What do you mean weak? He wasn’t weak? What spells? Help me remember lol
Ah Yes thank you for the reminder, well he was unconscious when they left the illusionary realm. He also had already punched a hole in it after the door had closed, which is why when she originally told him that they’ve been able to leave because the door was already there. He might’ve been a bit sus, but he didn’t question it too closely at that time I think.
It’s funny everyone annoyed that she was lying to him, but when he was lying to her later on about his relapse…
She has a lot of depth if you think about it because especially for her secret about her identity for one she’s an enemy territory, so if it got out, everybody would literally wanna kill her. Even when she does a soft launch and finally end up admitting her identity to her best friend who she no longer even her friend was like yeah don’t tell anyone cause they all wanna kill you. Even when she finally admits to her identity in front of her “father” who wasn’t even willing to show leniently and was gonna execute her, which she then downgraded to life imprisonment. He uses the excuse that I have to set an example of her, so I can’t be a lenient. It’s like if even her own father was going to kill her and ignore the years of their relationship. How could she expect anyone else not to? It wasn’t even her fault to begin with. It was a situation that was created by the empress who created the tire situation. The Empress didn’t even really get punished that badly just confinement? Yet she’s the one who was going to be put to death.
As for not letting anybody know that she was poisoned she’s been taught her entire life, not show weakness and when she did, she was punished for it. She even says to him at one point that Ming Xian isn’t the type of person to let anyone see that they were weak.
I don’t justify her actions or anything, and I think that despite the fact that they both think their reasons for lying are valid. Their lies both ended up, hurting the other person. She does admit that later that you know like because of her initial lie which causes miscommunication and misunderstanding, she acknowledges it because of the initial one she became trapped within it, which ended up hurting him.
I am someone who can’t lie to save my life, maybe it’s my neurodivergence but I literally can’t keep anything to myself, so I always think it’s best to be as completely honest as I can. I can still understand that she is dishonest for her own reasons because her life depends on it literally
omg when does all the lying STOPPPPP. it’s 2025….can we know drag out stuff we can clear with COMMUNICATION!?!?
I know, right, I don’t know why in fantasy and Xianxia dramas, the miscommunication and misunderstanding tropes are so rampant. It’s so aggravating. I think they only started to make them without them last year when the legend of Shen Li can out
It’s funny everyone annoyed that she was lying to him, but when he was lying to her later on about his relapse…
it does make sense considering all her dishonest she was out in the open like sure you figured it out from himself, but he also called her out on it and she confirmed it.
Also, it’s not that he was going to die slow death. He literally was making plants sacrifice himself.
The other thing too, is like her, not considering his feelings, but now that they’ve actually said they love each other and have admitted their feelings to each other. He’s not willing to consider her feelings and how she might feel without him when now she’s completely clean and it’s honest that she loves him a lot?
It’s funny everyone annoyed that she was lying to him, but when he was lying to her later on about his relapse…
I can tell the difference, he thought that if she didn’t know anything she’d be able to go on and live her life and everything will just go back to being normal without him that eventually she would move on and find someone else. She straight up, tells him that she will never find anyone else after, after everything they’ve been through and the fact that their relationship did start with dishonesty and lack of trust. That now that everything was in the open, she thought they’d move past that .
It’s funny everyone annoyed that she was lying to him, but when he was lying to her later on about his relapse…
What I’m saying is everybody calling her out for lying about being poisoned and her identity but nobody had anything to say when he didn’t tell the truth to her it goes both ways. You can’t call out one character for lying and then not call out the other character for lying they both have their reasons for not being honest. It’s hypocritical to bash the female lead for lying and then say nothing about the male lead.
Especially when he pointed out that it’s not that hard to be honest? So why then was he not honest to her when he’s trying to get her to tell the truth can’t just have it one way it goes both ways.
maybe this drama won't be the right fit for you - FL and ML are grey characters, they aren't your typical perfect…
In episode 19 when she’s having the soul seizing spell used against her one of her memories? That was used against her, when Lord Huangfeng was trying to find out where the golden dream millets is and JZB. Shows her in a dark place as a teenager I think, I think she lost a tournament or something, and her mother basically locked her in an isolated, lonely and dark place to reflect on her actions so that she won’t lose again. Basically telling her if she does what she wants, she’ll go back to loving her and treating her with affection. In this memory, she’s basically begging her mom not to leave her. Now, whether this is part of the spell that this is being conjured, so it’s not actually real or a memory we don’t know for sure. I think that this is someor her mind came up with you know that her mother did this to her at some point, locked her up in a dark and isolating place as punishment because she either lost the tournament or she showed a weakness and then walked away and left her there to reflect on her actions.
So don’t forget that even in her own realm when she finally comes clean about her identity her own father, the emperor wants to put her to death. He eventually relents only to use one of her own artefacts against her that would imprison her for eternity😂 , not just her Master as well! talk about being hypocritical since he supposedly hates artefacts and had confiscated all the ones she created.
They love each other, can't help but lying. Logically both are using each other. But this is good, ut handles…
Considering it went from a second level as drama and was upgraded to the highest level of the S plus drama that’s saying something. Also opening ratings were a seven on Douban? I think so that’s a pretty high opening rating for a fantasy drama. So it’s not just this page. This drama is insanely popular lol
Anything close to this? The only other drama that made me feel like this is LBFAD when it aired.
When Destiny brings the demon, honestly had better intimate scenes, lol. I would say that both are my favourites this year along with Moonlight mystique.
The 7.0 opening score on Douban for a fantasy series is pretty good!As for the whole "Why can't the FL be…
It’s funny everyone annoyed that she was lying to him, but when he was lying to her later on about his relapse and his plans to sacrifice himself no one had anything to say then?! 😂 When she called him out on it and his response was that there was no need to say anything because he had made the decision long ago. The only people I say calling him out were those that had defended the female lead every one else was silent 😂
Did they change storyline from novel and if yes what are the changes, is there any new synopsis
Is it gonna be like a reincarnation theme or transmigration theme or something like that because if so, then, yes, it probably will change because they can’t show those things accurately in dramas because of taboos on those subjects.
I thought the opening scores wouldn’t be released yet. I just googled whispers of fate and the only score that came up was the one for IMDb, which was like 9.2 so not sure how accurate that is?
