Hi. Do you know or remember what episode the past finishes at? Like roughly.
the relationships are complicated, and I'm afraid I will spoil, but they let us see on the relationships of Eun-seong, Ra Hee, Do Hyeon and Yoo Chan. Does this answer your question?
Hi. Do you know or remember what episode the past finishes at? Like roughly.
I did not remember but I quickly checked the initial episodes. In ep 8 the past finishes and in ep 9 we see Eun-seong/Ha Na and Ra gong in high school and the story continues from there. Hope this helps :)
I don't usually watch medical dramas and I tend to avoid them. I also choose to watch this drama at random as I did not know what to watch. Moreover, I love time travelling so I went for it.
However, even though I had low expectations, I fell in love with this drama! :D It's very interesting, the drama showing modern medicine and oriental medicine. Also, since it does not focus on medical things only and shows us on the main leads and other characters and the time travelling makes it more awesome! ^_^
The comedy is awesome as well, I laughed a lot when the main lead arrived in the modern world and how he reacted, it was hilarious xD Also, it made me cry as well, it got really emotional at times. I love how a drama makes me cry, laugh, etc, I find these type of dramas really awesome <3
I'm hoping it has a happy ending :) Off to continue watching..... :)
EDIT: 09/12/17
Loved it! :D It was awesome and perfect! xD Loved the main leads and their kiss was awesome. <3 Their romance and how they showed us how they grow to love each other was awesome and adorable ^_^ Their romance was perfect :D
Also, loved the story! I loved how they made me cry, laugh, feel sad, etc a whole rollercoaster of emotions. That made me keep watching the drama, taking my time with it and I never felt bored or fast forwarded it.
Moreover, excellent acting from the whole cast ! :D They were all awesome and I felt that each character shown was essential to the story :D
For the ending was awesome as well, I'm so happy with it and how they got to be together again :D For a moment I thought they would be separate and I cried a lot when Heo Im went back to Joseon, but they got together, yay!! <3
Loved the surprise ending with Mak Gae who went into the modern world. It was interesting as well! :D I now want a spin-off! Shame that part wasn't subbed :(
finished! Loved it :D Kevin and Prima were so cute <3 I felt sorry for Kevin's mother but this series ended well.
Also, I finally get to watch Part 8, Lee's and the Boss story :D I'm super excited for it. The preview looked awesome and we get to see all the 7 couples, which is nice xD I'm off to watch it *squeal*
I immediately liked this couple they were so cute and adorable ^_^ How Blake acts towards Prima is so cute <3 Love them :D
Also, I liked the magic stuff it made it more interesting :D Their angel was awesome as well.
It's nice seeing Boss and Lee working together again, although it took them like a long time but anyway we'll finally get to see them together in Part 8, I'm looking forward to it :) They appeared a lot in this cupid series more than the past ones, as Prima talked to Lee for advice and Blake talked to Boss.
It was nice seeing Hunsa and Tim together again :)
Cupid series list - most favorite to least favourite (up till now):
1. Part 5 : Sorn Ruk Kammathep (loved the couple and the story)
2. Part 6 : Kammathep Sorn Kol (loved the couple and the story)
3. Part 7: Kammathep Jum Laeng (loved the couple but the story was ok)
4. Part 2 : Kammathep Ork Suek (loved the couple but the story was average - the reasons for the main guy's lying made no sense to me)
5. Part 1 : Kammathep Hunsa (loved the couple but the story was a ok)
6. Part 3 : Kammathep Online (the couple were ok, but I did not like the story that much in general, what made it nice to watch was because of the villain Mike and it had 9 eps so it got more draggy)
7. Part 4 : Loob Kom Kammathep (this couple I did not find them cute together, and the story was not that interesting. What I liked here is that the female lead was sassy and was able to take care of herself)
I found this story simple compared to the other 5 cupid series I have watched until now, but I love it :D The leads are so cute ^_^ This cupid series is my 2nd favorite after Part 5 of the cupid series that is Sorn Ruk Kammathep, as this is my favourite at least up until now :)

EDIT: 27/11/17:
Finished! I loved this one :) Loved the ending as well :) Although I did not expect for Rin to end that way as she did not deserve it. I loved the main leads, they were cute ^_^ I also liked how her cupid friends and co-workers tried to help her with the dentist, so adorable :D
It was also interesting to see about fortune tellers, although I found them a bit exaggerated, it was ok.
