I knew that this was very, very, very loosely based off the beauty inside, but basically the only elements they’ve kept are that the male lead has facial blindness through head trauma, and the female lead changes every month. Other than that, they’ve changed absolutely every aspect of the story.

I do think that the although I love that, they actually explained that instead of getting her menstrual cycle, she gets the transformation instead which they never really explained in the K drama. I don’t like the fact that they have said that she is this way because she was poisoned so now she is looking for a cure. I liked the premise of the beauty inside because it explores the topic of love in all its various forms, but also explore the topic of acceptance and loving somebody no matter what. In the beauty inside, she just accepts that this was part of her life now and adapted to it whereas I feel like because she’s looking for a cure, the female lead hasn’t accepted that she might be this way forever.

This was also my understanding as to why she was angry. Even though he had the confidence that he could protect her if she's putting her life at risk she has a right to know exactly what she's risking and he kept her in the dark he said they were friends and that's not what friends do which is why she felt used

I don't find it comedic relief though cuz it's a real neurological injury. This is very very Loosely based on a kdrama called the beauty inside where the male lead has facial blindness. He also got it through head trauma rescuing the female lead.

Beauty inside when made it special is out of all the faces he couldn't recognize no matter what face she wore he could always recognize her face and know who she was. In this drama he doesn't even recognize her face

This is actually very common in Chinese dramas it always makes me laugh because putting a bandage over the sleeve rather than over the womb itself is not logical LOL

That I don't like is that reason that she's that way because she was poisoned. One of the reasons why I love the beauty inside is because she didn't know why she was that way it just happened and she accepted that that's the way she was going to be for the rest of her life. So not only does it showcase the different forms of love but it's all about would you be willing to accept a person if they had a condition where once a month they were turning to somebody else so you had to accept them for any age race and gender. I feel like the implication is that she can be cured of this which I feel like takes away from the overall message of accepting someone and loving them no matter what

They left it and open ending people would have been really upset because the novel had a happy ending

As is her back was to him so how could she imagine him riding towards her when she couldn't see him? I mean we as the audience saw him but she not I don't think

Ah ok. Also it appears that she doesn't stays that way for the full 7 days. Cuz it look like after gave she was wondering why she was still with that other face? And was questioning why she hadn't changed back yet I can't imagine that that many days had passed but then again maybe I had cuz Chinese dramas don't show time very clearly lol

I didnt Consider an open ending though, because you saw her standing at the tree with him literally galloping towards her on his horse

So I have a question I just started watching this I know it is like the beauty inside, I was just curious Does she turn into different people adult, teenager or a child? And obviously, in the first episode, she changed into a man, but does her race still stay Chinese?

To be honest, I was kind of hoping that she would’ve got pregnant on the wedding night or some thing and when he came back, she was already pregnant or had already given birth. That way she would’ve had the baby to keep her busy and company while he was away lol.

I kind of hate to say it, but in the case of princess wanting, you have to Fight Fire With Fire. Princess wanning used consort li in her schemes so why couldn’t the female lead do the same. The only reason she has access to concert Lee is because she was the sister of her stepmother so they have a common person. How else would she have access to worn and imperial doctor but also even if she did warn him there’s a possibility that Wanning could’ve intercepted the message or he could’ve given himself away. The female lead tried her best not to involve innocent people, but at the end of the day, his death and the deaths of his families are still the result of princess warning so she’s purely to blame.

But Wanning wouldn’t be the one on the throne King Cheng sir would be, and with the military power he wheeled. Do you think they’d have a chance any chance at all if you were to the win the rebellion no

After reading spoilers in the novel, both she and Murdererous Shen get the karma that they deserve

But he himself wouldn’t have any power and that’s what he’s after, do you think that with it being her child and the way she is she would let him have any say and how it was raised no, the child would be completely under her control. So eventually, the child would have power, but never him.
