Did he find her thanks to Woo Ri's loose lips being disconnected from his brain? If so, what are the odds we have…
Thanks, I knew that he had overheard Woo Ri on the phone (saw the preview clip), but did not know exactly what he heard as I have not seen the scene yet. I am hoping that my speculative sequence of events does not happen. But, will Soo Ji get angry at Woo Ri for being so nonchalant and careless?
HS found her and now he's probably going to be showing up at her place all the time.
Did he find her thanks to Woo Ri's loose lips being disconnected from his brain?
If so, what are the odds we have him publicly snidely thanking Woo Ri for helping him find her. Then, there is a sequence of episodes where Soo Ji is angry with Woo Ri; vents and ignores him; and "re-starts" things with Hyun Sung? And to that, we will have Na Young losing to Soo Ji again, with all that will entail.
I think that's the one SY suggested to SY since she dont have money anymore she suggested to work there (restaurant)…
I could be wrong but I think Hyun Sung finds out that Woo Ri knows where Soo Ji is, but Hyun Sung may not know exactly where she is. Not that it would be difficult to find out.
When he does find out, you can bet that he heads straight to the Courtyard House to interject himself back into her life. Will this be the time when Soo Ji discovers what family is about because we can be sure that the Courtyard family will protect her?
my thought exactly on WR! what bothers me is what will happen when HS found SJ knowing how he is so obsessed and…
To be honest, from the start, I have believed that there will be some major conflict between Woo Ri and Hyun Sung, due to the latter's obsession with Soo Ji. My feeling is that this will provide the opening for the half-sibling relationship to be discovered, plus for us to get more details of the scandal within the Han family and the details of Hyun Sung's time in the U.S.
Another thing I want to point out, does SJ not know her mom’s real name? Most six years old kids know their…
While I agree that it is weird, there are a couple of things that might explain this. (1) Perhaps Seon Young and/or Oh Seon Young are pretty common names in Korea. And thus Soo Ji does not make the connection. Did she know her mother's full name or just the given names? [I was in a meeting of 9 people, 3 of whom were called Kevin!] (2) We know that Soo Ji was told that her mother abandoned her, but we do not know what was said beyond that. Was there a constant "do not talk about your mother or even mention her name"? If so, did she subconsciously "forget" her mother's name?
We should remember that Seon Young was told the family had moved abroad. And they had removed Soo Ji from her family registry. Jang Yun Ja is a nasty piece of work, as well as being an unmitigated money grabber. So, who knows what was said and done in order to make Soo Ji part of the "family". If nothing else, you can guarantee that the mildest was "Your mother abandoned you, and I took you in; I am your mother".
Or, given that this is a drama, this is just a artistic mechanism to make the reunion all th more poignant: They have been so close for so long, but did not recognise each other.
I do not think that we have been told how Soo Ji became so famous and popular, but I suspect that it was not because…
Thank you, I had forgotten about that. Does this open up the possibility that there will be discussion of her suffering from "imposter syndrome"? That is, despite outwardly appearing to be well adjusted, successful, and competent, she feels she does not deserve the success and fame.
In this case, I think the issue is that Hyun Sung is obsessively focused on Soo Ji and this tunnel vision is obscuring…
Valid points, and I agree that carrying on when Na Young is making him uncomfortable is beyond strange. But, as you said, the story has to be told and the drama must proceed.
Sometimes i really wonder what suji profession is?. She is really not that good at reading people body languages.…
I do not think that we have been told how Soo Ji became so famous and popular, but I suspect that it was not because she is the best psychiatrist in Korea. No doubt she is good, but did her fame come from the hospital making her their public "face"? This is some of what is written above: "a celebrity who is considered the most sought-after for variety shows. ... she is a hot shot who has never slept more than three hours a day due to tight schedules such as broadcasts, book concerts, and fan signing events."
That being said, we are seeing her in an extremely vulnerable state, so it is not unreasonable to accept that her judgement is well below what it would be normally.
Preview of episode 43 shows HS having a meal in NY's House. How could HS be so stupid and careless and arrogant?…
In this case, I think the issue is that Hyun Sung is obsessively focused on Soo Ji and this tunnel vision is obscuring all other things. Rhetorically: Why should he be suspicious of another woman when he is going to marry Soo Ji, no matter what?
Well, SJ has now found out there is no other rooms for $300 without a deposit and no one is going to look for…
Plus, the family specifically told the agent to contact her about the room. Hopefully, this will start her to take down her defensive walls and learn to trust.
I think that the arguing is merely a mechanism to make the mother/daughter reunion much more dramatic.Drunk or…
I finally watched eps 40 and 41. While I agree that Soo Ji should not have reacted the way she did, I think that whole scene was to get Soo Ji to admit publicly that she does not have a mother. Woo Ri picked up on that, and mused/wondered that Jun Ja is her stepmother.
Did anyone else cringe when Hyun Sung suggested reporting Soo Ji as missing? He still calls Jang Su "father". Soo Ji publicly turned him down, in front of both sets of parents. The guy has some serious issues.
LOL. Suji caught on and it seems she like how Uri likes her.1. She waited for him. That was a suddenly 180° change.2.…
I am hoping that part of her reaction was because she found out that the Courtyard "family" sought her out and gave her a discount, at Woo Ri's behest.
Ep 40 - Now I take issue with SJ arguing with SY, her landlady. SJ has crossed the line now because she was very…
I think that the arguing is merely a mechanism to make the mother/daughter reunion much more dramatic.
Drunk or not, the fact that Mr "No matter what, I will marry Soo Ji" hops into bed with another woman (if the preview is to be believed) mere days after her disappearance speaks volumes about his character, and not in a positive way.
I do not believe that there has been very much discussion about his time overseas (U.S.). There was a flash back where he told Soo Ji that he was going abroad to study but that was 10 years ago. You would imagine that one or both parents visited him, but who knows.
His stated reason for returning was Soo Ji being at the hospital, but that was not a recent situation, so that is dubious. My belief is that the real reason will be revealed and will cause problems for him.
When it comes to defend FL, people uses various excuses and logics but don't know same logics can apply with 2ml,…
Perhaps because the 2ML and 2FL are both thoroughly unlikable personalities. Plus, neither of them had terrible upbringings.
Na Young was raised in the same environment as Soo Ji. While it would not be unexpected that there is sibling rivalry, even dislike, the level of hatred exhibited by Na Young is far beyond the norm and, in my opinion, cannot be explained or excused by her upbringing.
With Hyun Sung, he is the only son of two successful people, who (as is the usual drama depiction) probably did not have much time for him. That he grew up selfish and entitled might not be so unexpected. However, the extreme possessiveness and inability to accept Soo Ji's stated feelings and decision again, in my opinion, cannot be explained or excused by his upbringing.
Like you, I suspect that there is something lurking in his 10 years away. If he was/is so obsessed with Soo Ji, why did he not even try to keep in touch or come back?
If so, what are the odds we have him publicly snidely thanking Woo Ri for helping him find her. Then, there is a sequence of episodes where Soo Ji is angry with Woo Ri; vents and ignores him; and "re-starts" things with Hyun Sung?
