I feel like he's a good guy. I don't get a sketchy vibe from him at all. It feels more like he's holding his true self back. I feel like he is more like Qi An then we all know. He probably sees himself in him.

I think they were talking about the princess pingyang plot. And there was also the chance the emperor might dismiss Huaiqing, as well. Which he kind of did when Lin An came through trying to help her brother. It was easy for him to not even ask her what she had to say after she was interrupted.

There is proof so far that he favors Lin An and only mildly respects Huaiqing's intelligence.

Yet there are people saying they don't like either so...? Maybe it's hard for people to not put the 2 together because of this?

I think not liking a character because she's a bit ridiculous in the beginning of dramas is outdated and we should all be mature enough to know that growth is part of storytelling.

The constant hate comments towards a character who barely has much screen time and isn't really the main focus yet is becoming annoying. Give it a rest already.

Lol she doesn't even show up until later episodes. The people who dislike her simply just write her off instead of trying to understand her character. I don't understand why you people even watch dramas...

I think GP is boring but I still love her character and can't wait for her to actually shine. FL is ridiculous but I feel like she'll have an epic character growth. The hate and dislike of her based on a couple episodes is becoming annoying. You all need to grow up and just watch. Why can't you all talk about the things you do like instead of the things you obviously have a hard time understanding?

Ah the story of princess pingyang is sad. I thought the monk guy heng hui tricked her at first but it's turning out that he might have loved her but a tragedy happened instead.

My guess is that the loong chooses its own master. And the emperor doesn't like things he feels are his to be taken from him. It's pretty sad because he caged that poor dragon when I'm guessing it's purpose goes beyond being a house pet. I'd like spoilers about it.

It's like the people who hate her aren't actually paying attention to the drama. It's becoming a little annoying and glad these people are dropping because you don't know what you are looking at.

The princess Lin An acts the way she does because she's always being compared to her sister in every way. Her own mother appears to not really care about her. She had to lie and get those poems so that her mother would praise her but only to find out her mother has no idea what she likes. And her mother doesn't care as long as her daughter can beat the grand princess.

Like seriously how can Lin An not turn out the way she is.

I don't think it's cookie cutter in dramas with a ML focused drama like this. Usually if the guy is the one with a quirky personality like XQA, the FL would be someone like the Grand Princess. Not the silly and less intelligent princess who has the potential to be a villain SFL in other dramas.

People have been calling her appearance odd and that is what makes her character even more compelling to me. I can't wait to see her growth.

Same! Everyone keeps talking about how they like the other princess, the real grand princess, but we don't even know anything about her besides she's supposed to be amazing at everything. Currently she is too perfect imo and would not fit ML.

I just finished episode 12 and I'm already on the ship between ML and FL. Hoping he finds out her identity soon.

Am I the only one who actually likes FL? The only thing I'm hoping for is her character growth. I feel bad for her especially after the episode with her mother giving her her "reward". And I like the fact that the only reason ML is being so dumb is because of his crush on her. I'm sorry but I can't wait to see how their relationship developes. 😆

I really don't understand it. I don't watch the variety shows because they don't interest me. Is veiwership higher on varieties after a drama ends or something?
