Really enjoying this drama so far I love the banter between the two main leads. I'm really hoping that this misunderstanding doesn't play out for too many episodes.

Same.I will start with her cousin Xaoi Yu, didn't like that her cousin's issues were never addressed she showed an extreme inferiority complex. Like I'm sorry you don't just suddenly stop being that way when you're not in a competition I mean I know winning was super important to her so I guess you could say that the competition brought out the worst in her. But the way she constantly belittled and talk down to her cousin and like basically talked like her cousin was worthless the way she and Boris tried to sabotage her confidence with that Teddy or during the competition when she drove off to her and abandoned her in the middle of nowhere so that she would be forced to drop out of the competition through disqualification. When she was in the hospital and the cousin showed more concern over her fish than somebody's life especially her family. The fact that she actually never understood what her mistake was drove me crazy and then at the end when she ended up getting really burned because she was so hell-bent on winning and there was never an official apology from her towards her cousin and her awful actions and the fact that Kesong forgave her like that it kind of drove me crazy. Honestly didn't want her and the Canadian guy blew to end up together because I feel like she didn't deserve him.
I could kind of understand Boris having a change of attitude because you know he found out some things about Montgomery and it shows him actually realizing how much of his he had been and you could see him legit being legitimately about it.
As for Elise I feel like she didn't get enough Karma going her way the fact that they just forgave her I was like yeah no harm was done but she conspired to hurt someone and she unintentionally ended up hurting someone else because she poisoned his mentee like his mentee could have died. And then finding these cures she only made things worse. Inspired to take his restaurant away from him and even though later she burned it because he legitimately gave everything to her and she gave it to her mom I feel like that part was never addressed at the end like once he got his sight and taste back they should have given him the restaurants back to him because they were rightfully his. They don't talk about I think what her sentence was they just said she got a reduced sentence before being deported. She committed crimes not to mention the fact that she framed his assistant for her evil deeds. She never showed remorse until after after the fact when she realized it was actually having a detrimental affect on his health.
We do get a happy ending Oliver’s true love is the one telling the story and he does get his sight and taste…
What?! This doesn't make any sense. He got his taste back that experimental pill that Elise had bought. Basically only had 10% chance and higher chance of killing the person who was taking it that's why It hadn't passed animal trials yet lol. Actual fact because he can't see she should have taken his hand and originally LED it to the tray so that he would know that the tray was there for one or the first time and the second time she should have told him the dessert was there I mean he's blind she has to provide auditory comment so he can visualize where things are
So I am watching this but the pacing is weird and I feel kind of rushed. For instance after his uncle like takes her away he like rushes into the room to save her and she's there by herself he grabs her and he kisses her and he's only announces that he's wildly in love with her? Like where in the hell did that come from? I could see that they started to have affection but I didn't think it was anywhere close to him suddenly announcing that he loved her lol. I like the fact that the actor plays all these like smart and careful planners but then all this his careful planning seem to go just right out the window suddenly over her?
So why didn't it occur to them that the queen is smart and cunning and she could have used a substitute but nobody stopped to think about that lol.
And then for her like she doesn't seem like she's the smartest character like when she finds out about this assassination attempt and she finally gets the chance to go and tell him and he won't listen cuz he's angry and hurt I was like why didn't you write a note you could have just like handed him the note rather than like being more suspicious by making everybody leave lol. Also like when she was saying all those hurtful words and stuff like did it never occurred to him that he can sacrifice for her but like he doesn't think she can sacrifice for him?
Also the CGI isn't that great at least compared to others Chinese dramas that I've seen.

Don't think the assistant had an agenda per se I think that he was just struggling because his mom had a gambling addiction and so whatever money he sent her to live on she would just spend it's one of the reasons he lived in such a shabby house. And Boris being the dick that he is just assumed it was because his boss wasn't paying him enough. Also want the cousin to get what's coming to them in fact I want the cousin , Boris, Elise, Victor and the mom to all get what's coming lol
