This is good, and has a spectacularly pretty cast, and nicely written characters, and so far no stupid bad communication. I am enjoying the complete absence of toxicity.

“Drinks” are like a table charge. It’s basically cash. They don’t actually drink them. It’s a unit of value. They might put a bottle on the table, and allocate hosts,space, and table service. You can bet the cost to provide all that is wall below the cost of 1000 “drinks”.

Bad dubbing is what the target audience expects, and is used to, I think. I don’t know if it will help you, but I turn the sound right down when I watch Chinese dramas, so the dubbing isn’t so in your face. It definitely improves the experience for me.
