Agree. I don’t think that was the central theme. It was about family relationships and expectations. It had that multi generational story line and I really enjoyed how they portrayed the oldest generation as still having goals and wanting to be useful. The grandma in the fashion show was fantastic. It was also about personal growth. So many of the characters demonstrated that change from the beginning is the show to the end. Not only JH but the sheltered younger sister who was groomed to be a trophy wife but became an independent web toon designer. Other than the chairman and his wife who are the villains, every character was an improved version of themselves by the end. The romance was secondary but sufficient. I was glad there weren’t the usually love triangles and silly tropes and misunderstandings.

It was cute how his assistant and her designer friend were a couple at the end. I think it’s strongly implied that the cutest couple will get together eventually.

That’s how I felt. It seems we’re in the minority, lol.

I know I’m in the minority here in saying that the ending was satisfying. This show was about family and very specifically parenthood. Through all the ups and downs, disappointments, arguments, and differences of opinions.. parenting is about putting the life of your children above yourself. That was my take away from the drama. The ending for the chairman and his evil wife was definitely odd and I feel like she got more screen time that I cared to see in this final episode. Everyone else got their happy ending. I don’t think we needed romance in this episode because romance wasn’t the central theme. I really loved JH’s speech at the end to his dad on the beach while holding his son. For me, there was no unfinished business. I applaud the writer for keeping me interested for 6 months. I will miss this show.

I hope we get a time hop once JH is recuperated and we can see all the couples together. The last long weekly did that (Four Eagle Brothers) I just hope it’s not a rushed ending.

ML is one of my favorite actors. I first saw him in Fated to Love You. He was also so good in Miss Day and Night.
