Am I the only one who thinks Wayu is a bit...manipulative? I’ve seen quite a few instances of this. Like, he seems to cry and/or look like a kicked puppy whenever he doesn’t get what he wants or something happens that he doesn’t like, and then people are swayed by it and like trip over themselves trying to please him. This seems to be more glaring in scenes with Thanu. Like, when Thanu wanted to put space between them, he made that sad face and turned around and waited for Thanu to cave and be like nevermind. Yikes.
Another episode in which Thanu is trying to force himself to commit to Wayu, while he’s busy thinking about Phai. Sigh. Well, based on the teaser for next episode, Wayu discovers the pic Thanu drew of Phai and, thus, Thanu’s feelings for Phai. As expected, he will not take it well. I wonder if his reaction to everything is to cry.
Agree 100%! People infantilize Wayu, and act like he’s this poor innocent tortured soul who everything bad happens…
It’s gotten to the point that I grimace every time Wayu is on screen. He’s a boil on the ass of this show. I just can’t handle weak characters like him. I get so much second-hand embarrassment whenever I see him blubbering or making that kicked puppy face. It drives me INSANE. People are always commenting about how terrible it is that people/situations make him cry, when honestly he’d probably sob over a paper cut. He is in UNIVERSITY and still acts like this, and it’s seen as sweet/endearing??? The way I’m tired...
Based on what we know both from within and outside the show I think they'll either make an "alternate ending"…
A lot of people are probably going to be surprised/disappointed when Thanu ultimately ends up with Phai (even those who’ve read the 2nd book). Meanwhile, I’ll be trying my best not to say “I told you so” lols. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Pha screwed him over and is complete trash, but heartbreak is a part of growing up. The problem with Wayu is that his sense of self worth and his identity are largely tied into who he’s dating/his love life, which is so so unhealthy. I ship that boy with therapy. And I was so annoyed by what Mark said to Thanu after Thanu revealed he wanted to distance himself from Wayu. At one point, he even said that dating Thanu is a way for Wayu to get over Pha. Thanu is a whole ass individual, and peeps are acting like the world revolves around Wayu (Thanu’s happiness seems to not be important). Mark literally spent that entire “pep talk” guilt tripping Thanu. Now, Thanu is going back to Wayu out of pity/guilt. So many yikes. Although, I can’t wait for things to get really interesting next episode lols. Looking forward to seeing Thanu x Phai tension/yearning. In that teaser, they were legit just staring at each other like no one else existed, while Phai awkwardly hugged the ever-oblivious Wayu.
Yikes at Mark’s advice. He couldn’t have known, but the whole point of Thanu wanting to spend time away from Wayu was completely missed. Now, Thanu is staying with Wayu out of pity, instead of putting distance between them like he wanted to (and should have done). No one wants someone to stay with them out of pity (and I’m guessing Wayu won’t be happy with Thanu, Mark, and Kit when he finds out).
And then Wayu being Phai’s mentor. Double yikes. Awkward moments are coming. Expecting lots of romantic tension and longing between Thanu and Phai, and looking forward to it. I’ve already seen comments on Twitter saying that Thanu is cheating on Wayu with Phai. So ridiculous.
I need Phai and Thanu to end up together, they just feel right, like two puzzle pieces that belong together.
Oh, they will! That, I am sure of. Many people don’t believe me, but I am willing to bet my left tit that they’re endgame (even if it’ll take until towards the end of season 2 for them to be officially together and committed). I’ll let people speculate about which episode. Can’t wait to see everyone’s face when that happens :D

It’s seems to just be bitter people who want Thanu and Wayu together, instead of Thanu and Phai. ? I personally love Thanu x Phai. Wayu needs to be single for a while (plus, I’m generally not a fan of him).
Thanu/Phai have displayed more chemistry in their very few scenes together than Thanu/Wayu have in their many scenes together. I see the fan service has begun now that they’ve officially met on the show lols. Looking forward to seeing more of them. I’m a sucker for soulmates; don’t understand how any of their scenes were any cringier than any of Thanu’s with Wayu. Honestly, Wayu needs to be alone for a while to reflect, heal, and grow. He let being Pha’s boyfriend be basically his entire identity, and that is so so damaging. He’s a good person and a great friend, so it would be nice to see him happy with someone new further down the line.