Also, I'm curious how the story for Boss and Lee will turn out since Lee quit in this cupid series, so I'm looking forward to it.
Also, for the next couple Part 7, I don't know how it will turn out as the next lead never appeared in the cupid series and also he did not even appear in this one that is Part 6. He sounds mysterious, I'll see how it will turn out :)
From the preview it looks interesting and it looks like magic is involved, and also Lee will appear again, I'll look forward to Part 7 and 8.
At first I was reluctant to start it as it had 122 episodes, but the gender bender genre made me watch it, as after all that's what got me into asian dramas,
Also, I did not like the beginning that much, when Eun Seong / Ha Na and her sisters were young. Maybe it's because how the witches (Ra Hee's and Ra gong's mother and grandmother) treated her family and I felt that the whole thing was so unfair and that the grandpa could have avoided the whole situation made me feel angry and annoyed.
Anyway, it got interesting when Eun Seong / Ha Na decided to become a boy and that made the whole story awesome and addictive, at least that's what I feel. It was super interesting seeing Eun Seong / Ha Na competing with Ra gong and most of the time she wins, that made me happy and rooted for her! :D
Moreover, what made me angry was the fact that a woman cannot lead a 400 year old company because of a stupid tradition that the first son has to lead the Soy Sauce company. What the heck!! The grandpa was super annoying and although he acknowledged that Ha Na is good and she was doing the best she can for the company, he still wanted Ra gong to lead! What the heck!! Ra gong never cared for the company, he always tried to harm the company, sell it to other people and I don't know what else!
Probably that's what kept me watching, I wanted to see the grandpa acknowledge Ha Na and tell her you're the perfect person to lead the company, but at least up until I watched he still has not acknowledged her, damn it!
The grandpa is super stubborn and he knows Ra gong never cared for the company, and what the heck once he caught him trying to steal his safe during a competiiton with Ha Na when she was still acting as a boy and he still wants him to lead the company!! That made me super mad.
Also, it was nice seeing Ha Na working hard to become a woman, I liked that process and the fact she showed she was awesome in making soy sauce and beating all those men, especially Ra gong made it more awesome! xD
For the story, it had complicated and stupid moments or what the hecj moments, but all in all at least up until I have watched it was ok and bearable. Alhough I have to admit that I made losts of fast forwarding of the episodes lately.
Also, I like the fact that the story is not only melodramatic, but it has funny moments, and moments where the bad guys sometimes win and lose and the goods guys sometimes win or lose. That made me keep watching as well.
All in all, the story was nothing special, but it had something that made me keep watching, maybe all these things I have mentioned have something to do with it, I don't know.
Also, all the characters and actors were great. I felt that all characters were essential, even Sul Do Eun (Seol Do Hyeon's sister). I felt that she was the comic relief at times and I really like her ^_^
What I find stupid is that although I'm still on ep 108, they never showed Ha Na's two sisters all grown up. They were shown only when they were young but then they sometimes mentioned them. I'm still waiting for her two sisters to show up although I doubt it that they will appear now. If they do not show up, I'll be dissappointed.
For the relationships.......so complicated! I got spoiled early on that Ha Na will end up with Han Yoon Chan, but until ep 108 there is still no indication that she will end up with him, what the heck! The romance part in this drama is a disaster! I'm dissapointed in that, as in the beginning I shipped her with Seol Do Hyeon when she was acting as a guy as she liked him and he liked her. Also, since they were roomates they showed most of them together.
