Oh, I’ve never read the novel, but from what I understand from someone else explaining it to me STL had just a bit apart like only 20% the novel and he was a lot younger. He was like 15. So he never viewed her as a romantic interest, and she never viewed him that way either. He only give verbal jobs too JZB because he didn’t think he was good enough for her lol. The novel apparently is very different as the poison aspect wasn’t a big deal. There was no heavenly grief or golden dream millet from what I’d read. The female lead had been receiving poison from the Empress since she was like 10 so her being poison wasn’t anything new and if she did, she was told and it was winning then she got the antidote. I think from what I read from somebody who read the novel when she went to go up against JZB the empress already knew I think that her son had appeared and just decided not to give her the antidote that month so the female made the decision to leave before even enter entering the tournament arena.

I personally think they should leave the Yuangong Kingdom to burn because it’s not like either one of them was treated very well there, but considering there are no more heirs now I don’t think that that will happen.

I always have to laugh when they have It’s like literally the water shouldn’t be that deep but then it’s like they’re in an ocean like when they fall into one of those ponds in like the palace or something like you can literally see the bottom and then they fall into it and suddenly it’s like unfathomably deep lol

See this is just my guess so I’m also hoping they’ll explain the reason lol. Since it was explained to MY that their memories are stored in those paintings and the only if they’re worshiped, can their divine consciousness? Stay at there in central home. No one else worships MY the way JZB does.

I was thinking that doesn’t make sense though because only the Bo Clan members seemingly can have these portraits and only if somebody worshipped them, can they put their memories into it. I think that he didn’t want her to know because the portrait changed to her I took screenshots and went back and looked and not only is the stance in the portrait different but the hair is different as well so I think the portrait actually was of MY which is why he didn’t want her to see it..

I think the difference is especially with JZB, he never harmed the innocent unlike STL. He even says in episode 32 that you have had to have killed 10 people. In order to learn the illusionary assassination technique.

The female lead also comes from an abusive background, so of course she doesn’t understand emotional intricacies.. She was also treated like a tool. Her mother even admits it that she never loved her. She only used her as a tool and a replacement for her son. If she showed weakness or losst the tournament she was punished, we see that early on an episode 19 when they’re using the soul seasoning technique on her. The memory that her mind grows up is the image of her in an isolated and lonely place. Her mother starts showing her affection when she thinks that she’s going to get the right answer out of her, but the minute she tells her that she can’t. She leaves her alone there and tells her she can remain there forever without family or friends, well, the female lead begs and cries her not to leave her alone there. Since this is why her mind conjured obviously it’s not the first time this has happened . Yes, she became STL’s light in the darkness when he came to see her tournament fight when she was like 15 or something? She was literally a teenager truckling with her own abuse, but still tried to to do something nice for someone? She was also a child herself. It’s not her fault that he clung to that momentary interaction and made it to be more than it was. She was also in survival mode..


As for STL trying to save JZB’s life by giving the female lead the Diwa root? Sure but he doesn’t do it without wanting something in return and that’s something in return is to ask her to marry him. The reason that JZB gave her the golden dream millet in the first and didn’t say anything was because he didn’t want her to feel like she has to repay him or be in debt to him he wants her to love him on her own. Where as yes STL does all these things for her, but he always expects her to develop feelings for him and when that’s not working, he emotionally blackmailed her. He always has the expectations that she will repay him somehow unlike JZB. Also, you can’t apply modern day mindsets to the characters since mental health doesn’t exist in these worlds lol.

Also, she does feel empathy for people since you know, she does say to her father that now that she knows she’s not actually the crown prince she could just up and leave? Why should their problems matter to her? After the way they cast her aside? Her dad master, she says to her basically that he knows she’s not the type of person to do that just because the problems have nothing to do with her and that she’s not just gonna up and leave for people. Even after her people treated her horribly and turned their backs on her. She still wants to save them from what’s coming so that says that she does have empathy.
She also came to the realization about how much people of the lower realms struggle because of the tournament. So yeah, you’re saying that she doesn’t have empathy and won’t be able to be a good ruler. That’s not true we see that when they first come to. Yuangong mountain and run into the associates of the little kids, brother.

Both leads have their own abusive and traumatic backgrounds and yet they never allowed themselves to harm the innocent period that’s the difference between them and STL.

This is what I was thinking cause I was like why can’t they work together? Lol. I think that

1)he’s going to miscalculate how much Buxui wants to see him so maybe he’ll spill everything to her.
2) that seriously does he expect her to sit around twiddling her thumbs? I think that he clearly miscalculates who she is lol
