I'll still call it a happy ending if Zi Ang is dying slowly but they get married and there is no ending death scene.

Then I can envision that they found a miracle cure and ran away together leaving Huai Yi as emperor and they lived until old age as happy husbands in their cottage, THE END.

Even Shen Song could tell he was faltering. That's why Shu He said at the end he couldn't tell if he was lying to Zi Ang or lying to himself.

Is Gu Yuan Shuan gonna get any blame? or maybe they didn't have enough episodes to fit in him getting his comeuppance?

Even if Zi Ang hadn't been in the South the CP still would have rebelled, Gu Yuan Shuan had the CP paranoid and against his father and Shu He long before Zi Ang appeared.

Also from the sounds of it in the novel the South was in shambles and Shu He was going to be murdered by his own people if Zi Ang hadn't taken over? Is that true?

I'm stressed but 2 Episodes left and I want to see a happy wedding! They said it was happy! They said a happy ending! If it's not I will live like the people below in delulu land.

my first watch feels like the time just passes by so quick and then my re-watching takes a few hours going over everything again xD

Yeah the first and second can be a little confusing but you get the gist of what's going on from 3-5. I think that's why most people keep saying they didn't get into it till then. If it's not for you that is also fine, but the romance scenes are amazing and the dialogue is just beautiful <3 Thanks for supporting it anyway :)

Comes down to your own taste really. I am absolutely in love with all of it. I was hooked from ep 1 others are from episodes 3 - 6. (Episode 1 was a bit confusing though)

My opinion - The story is good enough. The dialogue and romance scenes are beautiful. The actors have great chemistry. The acting is great all-around. Give it a go and see if you like it.

Do you know if we see much more of Shen Song and Huo Ying?

Zi Ang made him an accomplice to betray his own country? or he believes Zi Ang wants to kill him? Or he believes Zi Ang was using him?

I'm guessing he believed everything the CP said? They didn't exactly get a chance to talk about it.... I am sad.

I would have to say K2L for me - The story, the romance and the maturity are all to my taste. Also love the outfits and long hair <3