However, he ended up getting married with Ra Hee and that made everything complicated. Yeah so what he married Ra hee to save Ha Na? That made no sense to me anyway and then I did not want them to end up together.
Then after that I started shipping her with Han Yoon Chan, but Ha Na never and never showed that she was interested in him romantically, but only saw him as a brother and as a friend, even up until ep 108.
Even after she got thrown out thd house after grandpa found out she's a woman and Han Yoon Chan helped her get back on her feet, she still went running to Seol Do Hyeon!! What the heck!! So I'm still not sure how she'll end up with Han Yoon Chan as there is still no indication that Ha Na likes him.
As from what I saw, I think she still likes Do Hyeon if she talked to him first about what she'll do to his father, as she was being careful not to hurt Do Hyeon and she later cried when Do Hyeon told her they are over.......so you're telling me that she still likes him.
Now I don't care who she ends up with as the writer made the whole romance thing stupid so I'm ignoring it.
Now I want to see grandpa accepting Ha Na as the company's heir and the first woman to be able to produce soy sauce as any man, Ha Na's mother and her sister moving into their house back, her sisters coming back, the witches, Ra Hee, Ra gong, Ra Hee's father and Mr Sul getting what they deserve. For Do Hyeon, although he became cold now, he should not get involved with his father.
I want Sul Do Eun having a happy ending and have a boyfriend :) I kind of shipped her with Ra gong as he really fell in love with her. I saw him in a different light as I thought he was an evil, cold hearted bastard with no care or compassion to anyone. He still is but I changed my opinion, a little towards him. But I'm not sure if they will end up together as Do Eun really hates his family, expecially Ra Hee.
I'm hoping Ha Na will win and succeed and defeat all the bad guys and those who tried to harm her multipy times.
It was really a long story, although I still haven't finished it yet, I'm kind of eager to finish it but at the same time I'm sad as since it was a long drama, I got to know all the characters well both their good sides and bad sides and saw them from different perspectives. I kind of got attached to them :) It may have been long and draggy but I really got attached and addicted to this drama lol.
Even with all the complications and the story was at times stupid or exaggerated or too cruel or evil or etc, I will miss them, and I will always have a soft spot for this drama and its' characters :)
Now I will continue it and see the ending and then comment on it ^_^ I'm hoping I will be satisfied.
P.S: Lol I really got into it, this is the first time I wrote a comment this long!
EDIT on 22/11/17:
In ep 108 Ha Na seems to be getting interested in Yoo Chan as she commented about his height, is worried about him, went to take care of him when he was sick, etc. For me, she's doing things she never have done to him.
A year passed so she can move on from Do Hyeon and on to Yoo Chan, I'll see what happens next.
What a shocking discovering in ep 113, it made the whole problems, fights, etc useless.....
Finally the bad guys are getting what they deserve in ep 118 and 119.....
Finally the grandpa declared he wants Ha Na to be the royal chef!! :D He finally acknowledged her that she's the one meant to be! :D Hurray, I'm so happy for her. She really worked hard and she's awesome^_^
Things went really quickly in ep 122 but a happy ending as everyone got what they deserved and the bad guys changed to the better :) Ha Na ended up with Yoo Chan, I'm disappointed that there was no kiss scenes but anyway I'm glad for them :)
Conclusion:
I really liked this drama :D Although it got draggy in the middle of it and I fast forwarded the episodes to watch it, I really got addicted to it. For the story it was not bad but it was nothing great or special. I not sure why I liked it as there were many reasons mentioned above but anyway I liked it :)
If you want to watch it, watch it if you like that the main actress disguised herself as a guy for a good reason, watch for the soy sauce company and things related to it as at least for me that was interesting and for family love.
What I'm really disappointed is that Ha Na's sisters who left for America did not appear again, that's the only complain I got.
I can't believe I watched 122 episodes. It took me a long time to watch it even with the fast forwarding. I'm happy I finished it but as the same time I will miss it. I will always remember Ha Na and her awesomeness :D
Wait, so you expect her to like unattractive guys who treat her badly and aren't gentlemen?
