In Japan we’ve had many actress and actors doing this. There’s also in Hollywood. There’s even older female actresses and male leads who isn’t even 21 in short dramas etc doing same roles. But they be literally kissing etc. It’s repetitive and over the top. If you say you’re not watching then don’t. why bully her fans, her, her family, agency and her dramas? she literally trended on Weibo last night for her grace and poise plus beauty. she’s definitely not hurting by their haters. netizens adore her. That’s what matters not intl fans whose bullying her.

Chen Xiao never disappoints me. Not once, nor has Zhu Ya Wen. Loving this drama so much. It has the feeling of The Longest day in Chang’an vibes. I love the SFL as well. Kinda new to her but omg she’s pretty and her character isn’t annoying. Which I was expecting.

but my comment wasn’t about them. It’s about this drama an a few bad apple fan of both actors in this drama. Not outsiders.

these dramas are older so at that time they were not low budget.

This! Also Hidden Shadow and especially Blossoms in darkness are the two most favorite and sought after youku produce dramas of Li Hongyi. Not to mention he’s taken a role that’s modern that isn’t with youku. He signed (rumored) a contract to produce majority dramas with youku. So it’s not LHY as the comment above suggests. He’s not the issue but youku is. They do this to my other favorite PxR an her latest drama flopped. FUWD did okay and on Wetv Hot list made it to top 1&2. So it did better than TD. And it was much older than this drama I believe. I’m just enjoying having him back. He’s humble an down to earth. He’s not hurting from money as he managed it well with his parents.

he’s already one in the making. I feel for him but it’s like he’s also twisted. I get how he ends up being this way the abuse and bad treatment but I also think it’s also how they were born lesser than others. So for me he’s a good character / actor but I saw his villain era the moment he smiled. 😭
