It bored me, until they started going properly into why Sorn was so ephebiphobic. Before that it was “annoying nonsensical young man rubs uglies with beautiful but distant tall guy”, and very little else. There was zero real development of character or story. I might have enjoyed it more if Jun wasn’t such an idiot, but even in the extra episodes he irritated me. I hope Oat’s next characters are more likeable, because between that and his real life flub life seems to be imitating art, and I don’t like disliking actors. I’m aware different people get different things from watching the same productions though. I wasn’t meaning to imply it was universally dull.
Oh, where are all the complainers/haters today?🤔Now that we've got a little plot going on and much less NC…
I dropped it. I was finding the discussion more entertaining than the series, which was a bad sign. I’ll keep reading this so if it goes beyond a string of NC beads I can pick it up again. Smut just isn’t enough to hold my interest. I had the same problem with My Stubborn. I only ended up watching the ending because of the discussion indicating some character development 🙃
I think this is quite possibly the most abortive timeline I’ve ever seen. They need to stop jumping, and give more information around big events, such as the first abduction. What lead into it and how it ended, for example. The story is a total fustercluck. There’s a bit to like, but it’s being seriously detracted from by the order and extent of events shown, and the choppy shifts. I’ll persist because of the main pair, but I am disappointed so far.
I’ve just started watching this, and I’m liking the main couple. It’s so nice watching people my own age! all the stretching and groaning in the morning is brutally real…
I’m watching it on Vipa without my VPN running. They are apparently happy for Kiwis to watch, which makes a nice change. Having to VPN around to find territories with access is very tiresome.
No, I’m not going any further. It’s so stilted and weird, and basic, but without the charm needed for an plotless slice of life. I had thought maybe they’d learn from criticism of the first one, but it’s worse. I’ll watch your discussion of it, rather than the show. it’s much more worth my time.
Koh is going to die young. The fumes from soldering are bad for you, and he’s inhaling so much. He needs an extractor, or at the very least a fan. Even knowing Off may not ever do that again it makes my teeth itch to see him so oblivious. Even a PC case fan would help. The production manager needs a swift kick in the arse.
I’m a bit over this. They killed off one of the few consistently likeable characters, Jack & Ja continue to needlessly create melodrama, and the acting isn’t improving. I’m retiring this one from my watchlist.
It looks like Pavel wanted to cry when Thup called him again and again ... That scene made me emotional because…
I think Victor was the best actor in this series by a large margin. He played naturalisticly all the way through, without melodrama. It was interesting how much scarier than anyone else that made him. I found Bom more frightening than the ghost or his father. Being convincing is more frightening than melodrama.
🤣 We know the series isn't going well when we can only comment good things about a characters house hahahaha.…
😆
I’m obsessed with it. My sister and I both love mid-century homes. She goes for the more brutal, heavy on concrete look. I’m into the more delicate natural wood version. This house has exactly the vibe I go for. If this house were here I’d be wanting to buy it. I’ve noticed a lot of houses with this feel in Thai productions. P&P’s home in KinnPorsche had a similar feel to it, and other shows have featured locations like this.
Re. the production: I honestly think it’s pure fan service. It’s like My Stubborn, in that the whole thing is an excuse to string together a series of NC scenes together, rather than actual attempt at storytelling. If we’re very lucky the characters might get arcs, but I’m not going to keep watching. I may go back if reviews after the fact mention an improvement in at least two of plot, characterisation, or acting. My Stubborn kept my interest with a few of the cast members, and the fact that there were arcs, but it gave the impression of prioritising NC scenes over the things I value much higher in a romance. My note in this is “basic wank-bank” for now 🙃
I find it interesting that Koh came up with his way to make art (and money) and as an artist Jira should try to…
GAI is, by its very nature creative violence. The only way to train it effectively to create art like humans create is by feeding it the work of creative human beings. By that very act you are in fact stealing, because none of the art concerned was released by the artists who made it. making a creative human redundant in their vocation is really negative. The impact on art and artists is devastating, and it’s based on a really insidious form of plagiarism. I’ve worked in video games, and have many friends who are either fine artists or commercial artists in a range of industries, from games, through film, and into fashion and industrial design, and not one of them would release their work to be exploited this way. I suspect you’d have to look very hard to find a really passionate artist who considers what the big AI companies are doing acceptable. Scraping the internet to feed GAI is basically mass piracy that harms creative humans. It’s completely unacceptable. Doing it to artists you know personally and care about is how you turn them into enemies. This point of view isn’t unusual or over the top. It’s wrecking careers, by theft, and the future of creativity by autocannibalism, and selective breeding. I’m not angry as I write this. I’m just kind of horrified that the future ramifications of this haven’t occurred to you.
