I’ve thought about that, but I don’t think it’s possible. SH is the child of JTs wife that the chairman had killed and I’m pretty sure Manager Hwang is his father. HN is the son of NS husband that JT murdered and blamed on JWs dad. The only mystery is who his mother is.
Han Gyeol was very mature in how he handled meeting his mother and hearing her conversation on the phone with his uncle. It’s nice that his uncle didn’t throw his awful mother under the bus. She obviously abandoned him and has her own family now. She doesn’t care about him, only cares about the money from the property she wants.
This is one of the few current shows that I’m actually enjoying and not fast forwarding through. He’s adorable in this role and it’s fun watching this cute rom com.
Thank you. Thank you especially for bringing up those excellent points I wanted to but mine was getting too long.…
Yes, I like how her tormenter wasn’t a one dimensional villain. He was a complex character who at least showed some character development in a positive way and not just the typical one who gets a redemption arc without actually earning it. I only have 2 people in my life that i can share my obsession with the dramas and really appreciate this community of similar thinking fans. I enjoy reading everyone’s comments even when I don’t agree with them!
Great description!! I typically don’t go for such outrageous plots but I am absolutely loving this. I think it’s because the actors are perfect in their roles and the chemistry is off the charts. It actually has a decent sci-fi plot and is much better than many Hollywood blockbusters. It’s like nothing I’ve ever watched. And yes, I am one of the people addicted to those dramas you listed in addition to Rain kissed Fate. I’m so glad i stumbled upon this gem.
Great, thorough review. I too have not watched My Mister although i am a k drama fanatic but have started watching C dramas last year. i had no idea this was a remake of that drama which i always avoided even though it got great reviews. I thought this show was fantastic and will have to wait a while to watch My Mister. I want some distance between the two versions. Yes, there were so many things to love about this show. You brought up her relationship with her grandmother which was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in a drama. No words were spoken yet the love conveyed spoke volumes. It showed a level of care and devotion that is truly unmatched. Her send off was so touching and actually brought together his family in a new light. Her tormentor was pitiful and I am glad he finally let go of his anger and misplaced hate. The only loose ends i am unsure of is the relationship with his wife at the end. It seems more platonic and cooperative than loving. The leads age difference and stations in life would not make more than a platonic relationship possible. Plus she really needs to live and have friends and relationships with people her own age. This is one show that will stay with me for a long time.
I’m already imagining the final episode. I see a time hop with 2 devoted grandmothers to JW and HN baby and Manager Gu playing nanny. Chef/grandmother will be preparing gourmet baby food. SeMi will be a loving aunt. I’m not sure what i envision for YC and SH. Perhaps SH will get close with his newly found father and help run the barbecue restaurant with Manager Hwangs new love. JT will certainly be in jail and screaming about how he will get even with everyone. What are your ideas for the ending?
Another week is done. This leaves 14 episodes since it’s now listed as 102 episodes. Three weeks to go, should make the remaining ones pretty interesting.
