Until somebody posted a comment earlier from him, the episode where Lord Hengfang dies that he saw a ring on the floor and another comment her had posted about how he shouldn’t pick up the ring because I think the ring actually belong to his father, the emperor of Zushui kingdom. So I think he did put on the ring and he put it on which is why he appears to be more powerful and can do things he didn’t do before.

I’ve not read the novels, but I know from spoilers and the novels that it was actually the female leads biological father who was tasked with taking the male lead away and raising him. I know in the novel from spoilers I’ve read that the the female lead was still born of the empress’s line just by a distant relative. I think the Empress. was bitter and resentful that someone else gave birth to a child that had such strong spiritual veins and not her, so right from day one she didn’t treat the female lead very well. They changed it from the novel, but from the age of 10 she was consistently poisoning the her and if the female lead did well obeyed, and basically did what she was supposed to do, which is winning in the arena she got the antidote. This is where I don’t agree with the female leads father in the novel, or even the male leads master in the drama . They might be angry and resentful at the Empress, but the fact that they took it out on children or a child I really makes me angry me. So I guess in the novel, the female leads biological father who is a palace guard has front row seats to his own daughter, being consistently, abused by the empress after she forcibly took her away. He then reciprocated that abuse onto the male lead because he was angry and resentful that he had to watch his daughter being abused. I think the Empress feeling paranoid and wanting to further control the female lead started poisoning her when she was 10 years old. That’s when he sold the male lead in to slavery.

Where is in the drama the male leads master feeling bitter and resentful makes the choice to abandon him as an infant. It’s not his fault that his biological mother the empress is an evil biatch, and there is absolutely no reason in either circumstances for anyone to take it out on him. I think because I read books spoilers, this also gives me an added insight into the female leads character, even though they haven’t shown very much of her background yet

So from the spoilers, I read in the novel when she went to fight JZB in the tournament she was already poisoned like she’s known she’s poison this entire time. It’s just the empress chose not to give her the antidote that day because she realize that JZB was her son, and that he now had spiritual veins. In the novel, she never actually fought him in the tournament she left before their fight.So what’s the use of keeping the female lead around when her son has now entered the picture and has spiritual veins

Yes, from the spoiler, I read apparently the Bo sisters, s master and her sister were fleeing from the persecution of being attacked the Zushui Clan? They ended up in. I can’t even remember the name, female lead kingdom. While taking sanctuary there I’m horrible with names. The male needs faster. Her sister fell in love with the female leads master and got pregnant. The emperor was pregnant at around the same time so they gave birth close together. Unfortunately, female eats mother died during childbirth the empress gave birth to his son who didn’t have spiritual veins so she forcibly adopted the female lead and gave her son to the mail, leads master, bitter and resentful at what the empress had done she abandoned the infant in the wilderness. I think at one point she went back out of guilt, but discovered that he was gone. Her actions caused her intense remorse, all her life, and eventually she went back and found him and asked him to be her disciple, this is why she went against her clans wishes to not reveal the golden dream millet to the world to save his life

I think I read a spoiler that he’s actually her biological father. One of the reasons why she has to hide. Her identity is because the emperor had originally given birth to a boy, but the boy didn’t have spiritual veins, this is why she has to wear an illusion. So basically the emperor abandoned her son who didn’t have spiritual veins and traded him for a child who did have spiritual veins that was born around the same time. Which is the female lead

Even though I’ve read spoilers on who her master actually is to her when I’m re-watching episode 24 and now that she has the freedom to act kind of more like herself without the empress around, does anyone think that she and her master have remarkably similar personalities lol
