She always chooses Chang An (episode 27 starts the reconciliation) but I always thought that Gong Zi knew her better. Honestly, I don't think she ever thought Gong Zi loved her but some of the looks he would give her just absolutely melted me.

Do you all think that Wan Mei should have chosen Chang An or Gong Zi? I think that the actress who played Wan Mei had off the chart chemistry with both actors but I am personally conflicted who I think she should have chosen. Just wanted to hear others thoughts.....

There's several very well written articles by Erudite further on down this comment section that can explain the ending in detail. I think the ending was open and am among a lot of people hoping for a season 2.

I'm also watching Oriental Odyssey and it's pretty good. I love a strongly written female part.

I didn't see much chemistry between the two leads other than a sister / brother kind of vibe. The cinematography was beautiful and the episode was well produced, but so far, I can't relate to their interactions.

I was hesitant about watching this drama but am soooo freaking glad that I did. First off, hats off to the writers and actors who made the words and emotions absolutely riveting. To me, the basic story line is what constitutes a good person and the hypocrisy that sometimes lurks behind the smiling facade. I've become slightly disenchanted with Korean drama's of late but this is a 10 out of 10.

This show is so realistic that it hurts. I 100% agree with you about the latest scenes with Yoo Yeong and Seok Moo.

I cannot believe the incredible acting depth to Kim Yoon Jin (Ms. Ma) in this drama. She plays the mother who has lost her child with rage and anguish at the same time. I agree wholeheartedly that her portrayal is, at times, chilling.

That's awesome! How stupid can you actually be, as a business person, to shut this service down? There is a HUGE following of Chinese, Japanese and Korean dramas in the US, me being one of them. I hope they realize their own stupidity!

I discovered my love of drama's through "Descendants of the Sun" and from that point on, have become a certified addict. Mr. Sunshine was different in that the show left me wanting to know all the historical details of what actually happened during this time period, who were the real freedom fighters and heroes? This show was a masterpiece of storytelling, acting and production and I'd like to give a very sincere thank you to writer Kim Eun-sook, director Lee Eung-bok and every cast and crew member. Mr. Sunshine delivered an emotional, slow burn episodic journey that will resonate for a long while.

Episode 23.....what an emotional ride! This drama is perfection in prose, acting and production.
