ML is the boy that was with her when she was poisoned. She has been looking for him because he was poisoned too.…
If they are going off the Korean version, then his face blindness is the result of him hitting his head. Because that is the only element that that show the beauty inside and the shell having common is the male lead having facial blindness and the female transforming. I do find it weird though so were they both poisoned to transform then or was he fed a different potion and why would they want to poison them that way anyway lol

I'm struggling with the first three episodes since they came out. The acting isn't great, and the female lead…
The facial blindness isn’t a disease it’s usually related to head trauma. I know in the modern Korean drama, the beauty inside he was able to get surgery, which cured his injury, but I don’t feel like that would be here lol. In the drama, I watched the beauty inside where the female transformed. It never actually goes into how or why she started transforming because the drama is about being accepted and loved for who you are and would you be able to love someone who had that kind of condition except them. I feel like by her looking for a cure, kind of defeats the original message of the Kdrama that they are very loosely basing this on

I never felt like that face blindness is the comedic element though.

Nice to meet you, I'm here also from The Double and my jaw is dropped in episode two of this one. I refuse to…
She doesn’t just become a guy, though she comes man, woman of any age child, teen or adult. They explained it that she was poisoned when she was young and because of the poison she transforms into different people.

This is very loosely based off of a Kdrama called the Beauty inside where 10 years ago, the female lead transformed into an elderly woman for the first time. Never really explains why or how she became like that so she just kind of accepts that that’s the way she is and goes on with her life. In the Kdrama, her transformation is the main theme and how it affects her life and the difficulties she faces thanks to the rumours that surround her because she is an actress. Also even though it’s a romcom, they’re a lot of funny moments but they’re also a lot of moments too like how she ends up missing life events because nobody, except for her best friends know that she changes and how it affects her relationships with her friends and her mom.

Where is here? The main theme isn’t really that she transforms it to find a cure, but also trying to find the boy that saved her. For the male lead, it’s about him Doing investigations and I think trying to find out what happened to his father probably. So his facial blindness and her transformations seem like a secondary plot and not the main one

Why do you think the plot is odd? Do you mean with the facial blindness and the transformation?

To be honest for the social aspect, I think the beauty inside does a better job. This shows very, very, very loosely based off of this came drama series called the beauty inside, although it is modern romcom. Also, the beauty inside really doesn’t have any other storylines other than looking at how she and then the male lead each deal with not only their own issues and how it affects their life but also with each other.

Where is in this show you have the main plot, which is her trying to find a cure I know it’s a completely different story With only the facial blindness and the transformation, being even similar to the beauty and inside . I really liked about the beauty inside is the female lead, excepting and adapting to her being like that because she didn’t know what caused it and the theme being Love in all forms and being able to accept someone no matter what. I feel like with her trying to find a cure in this show It makes it seem like She doesn’t really have to accept that This is the way she is Because she can be cured

In the K drama, the female lead is an actress, although she doesn’t get as many bookings anymore because of all the rumours surrounding the different people that are seen at her house. The poignancy of it is that she misses events in her life because no one knows what she goes through except for you best friends. So people saying nasty things about her because she missed going to their wedding or when her mom was sick in the hospital she couldn’t go as her daughter.

Them finding out each other's secret was quite... anti-climatic. I'm not sure what I expected, maybe less comedy…
To be honest, this is very, very, very, very loosely Based off of a Kdrama called the beauty inside the main lead also had face blindness although for some reason, the only face he could recognize was hers, but he also didn’t really have a big reaction from what I remembered, probably because his mom had a bigger reaction to the man, she found him in bed with lol

Gosh... Ryan Cheng's character is incredibly annoying. As much as I love the actor, I don't enjoy his role here…
I also feel like he’s up to no good, like that that informant who held the girl hostage at the very beginning, I can’t help but feel like he killed her on purpose. I mean, it could be that they’re just making it feel like that to lead viewers. I can’t help but feel like he’s doing things super shady like when the pawnshop guy was saying him that they’re on the same side. I feel like he actually did his sister a favour by warning her about him because they don’t have a good relationship. She didn’t just brush him off.

Same here, I also keep thinking about The Beauty Inside, haha
I knew that this was very, very, very loosely based off the beauty inside, but basically the only elements they’ve kept are that the male lead has facial blindness through head trauma, and the female lead changes every month. Other than that, they’ve changed absolutely every aspect of the story.

I do think that the although I love that, they actually explained that instead of getting her menstrual cycle, she gets the transformation instead which they never really explained in the K drama. I don’t like the fact that they have said that she is this way because she was poisoned so now she is looking for a cure. I liked the premise of the beauty inside because it explores the topic of love in all its various forms, but also explore the topic of acceptance and loving somebody no matter what. In the beauty inside, she just accepts that this was part of her life now and adapted to it whereas I feel like because she’s looking for a cure, the female lead hasn’t accepted that she might be this way forever.

1. why is YNX angry with JXB after the wedding ? he didn’t really lie to her as she claims. he is legit trying…
This was also my understanding as to why she was angry. Even though he had the confidence that he could protect her if she's putting her life at risk she has a right to know exactly what she's risking and he kept her in the dark he said they were friends and that's not what friends do which is why she felt used

Prosopagnosia is a real medical condition. As frustrating as it may be for viewers, I appreciate it also brings…
I don't find it comedic relief though cuz it's a real neurological injury. This is very very Loosely based on a kdrama called the beauty inside where the male lead has facial blindness. He also got it through head trauma rescuing the female lead.

Beauty inside when made it special is out of all the faces he couldn't recognize no matter what face she wore he could always recognize her face and know who she was. In this drama he doesn't even recognize her face

In episode 2 , the FL bandage is over her sleeve?
This is actually very common in Chinese dramas it always makes me laugh because putting a bandage over the sleeve rather than over the womb itself is not logical LOL

That I don't like is that reason that she's that way because she was poisoned. One of the reasons why I love the beauty inside is because she didn't know why she was that way it just happened and she accepted that that's the way she was going to be for the rest of her life. So not only does it showcase the different forms of love but it's all about would you be willing to accept a person if they had a condition where once a month they were turning to somebody else so you had to accept them for any age race and gender. I feel like the implication is that she can be cured of this which I feel like takes away from the overall message of accepting someone and loving them no matter what

Ah ok. Also it appears that she doesn't stays that way for the full 7 days. Cuz it look like after gave she was wondering why she was still with that other face? And was questioning why she hadn't changed back yet I can't imagine that that many days had passed but then again maybe I had cuz Chinese dramas don't show time very clearly lol
