See you when destiny brings the demon and love in the clouds is pretty tied. I might give when Destiny brings the oedema a slightly higher mark just because there’s no misunderstandings no miscommunications to be honest. The male lead is a pretty green flag lol

The only reason I would make them around the same is just because I was way more obsessive with loving in the clouds than when Destiny brings a demon.

Moonlight my mistake. I loved it so I would say it’s third among these three dramas. But these three drama. I will definitely these three dramas are my favourites this year.

I think it deserves a pretty high score. I was completely obsessed with this drama and still am. Although yes, I don’t necessarily like the miscommunication and misunderstanding trope the rampant in these dramas, and it’ll probably take a while to change that. It was only within the last year with the legend of Shen Li that drama is started to move away from this tropes.

There will be plenty of other dramas though with these issues so if you don’t like it, then you might want to avoid them for now. I think that the cast did an amazing job and that they portrayed their characters perfectly.

Oh ok, for the most part, I didn’t have a problem with the screen writing or anything. I did have more a problem with the editing, as an example when it showed her coming forward to expose herself and introduce JZB as the actual Crown Prince. I’ve been really nice to have actually seen a conversation and the thought process and how they were going to do that since she were not together at this point? So it would’ve been really nice to see how they came to that decision that they were going to do that. So yeah, I feel like some of their decisions to edit out certain parts were not good decisions, but this is the only complaint I would have I think.

Apparently, a seven opening rating is actually pretty high from what I understand. As I don’t really understand how the rating system works on Douban

Gave it a 9 but that’s just because it’s very rare of me to be this obsessed over a drama to the point where I’m literally camped out in the MDL comment section every day for the duration of the drama or even reading discussions about it on Reddit.

Getting so involved in the character’s backstory’s to the point, I feel like I could write a psychological essay on either of them lol 😂

This is just Xuanhua or regular fantasy as Xianxias usually revolve around the heavenly and demonic realms

Just my thought on it, and I know the novel and the drum are very different because from spoilers in the novel, they actually did become the emperor and empress.

I personally think that, even though he stepped down as crown prints and basically told the emperor that he was still his prime and could go sire more heirs, I’m going to assume from the fact that he basically only had the empress and Lady Meng as his Noble Consort? I think that’s the one tear down from the empress? Since the Empress only ever felt threatened by her because the amount of affection he was showing that he has no other concubines or none had children. I hope to God the empress wouldn’t have any more children, considering what she did to her biological son and her adoptive daughter. With Lady Meng having been stripped of her ranks and demoted, she is out of the picture. So I don’t really think that he’ll have any more children to be honest. I think when it comes down to it that JZB would become the crown prince, if there was literally nobody else in the future. I think that they just wanna live their life right now free of the worries and obligations that those titles bring

I still haven’t moved on from this drama 😭. I was like OK I’m gonna move with blood River, whispers of fate, sword in the beloved and fight for love to my currently watching list, even though I haven’t started them and yet I’m over here watching the legend of Shen Li because I can’t bear to watch anything new right now because these guys are still living rent free in my heart

And people are saying that the drama is better? I think so because the stories are so different. You can’t really compare because other than the characters in the place names they’ve literally changed everything else. I haven’t read the novel though so this is just from what I gather from people who have.

I wouldn’t necessarily say Wuxia, but most of the fantasy and Xianxia dramas do, since they tend to be more heavy on the romance so for some reason, they seem to think that since it’s heavy on the romance, it should be heavy on the misunderstandings and miscommunication too lol.

Where is Wuxias on their ownare typically martial arts and there are plenty of Wuxias that don’t have romance so the miscommunication and misunderstanding tropes are absent.

Have you watched Royal rumors? It’s a romcom, but honestly, I loved that there was no love triangle, that there was no toxic second female lead basically she and the female lead there was jealousy from her to the female lead, but they started off as Frenemies and by the end of the drama they were best friends. I think even the emperor had a healthy relationship with the crown prince. I just felt like everything about the drama was so healthy, lol and that there are none of the usual tropes.

The way I interpreted, her petal loss was using power around certain events so I could be wrong. So like the first petal loss was when she drew her bow to beat the netherbeast, the second was when she used power in the illusionary realm whether it was to destroy it or reopen the gate? Since I’m not sure if the gate that he created when he came back would still be open. I could be wrong on this part, cause I couldn’t remember, but I think she started to lose another petal when she was trying to heal him after the struggle with the marriage stone when he realized that she had spiritual veins because when he put her in the prison sheended up being hit with the backlash? The third and fourth time was when she took out the caltrop from his chest, and then immediately went and helped Buxui, she was down to her last pedal at the heart Bond array of course, saving 27 when JZB lashed out.

Again, this is just my interpretation because I am didn’t understand 100% how it worked lol.
