this is the worst kind of ending. I hate those! They were so popular a decade ago in kdramaland were in the last Ep one of the main characters (most often the guy) went away for years to 'better themselves' and come back as the person the other one 'deserves'. Instead of staying together and work on their issues as a team. I am so glad that this stupid kind of Ending is gone from dramaland.

Everything was so wonderfully written, the conflict and how it build up, you could understand everyone even if they behaved horribly but it was plausable! Then everyone worked through their issued and grew up (beside the mom, ok) and now they dump this on us?! Either they cut the anaconda or they give us another 5Eps were they actually move past the whole Anaconda shit and work on their issues and finally become a proper couple. urg

Actually, now that I think of it more (thx comment section), it makes sense to me why the mother is this way. Imagine treaing someone badly for no reason at all, slapping the person, plotting against her, trashing the place where she lives, etc
How would you feel if it turns out you were the asshole the whole time and not the person you have harmed? You thought you are doing the RIGHT THING the whole time and then it turns out you are the biggest mofo ever! You would feel so horrible, it would be hard to look in the mirror.
I think cognitive dissonance is kicking in here. She wouldn't be able to have her as her daughter in law and live with her and face the horrible things she has done to her. Some ppl are just mentally not strong enough to see their own fault and better. ML and FL done that and it took them a lot of time to accept and heal but the mom? She just does not have the integrity

I feel like she is too dense and irrational anyway, it wouldnt have helped. She only thinks of herself and her sons 'well being' while being confused on what her son actually needs. Hating someone all your life is not healthy. She should be happy (like his father) that they made up and moved past this. There is no threat to her son anymore. They are not gonna fight, he is not gonna drive drunk, etc etc ... she just never thinks, so stupid (or so stupidly written??)

It surely was before EP9! I am considering EP7 or EP8. When he was looking at the secret pictures that were taking from her, I already felt a shift in his gaze or how concerned he was for her when she was about to puke in his car after taking her for a spin. It felt like more than just concern for the cars carpet haha
BTW DID HE REALLY DRIVE HIMSELF?! DAMN! I've seen his driving skills in 'My Husband in Law', too and he good! It's mad! I think FL didn't even have to act scared XD Same on all other diving vihacles, he drove a lot of them, recklessly! amazing skills

I think so, too. He probably stopped having feelings for her during the whole time skip in the beginning. (but I skipped a lot during those Eps so I am not 100% sure, just assuming)
