratuitous sex scenes are necessarily needed. Plot is also important, and if you only want "uncut glory" maybe you should just stick to porn.
Another solid episode, but does anyone else think the ending scene was not really needed? I know they are still confirming their feelings but I felt the last scene was a little gratuitous and could have ended with Kinn apologizing. One more thing we've learned though: Porsche definitely gets off on the power he has over Kinn 😂
Damn it, I'm bawling. I know some people would think it's hot but like, it wasn't consensual one bit in this one
Book version of this was way worse, way more bordering on non-con. They've tamed it down a lot. The way I see it, it's kinda like how some people drink and it lowers their inhibitions. They both like each other as people are are oddly attracted to one another, but there will be that initial ick factor of the fact he was drugged a little.
People are confused about why they kissed but once you stop looking at this from a romantic drama pov, it's a…
Yes, I literally had to explain the same thing. It's like sometimes on first dates in a lot of romantic dramas there's a kiss at the end of it. Its doesn't mean love, just attraction. At first I was the same, already ep 3 out of 14 and they already kisses but I think it's still ok.
I have to completely disagree with the people who saying we are only watching kp because the cast is hot .well…
Yes, I've always like the buildout to relationships whether its romantic or not between characters. That is what I look for in a show. Sure, having people who look good in a show can catch your interest but everything else matters too! Just in episode three, for example, I know everyone is talking about them finally kissing, but my favorite part was the honest-to-god conversation they had right before it. Which made everything that came after so much more meaningful.
Also sometimes, young and beautiful is not even what I want to watch at times. One of my new favorite couples is Stede and Blackbeard in Our Flag Means Death. Like you said suspense, excitement, etc is what keeps me coming back.
