And this was how she come to learn of the Xue families injustice. Technically, although it’s not completely the truth it’s actually really close to the truth and would be an easy explanation as well.. at least this was my thought and it also would not have given away her identity either, as the maid could’ve confirmed it, and they could’ve easily talked to the nuns and confirmed that she received a beating that night without them having to admit that she isn’t JL.