Yes you are right, I did not think from that perspective. Maybe because at her age, I did not do like her, so it did not occur to me in that way.
For the looks I might find a guy handsome and for you that same guy you might not find him handsome.
I usually see the personality, as yeah sometimes I get attracted to the appearance of the guy but after I get to know him and I do not like his personality, I don't feel attracted to him anymore.
In this story, the guys she has crushes on do treat her kindly, but for me their personality and how they act, I would definitely not accept it. She sees their personality and she still has crushes on them, so that's why I kind of disliked her.
But yes, I agree with you that it's kind of refreshing to see something different and even though I did not like the story fully, I'm still curious and looking forward to the movie and how the story will turn out.
Wait, so you expect her to like unattractive guys who treat her badly and aren't gentlemen?
no I'm saying she should like guys who treat her badly, I as a woman myself who prefer guys who treat me well and appearance should not matter. But I'm saying that she likes every single guy who does treat her kindly, she does not like one guy only. Even in the movie, when her "brother" treats her kindly she kind of felt something for him, at least that's what I saw in the movie.
Please remember that this first aired in 2009, eight years later it's STILL great. That's why I gave it a ten.
I don't usually take notice of the aired date of a drama as for me it does not matter. Also, I gave it an 8 not a 0 and I said I liked it generally.
I just did not like the story that much in the middle of it but the acting was excellent, so 8 for me still is a great rating for a drama. Moreover, everyone has different likes and tastes, I did not feel like it's the best taiwanese drama in the world, but I liked it.
So if you gave it a 10 it's up to you I cannot judge your rating as everyone experiences a drama or a story in different ways. You will find people who really likes something or finds it average or hates it, in every drama.
I don't agree with you on W, I found the story very interesting and original in my opinion, although I do agree with your reason for dropping it, however I still liked it :)
For Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto I do agree with your reason for dropping it. Yeah I found the whole relationships weird but it was not that bad. Maybe because it was short that I was able to watch it all because if it had longer episodes I would have probably dropped it.
For the rest I still haven't watched them, I know they are considered good and popular but for some reason I haven't got curious enough yet to watch them or I did not like the story from the summary at all.
Great article btw, I like reading about different perspectives on dramas that I liked and these types of articles make me reflect more about them :)
Although when the main lead got amnesia, it got too long, draggy and dramatic and to be honest I started fast forwarding the episodes, but when he got his memory back I think the drama got better again.
I loved all the characters and their acting was excellent! :D Also, the main leads chemistry was awesome and their son was so cute and adorable and so mature for his age!
I've been wanting to watch it for some time and I don't regret it even though in my opinion people praised it too much. Maybe yeah for the acting and the chemistry and relationships between characters I'll give it a 10.
But for the story, I'll give it an 8 since I have seen better stories and Taiwanese drama tend to drag a lot and also I usually avoid watching amnesia themed drama (as I got sick of it) and considering the fact that it had amnesia, I still liked it on the whole :)
And the ending made me feel happy for them and I smiled like an idiot lol ^_^ The kidnappers part was hilarious lol :D
P.S:
You'll probably ask why you watched it when you got sick of amnesia themed dramas?
Yep I got curious about it since people praised it so much and I wanted to see how the story will turn out = I got curious and when I get curious I get right to it lol.
So my advice is if you are curious watch it right now!
However, I did like the main leads, their romance was sweet :)
I did not hate this drama but I did not like it that much either, I can say it was ok.

currently watching and on ep 108.....near the end

I just did not like the story that much in the middle of it but the acting was excellent, so 8 for me still is a great rating for a drama. Moreover, everyone has different likes and tastes, I did not feel like it's the best taiwanese drama in the world, but I liked it.
So if you gave it a 10 it's up to you I cannot judge your rating as everyone experiences a drama or a story in different ways. You will find people who really likes something or finds it average or hates it, in every drama.
On the whole I really liked it :)
