I'm in. Thank you.
Chen Lijun had 11 days to learn and shoot the scenes, it happened during the middle of her national tour with her troupe. She puts a lot of effort into everything that she does, there are some that questioning about the recasting and re-shooting but Lijun never disappoint.

She's quite popular domestically, overseas I can't say the same. (Same with Li Yunxiao)

She is in the trailer at least three times at 0:27, 0:33, 0:52 and 0:56, she's the one who says 擅动刀兵者 and 死.

I pretty much watched it for Chen Lijun, I didn't know what to expect since it was my first time watching a show like this and pretty much didn't know many of the contestants but I really enjoyed the performances and the interactions between the sisters.

I think everyone really need to read the original synopsis, Twinkling Watermelon is a coming-of-age drama in which…
People just straight up bash and hate on Eun-yu instead trying to look from her perspective and how sees things around her. Attack her for trying to get her mum with Yi-chan when she has no idea that Yi-chan is Eun-gyeol's father. Like don't you understand what dramatic irony is? The audience knows that Yi-chan is Eun-gyeol but Eun-yu doesn't know that, she only knew Yi-chan has a crush on her mother because Eun-gyeol mentioned it to her. Yet everyone just straight up saying she's ruining things instead of looking from her viewpoint to understand how she sees the situation, the dramatic irony was used to build tension between her and Eun-gyeol. Her plan of getting her mum together with her first love was a last minute decision after talking with Eun-gyeol it was defiantly something that had thought about with the issue of getting her mum with her first love, she doesn't know that her mum was never going to go back to the South Korea not even to visit during her holidays. She thought that her mum might come back during the Spring Festival so that she would be there to see Yi-chan play in the band so she could get them together during the time she visits South Korea again there's the dramatic irony the viewers know that Se-kyung says that she's never coming back not even to visit while Eun-yu's thinking that she would had came back for the Spring Festival. Eun-yu doesn't have a good relationship her parents since her dad spends a lot of time working and her mum spends to much time drinking and being obsessed with her, the communication between the two isn't great. Eun-yu has deep hatred towards her mother so it affects how she interacts with her mother.
(This all I'm going to write for now, I will come back to this later)

I think everyone really need to read the original synopsis, Twinkling Watermelon is a coming-of-age drama in which a coda (child of deaf adult) model student boy befriends the younger version of his father and falls in love with a mysterious girl after he accidentally time travels through a suspicious musical instrument store. It only mentions the younger version of his father and a mysterious girl that he falls in love with (Eun-yu). The writer had never intended Cheong-ah to have a major role in the wider storyline of the show please neither is Cheong-ah and Yi-chan's relationship. Please stop asking for something that had been decided way before the filming of the drama.

I think that her and her family has a connection to the overall plot also she has the connection with Eun-gyeol, Yi-chan and Eun-yu that's why she's a main character

the writer literally abandon cheongah like cheongah's family did to her

Everybody else seems fine with this, but I'm not, so I'm going to rant. I don't understand why everybody is so…
This is the original synopsis of Twinkling Watermelon is a coming-of-age drama in which a coda (child of deaf adult) model student boy befriends the younger version of his father and falls in love with a mysterious girl after he accidentally time travels through a suspicious musical instrument store.

It was never about Eun-gyeol's parents romance, where did you come up with fixing Yi-chan love's life, he is happy with Cheong-ah in the present so why does it need to be fixed? Eun-yu is the mysterious girl that he falls in love, stop trying to ask for a narrative that never existed in the first place. 🙄

Eun-yu is not annoying and obnoxious, she spent many year of her childhood being uncared for while her parents argued, had to hid all her emotions and doing everything her mum's sake, now she could be who she wants and free from her troubles. She never want to pretend that she was her mother until Eun-gyeol mistook her for her mother.

totally agreed..i don’t know whats the point of forcing a new romance here while we already have a great chemistry…
Read the original synposis of the drama, it literally says that he falls in love with a mysterious girl (Eun-yu). The family bonding is just one part of the drama, there's more to it.

What if Se Kyeong ‘s first love who she actually described in episode 7 was her biological dad? Since he knows…
Someone on twitter said it could be her biological father, he was in a band according to his character bio

Eun-yu is the mysterious girl that Eun-gyeol falls in love with, it had been that way since the drama was announced that Eun-gyeol would have a love interest.

the eunyu hate is just misogyny. you have to agree. these are the same people who would eat up a 2guy1girl love…
So true though, it reminds of Cheer Up (2022) where a lot of the viewers were obsessed with the SML because of his visuals despite him being a lowkey stalker of the FL and treating other girls terribly. Not realising that he was a complete red flag but hey he's was a good looking guy.

Ratings dropped in 5th and 6th ep too. Its not related to writting. Its related to hyunwook issue. Public is boycotting
The ones that you mentioned shows has actors and actress are quite well known and they have a well established fanbase in Korea it's the same with Kim Tae-ri. Hyun-wook on the other is still a rising star, so image is very important.

Yep but after watching ep 8 its seems thats start her character development even a little like she tell YiChan…
She was only introduced a few episodes ago, the character development is going happen as the story progress when she becomes more aware the situations of the other characters but the expectation that she should act like she should know everything about what is going on is unrealistic.
