Here’s the thing though I feel like if he already had a predisposition towards having morally objectionable behaviour if he didn’t he would’ve steered clear from the princess and allied himseon the Emperor side to actually fight corruption.

Instead, he didn’t think twice about not only having an affair with the princess, but not even thinking twice about permanently getting rid of his wife because the princess wanted him to. So at the end of the day, it was still his choice to allow himself to be on her side or even have anything to do with her. So no I don’t pity him at all, even though he stated that he did love her. I don’t think he did because you can’t truly love someone and do what he did to her, I personally don’t think he feels guilty. I think he’s just paranoid about getting caught and what will happen when he does.

I’m just curious cause I know from others who’ve read the novel that the wedding actually doesn’t happen till after the war and they end up having a child. I would really like to see now that the weddings moved up if she has a child in his absence to keep her company since she doesn’t know if he’s dead or alive and since he’s made a bet with the Emperor to test her loyalty to see if she’ll remarry, which kind of pisses me off and not like the emperor at all I would really like to see him come home to find out that he actually has a child lol.

I have a question for novel readers when exactly is the princesses torture dungeon found? And when does JRY runaway was it after she found out her mom did all these awful things or before I’m just curious as to how they’ll match up the timeline to her ending up in the princesses torture dungeon?

Also, this is based off of a novel they already had to change the main genre of the novel from transmigration because that’s taboo. So they had to some of the storyline to incriminate that change from the novel as well. They also have to try to do justice to the novel. The problem is is based off of a novel, so they also have to do the novel justice as well, and they’ve already changed a bit because the novel was originally transmigration which they couldn’t put into the show so they had to change the storylines around that.

It’s so full of irony, her talking to him about how he promised his father on his deathbed to become the number one scholar in order to fight corruption, they are part of the corruption and they’re so deep in it that they can’t even see that. The fact that she can’t see how corrupt it is on the orders of the elder princess they set up to ruin his wife’s reputation and then kill her. The fact that they stand there thinking they have morally high ground and can talk about being justified and upstanding people when they can’t see that their own actions are morally reprehensible makes me can’t wait until they get punched by karma lol

You pity him? Let’s not forget he wanted to ruin her reputation and called her an adulterer, but he committed adultery first because he was involved with the princess while he was still married to the female lead. If he truly loved the female lead, I’m sure he could’ve communicated what was happening and how awful the princess was or even that he wasn’t comfortable around her or whatever the situation and they could’ve come up ways together to leave or get out of the situation. Instead all he cared about was the fastest path to get to the highest level without caring what would happen to his wife? Instead, once the princess propose that they ruin her reputation and get rid of her He never even blinked and just went along with it. I don’t think he feels guilty although we’re kind of led to believe that he is or does feel that way I think that he’s only paranoid of what could happen to him if he gets caught.

I honestly find it so hypocritical when his mother was reminding him of his promise on his father‘s deathbed become a top scholar in order to punish corrupt officials, and I was like you’ve got to be joking? I thought you guys are the corrupt officials all the heinous things that he’s done to the one person who stood by him, no matter what went against her family to marry him and gave everything to support him and you guys just tossed her out like garbage. When they were alone because she was supposed to be rehearsing and he was talking about all that morality and being adjusted an upright person I thought what BS do you actually believe that? Talk to myself you fallen so hard. You don’t have the right to talk about being adjusted an upright person you hypocrite. I can’t wait till karma comes and fight all of them 😂

It’s based on a novel and apparently there’s even less romance in the novel and you actually don’t see him too much in the first half because it’s very female centric. so they already gave us a treat by having way more interactions between them and the series and flirting with all wordplay and doublespeak

I loved how he used his fan to push SJY cloak off her shoulders and then when she went to pick it up, he wouldn’t let her touch it because it was dirty and instead replaced it with his own clothing 😂. If that is not an Alpha male staking his claim I don’t know what is 😂

I find it highly ironic that SJR mother keeps talking about how he promises his father to punish those corrupt officials by becoming a top ranking scholar, it’s like he’s become one of those corrupt officials you and his sister are also corrupt. You helped his drug instead of his wife to have her reputation ruined then drugged and took his wife drunk to her again, tied her up at attempted to kill her, which didn’t work and buried her alive. These aren’t the options of a justified operate and morally sound person you guys talking about fighting corruption is so ironic and laughable and I can’t wait until you all and the elder princess gets punched by karma 😂. Then maybe you’ll realize how far down the wrong path you’ve gone when it’s too late lol
