I have seen ALL THE BOF versions and even read the manga and watched the anime. We love this story (and it is considered a classic) for a whole different reasons. For me they are:
*First of all, Domyouji`s ( Thyme, Daoming Si, Go Jyn Pyo) total downfall from being a heartless arrogant smug son of a *'tch into becoming a humble young man who falls irrevocably in love with the first girl to ever stand up against him, Makino. His journey of love had such a bad start.He never even for one second could have thought that the girl he is bullying would become his future wife. Even when he realized that he has got strong feelings for her,he still managed to hurt her beacuse he was so new to the emotions that come with love..like possession,passion and jealousy. Was he the best guy for Makino? No...but no one in the universe could have loved her like he did.No one.
* F4`s relationship.I mean come on, this story would be NOTHING without all the rich guys we hate to love. The vicious Domyouji, the mysterious Rui, the playboy Soujiro and the carefree Akira. They stand together as a gang ever since they were kids in kindergarden and have learned to become cynical in the view of the hypocritical larger than life society they live in.They trust no one outside of their gang and always have got each others backs. They are connected and they honestly wouldn`t have fared well without each others emotional support.They need each other.They may fight when angry at each other, but they have such sincere love and respect for each other.I love that about F4.
I SCREAMED MY ROOF DOWN WHEN I SAW THE NEW TRAILER! Ah my heart! Everyone looks so much gorgeous and the acting and quality seems to be on point! But what really struck me was Bright`s portrayal of the dark Thyme....and i can`t wait until his one and only Gorya takes him down his knees and makes him grovel. My absolute favourite aspect in this story...it is going to be epic!
